    If it helps, in the unrelated anime Yukikaze the main recon aircraft, the Super Sylph, has a very similar antenna described as a TARPS blade antenna. As Yukikaze was made before Frontier, it’s possible that a bit of cribbing was done. Still, arm-and-underside mounted sensors and antenna have a long tradition in Macross since the first VE-1 ELINTSeeker.

    So Wright did a good deed, in his mind, and screwed up the future monumentally as a result? As for Lady M being the original Mikumo... you may well have something there, old bean. It would explain further the deference everyone shows her as well as the cavalier way she’s used. And when it comes to milking molds, where’s the cat-people beige VF-171 Meowkyrie, anyway!!

    Almost positive this is a small scale nontransformable model. Lack of surface detail, the engraved lines in the flight deck, and the lack of screws and mechanical bits make me think so.

    Ok, now that I’ve derailed the thread, I’ll get it back on track. Any word on how much the various Valkyries weigh?

    That seems pretty constant in sci-fi anime. In the original Evangelion Misato drove a Renault Alpine modified to electric, in the manga Kaji has a Lotus 1600. In the Sky Crawlers, Kusanagi has a personal Porsche 911 from the 80’s, dunno the chassis generation. And let’s not forget Batou’s classic car collection in Ghost in the Shell. Makes you think these guys are all motorheads deep down, or perhaps not so deep.

    Also: panel lining, missile bodies painted, and landing gear and bays painted white and washed a bit as you can see. It’s about the best 29 available, which is why I jumped on it!

    I finally got hold of a set of VF-27 Super parts thanks to Mickyg! I may have also bought his panel lined and color corrected YF-29 Isamu Type along with its Super parts kindasortamaybe by accident... but shipping from Oz is a bear, need to bundle while you can!

    Ayup. Still doesn’t stop me wanting one though. It’s a nice design. I’m surprised Bandai didn’t go ahead and make a tan CF one from Delta.

    If that’s how you guys feel, please PM me. I’m sure we can come to a reasonable price for them. I’ve just imported Super parts for my VF-27 from Australia, I’m capable of anything at this point!
