Yeah, the matchbox valk is pretty bad. I wonder if it would actually be collectible (ie worth something) if the toy designers at matchbox actually made it so that it could transform.

Actually, after watching that clip I was suprised out how decent it looked. Compared to the Sentinels movie, that clip was actually watchable. I'm going to keep an open mind and reserve judgement for the final product. An actual finished trailer with voice and music completed would go a long way to selling this on me.

Yes, they definitely fixed a lot of problems. It's more balanced this time around. The AI in 3 would either flat out cheat or cross into your territory repeatedly and that really bugged me. Plus, it seemed like the AI would go to war with you over ANYTHING, and that was really frustrating. Just what my wife doesn't want to hear. Anytime I bring up anything with the PC, she knows it's going to be pricey. I'm probably going to putter along with my 512 RAM and 9800 PRO until my birthday early next year and then I'll just build or buy a new desktop. Besides, I still have valks to buy!

Yeah, I never really associated Civ with being a system hog, but my 3 year old pc is just barely running it when there's a lot going on (e.g. I declare war). My system definitely meets the recommended requirements, but it start stuttering like porky pig when I try to fight a war on multiple fronts.

Civ 4 came out this week and I was just wondering what my fellow MWers thought of the finished product. It's still as addictive as ever and much easier on the eyes in this incarnation. Anybody else losing hours over this one?

I agree with most of what I've read. A couple more that cause me to immediately change the channel: Jimmy Fallon Anyone from the cast of Smallville (I know this show has some kind of fanbase, but to me it's Dawson's Creek meets Superman and it's terrible) Scott Bakula (this guy's range is wooden to whiny) Oh, and Ashley Judd. She's easy on the eyes, but that's about it.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the three hours is coming from the gratuitous use of mutliple slow motion shots.

I can't imagine that there would be a lot of SW fans running out there and buying this today. I think we all know that sooner or later (holiday season next year?), GL will release the uber 6 film box set remastered with all new scenes and even more characters that get less than 1 minute of screen time! I'm too jaded by eps 1-3 to buy these individually.

Wow, another amazingly bad idea from Hollywood. I know, let's remake the first ALIEN next, but cast Jennifer Love Hewitt as Ripley and one of the backstreet boys in the John Hurt role! Ahnold should hurt someone for even suggesting this crazy idea.

Those panels actually make it seem like it just might be a retelling of the DT series from book 1 on. Or maybe even a reboot from the end of book 7. I'm definitely going to be picking up the first ish when it hits the stores, just because I'm a DT fanatic (even though book 7 pretty much jumped the shark).
