  1. Figure if they do make the VF-1D they have several color schemes they can go with: VT-102 Virgin Road Cannon Fodder VEFR-1 (basically an early version of the VE-1 made from a VF-1D) Plus a whole lot of unofficial schemes. I know I would buy a VF-1D to put next to my customized VF-1D just for comparison, especially a virgin road of VEFR-1.
  2. Max G is where your are most likely to peg the G-meter, but you can also do it in a sustained turn.

    Vf-5

Now I'm torn, I like them both really, sketchley's almost looks like a cartoon render of a 3-D modelling program, nice.
  4. Arggh no please no mention of DAWIA, I have a class on that week after next.
  5. he he OPSEC, and yeah Phalanx you are way off. Will make no more comments on the subject.
  6. The problem with saying is whether or not it is classified at all, and in this case I am not sure so I am keeping my mouth shut. I have actually given plenty of clues when you really think about it.
  7. um, can't give details but it has to do with the cold yes, not on the electronic or RAM, lets face it it gets very cold at altitude.
  8. I am not able to say why, but this is a very bad thing: http://www.f-16.net/news_article1812.html
  9. Haven't seen it yet, but there is one thing about these books, movies, and theories about Christ having a continuing bloodline that does bother me. They all seem to show this very linear bloodline that leads back to a single family. Now maybe it's just the engineer in me but this got my fiance and thinking. And even using a conservative estimate of two offspring per generation the produce two more off spring, and no intermarriage, after 80 generations (assuming a 25 year standard generation measure) you would get descendants measureing 1.2 x 10^24 people. Of course this is far larger then the world population, but even assuming intermarriage that basically implies that the whole of Europe, at the very least, would share in at least some genetic level the bloodline of Christ.
  10. Nice but what are the three craft below the Macross?
  11. Quick someone recast some VF-0 pilots for it.
  12. Is it just me or, does it appear that the seat in the cockpit of the MP-SS might somehow fold up into the cockpit? You can just see a seat in fighter mode but in robot mode it is gone, so do you think it pulls out, rotates up, what? If it rotates up then that is a cool gimmick, sort of like the VF-0, and in my mind makes MP-SS the unofficial VF-15.
  13. This is a funny thread because it is so pathetic
  14. ACtually I kind of like the name Fury, as it was the naval variant of the first operational jet to be used successfully by all services, the FJ-1 Fury, which was a variant of the F-86. And Phalanx the Typhoon is plenty stealthy, it just focuses on front quarter stealth which really the only place that it matters.

    Latest Custom 1/48

Great work Kurt, thanks. And for all those wondering it was requested to be in a tiger meet scheme with my squadron's markings on it, check the tail and chest armor.
  16. Mexico has a navy?
  17. Nice, not the best scan to the one side, but good none the less. Also I think it may not be properly transformed, look at the intakes, and I think that the cockpit may angle in more as well.
  18. Not really feeling up to a long lengthy reply but here is my two cents: Fighter/Maritime Strike: Get the Grippen, good STOL performance, with legs enough for what they need and is a good multirole platform with maritime strike capabilities. AEW: JSTARS, uses primarily off the shelf hardware so maintenance shouldn't be too bad, and they are farily inexpensive. Fighter/Attack: F/A-18C/D. If another platform is truly required/desired I would then buy F/A-18s, this will ease maintenance costs since they do use the same engine as the Grippen, making a common supply train. Also in this way you can use strictly western armament for all platforms.
  19. aarggh can't see the color pic at work, can someone repost?
  20. Oh fragging yes I will be getting that Starscream, maybe I can ask for it for X-mas from my fiance'.
  21. Very nice but what is with the black bits on the vertical stabs?
  22. That is a fanmade, it has been floating around for quite a while now.
  23. So are there any new pictures, or was Renato mistaken?
  24. I used to work there, and yes it is still around, but it has changed drastically, if you really want to get to know planes I would apply for a summer job there once you are in college. Of course the place has changed drastically and all of the old guard was all but kicked out by the current management, bunch of flatulating space camp buttheads. Still I would love to hear how the old place is doing before the the Space Camp 25 anniversary next year.
