And more skin-tight. Pretty soon, all you'll have to imagine is the color of the various bits.

Saburo is the sole reason I own a VF-27B now. His pics of Brera's ride just made it look... so... uhhh.... urrrkk.... Say, next Friday is the pre-versary of its first flight! (And my birthday). Only 42 years to go... -
Hope they do this for the VF-4G. The process of production is almost as interesting as the toy itself. Plus, pics for the archives.

And that's what led to RR getting bought by BMW, and Bentley by VW. Those 1% don't spend money too often. Companies don't last without being profitable, unless subsidized by the government, or bought by other, larger companies. Who then want profitability.
-
Sweet, sweet money. The answer to at least 70% of the "whys". VW wants Bentley to be more profitable. The way to do that is an SUV, which apparently market research says its customer really want. This also gives them economies of scale, so that whatever new chassis, suspension bits, and so on they come up with can be spread around further. Finally, an SUV doesn't cost too much more to make than a sedan, but you can charge a lot more for it, which means more profit right there. So yeah. Money.

That happens in real life. Look up a Polish RAF pilot named Josef Frantisek. During the Battle of Britain, he flew Hurricanes and was considered a terrible team player and lacked discipline. However, he had already flown with the Czechs and Poles, with a couple hundred flight hours. So they let him pretty much fly and fight on his own, and I believe he scored 14? 19? confirmed before he flew himself into the ground, supposedly while showing off aerobatics to his girlfriend. So yeah. Desperate times call for any able-bodied person who can fly and fight, to fly and fight.

It looks great with super parts! And it occurs to me, I'm kinda surprised Bandai hasn't done a Web Shop Special with them yet...

Also need some pylons for under the wings and fuselage.

You'll have to get the vintage KC light caps though. The current ones have a different font, if you care that much.

Better be dang strong, because we don't know how much weight it has to support. I'd suggest bar magnets.

Aside from the entire VF-25 Version 1 debacle, that is. Still, Bandai has gotten better over the last few years. Somehow, Arcadia's gotten worse. Or unlucky. Either way, I'm getting my VF-4, but I'll be more careful with it than I am my CF 1A.
-
Gotta ask: bright white with red, blue, yellow, and green stripes (SDF's VF-1s), and then Max and Millia's bright blue and red ones, AREN'T airshow paint jobs? Just saying, there's definitely precedent for Macross warplanes to be painted that way, it's not just the 31s.

Took 2 years of kenjutsu, in the Itto-Ryu form. Lots of fun, lots of sweat. I moved away and haven't found a new dojo, but I still practice what I did learn.

Careful. They may yet be so, in the final release. Never dismiss Bandai's desire to save a Sen here and there.

Yeah, and that also explains the VF-4's lower price compared to the 0. They changed nothing about the mold. Now we just have to worry about their choice of plastic, and their changed QC methods.

More accessible to the Japanese watching it at the time, perhaps? Or, Hikaru and Co. were used to apartments from before the fighting, and more than anything else wanted something normal and comforting. By the way, what's the definitive way to watch this?

Carefully and beautifully. 😄 -
Agreed. What platform is this using? I can't see too many uses for a rear-drive compact car platform, so I don't see many economies of scale. I'll say, since Toyota is a BIG car maker and they'll pull absolutely as much as they can from the corporate parts bin to keep costs down, that the base model of this car will run $18,000. Don't expect A/C or power windows at that price, either.
