  1. Wasn't it freakishly expensive?
  2. Or the Short Stirling. But yes, the B-17, at least from the E model onwards, was built incredibly strongly, given a large amount of armor plates, and literally bristled with.50 calibers. All that meant a reduced bomb load. But it also meant more 17s got back home to England.
  3. Good job Scyla, it also looks like the outer wings will fold inward. The backpack may well be smaller than you think.

If it's less than $500 I'll be shocked. If it is, that's Bandai's gauntlet to Arcadia's face.
  5. Matter of fact, you can JUST see them in the upper left of this pic. Looks like they're attached to a 2 in fighter mode. And the sign says 2016, 32,000 yen!
  6. Quoted for truth. My daughter's upset at the lack of Black Widow role-play stuff too.
  7. The Draken III has a delta wing. Problem solved.
  8. Were I in the market for a new Android, Nexus 5X. If for no other reason than the guaranteed timely Android updates straight from Google. Security is a big concern for me with that OS. Nexus 6P if you have to go that big.
  9. Um... like what?
  10. Yes they are. The extreme dogtooth is only found on the lead Draken.
  11. 27. Not even close.
  12. It has two engines? They're awfully close together, aren't they? Any hardpoints on the wings or any idea of armament?
  13. Arcadia can't die until they reissue the VF-1 Super/Strike parts. God will not allow it!!
  14. It's just occurred to me that, since the Draken III's don't have a transparent canopy, the pilots must fly them completely through sensor inputs, and perhaps a computer generated image of the outside world. Take it a step further, and perhaps the Knights are cyborgs, and those hair things are their brain interface to the Draken's systems.
  15. No, I believe it's the rainbow coating itself that might crack. The plastic canopy is perfectly fine. I don't know what might cause the coating to crack, but you can't fix it once it does. You either have to live with it or remove it.

There's one in black, white and grey with a winged reaper itasha that I'll pick up. That's going to be as close as we'll get. Bet the 25 will be the CF in this series, if there's a CF at all. As for ammo for the forearm guns: what if they're mass drivers? Then the ammo would just be solid shot, with no propellant to worry about, and a lot of it could be efficiently stored.
  17. That's a thought. A non-humanoid Battroid mode? A transformation reminiscent of the VB-6 König Monster? Hmm.
  18. OK, upon study of the pics, I can say those flaps are identical mirrors of each other. One is angled higher than the other, that's all. The detailing on them is identical. There's been speculation about the number of engines this thing has-one or two. The feet that join together mean the exhaust chambers would be so close together for two engines that they'd have to be ridiculously thin in order to fit. I therefore propose that this Valkyrie has one BIG thermonuclear turbine, and the legs and feet each contain one half of the exhaust chamber, which in fighter mode combine into one. Because Overtechnology. Also, the more I see it, the more I like the 31. Plenty of wing, sleek fuselage.

Wow. That hip joint looks... complicated. Ball joint into another ball joint(?) into a hinge. I think.

I wonder if the missile pod is smaller in the 31 than the 30, and if the armature holding it attaches to a different spot. If so, that could explain how it vanishes in Battroid.
  21. What. The. Actual. Hell.

LOVE the nose. Shorter than the 25's, and elegantly curved. Nice canopy shape too. Air intakes look a bit broad-sided to the airflow and blocky. Kinda clumsy transition between the fuselage side and the wing root. Nice and cohesive Battroid mode and very nice Gerwalk. Like the guns and micro-missile launchers. Oh, and single seater, apparently. It has the panel behind the first cockpit like the 25, dunno if it's removable. Overall, very nice bird!
  23. Not sure. The thread is going so fast, I think we're talking about girls who transform into Valkyries into idol singers with deployable hair guns, and then I saw a pink haired girl with lovely rounded plot devices and now we're talking about ships that turn into girls into Knights of Wind, who are dudes. Yeah. That's it.
