  1. Opposite side, similar but different, notice no boarding hardware, and that little box, emergency canopy release. I also plan to possbily add a couple of pop out atmospheric data probes, though I am not sure if I will do that. Anything you all see that needs to be added? I will try to start on textures this weekend. Also anyone like to see a before and after shot before I start texturing?
  2. Cockpit is all but done: I just need to make a couple minor modifications around the canopy as well as add the canopy openning hardware. The dark area on the "canard" is a walk path, and the two ports above the ladder door are climbing handles for boarding. As always C&C are welcome.

  5. Very interesting, I agree that bot mode looks good, except for the spaced out shoulders, but boombox mode just looks odd. Man i hope they do some more MP editions, like megs, starscream, soundwave. I'd mention some of the autobots, but they already have the binaltechs.
  6. Looking good Doc, and Skypoet the only modeler on MW that is nutty enough to use a CAD program is me, but then again I don't model macross stuff, just put nods to it in my designs.
  7. Underside, if I have time tomorrow I will panel up the cockpit exterior, man I am almost afraid to look at the file size on this beast now.
  8. Nose Job: Man this part of the design has really given me frustrations, mostly due to the limitations of AUTOCAD. What started out as two seperate parts grew to seven, should have only been three, because the parts wouldn't rejoin together properly. I am however now contemplating remaking the nose in a completely angular fashion, maintain the same overall shape, but using angles instead of curves. Oh well. Anyway here it is.

  10. Side view, that discoloration is becuase I left a piece of one of the development canopies. As you can see there is plenty of room for the crew and good visibility, I am still debating a split canopy though. Oh and that gap there has been corrected on the new cockpit, I just haven't moved that into the master model yet, oops.
  11. Ok, was a busy day and didn't get as much done as I had hoped, just redesigned the canopy will work on the nose more later. The question is though, should I keep it a single piece as it is now or go back to a double piece like on the original?
  12. Kick the tires and light the fires big daddy: A better view of the aft end, you can see some of the panel lines a little more clearly here. I have tomorrow off from work, so I will play with the cockpit a little, experiment with the canopy then start on the cockpit and nose. I will probably ask for opinions on the canopy mods so C&C will be welcome. Shmitty: Thanks for the comments, I like how it is turning out too. Kin: Already commented on. Graham: lol, I was wondering when someone would comment on those titles, though I admit I messed up one, that was the dorsal hump, lol. And the mirror plane is gone, i just like playing with it, plus it gives you a decent view of the underside.
  13. Shark in the water: The ventral Torpedo Tubes are done, and so are the engines. The engine panel lines came out really subtle for some reason, hopefully they will look better once I texture it. Man texturing the engine will be a pain.
  14. I agree with Graham about the Thunder Hummer, it doesn't do anything for me. I'd much prefer the two seater mods.
  15. What textures, its all modeled in right now, except for the cockpit interior all else are just straight color maps.
  16. Line look a little cleaner from this angle, man texturing this thing is going to be fun when I get around to it.
  17. Baby Got Back: Finished the Ventral hump, you might be able to make out a couple more nods to the VF-1 in the panel lining, anyone guess what they are?
  18. Got some tail: The tail planes are finished, including a couple extra antennae, position and formation lights.

  21. Nice pic Exo, a little overdone on the motion blur but not bad.
  22. Last pic for now, tomorrow I will do the empanage planes, and start on the dorsal and ventral surfaces. I am so not looking forward to starting on the engines and cockpit. Before I start on the cockpit though i am going to experiment with the canopy, also with the main landing gears, find a way to extend them and angle them out, without cheating.
  23. Now the wing, the panel lines show up best from these angles.
  24. Update time: Finished building up the missile packs yesterday, that will be the first pic. Today I panelled the wings, including adding control surfaces and access panels. Here are the pics.
  25. Man this looks too cool for school, who thinks the monster is going to either: 1) blast the Aphos? 2) blast Nora? 3) blast Ivan? (sory I can't remember if that is the right name) 4) step on Mao? lol
