    Ah, was on a load this weekend trying to get to Lt Commander. I'll probably take tomorrow the next couple days off, or if I do play, only do a mission or two, instead of the multi-hour sittings I've been doing all weekend. Finally retire my Centaur/Miranda and in with the Constitution Refit (originally I used Excalibur secondary hull, as well as nacelles, but will be permanently running with the Constitution Refit secodary hull, as well. The Battle 7 Fleet has been most helpful (well only ran into 1 in the actual game, but hoping that will change now that I can actually do decently difficult missions without getting roasted. Looking at the other Tier 2-4, ships, don't really think I'm gonna want anything until Captain, and then it'll most likely be a Sovereign variant, though I could see one of the other Tier 5 escorts. So no Excelsiors or Grissom type ships, huh? Balance wise, I think they should have probably limited the science ships to fewer slots that their comparable tier cruisers. Cruisers should be turning slower but should pack more weaponry than even the escorts (the Defiant was a freak outlier and should remain that way, even in the game). Tier 2 science ships should have 2 forward, 1 rear, for example (compared to 2/2 for cruisers and 3/1 for escorts IIRC).

    All comes back to what Toynami should do and that's a v2 Alpha. Get rid of the die-cast, get tolerances right to get rid of the arch and incorporate the new tricks they picked up from their Aoshima partnership (ratcheted joints, etc). As good as it is, it could a v2 Beta could follow with a retracting connecting bar/cradle, folding landing gear, as well as the missiles in the shoulders. That's more of a refinement, though.

    Agh, forgot the post office closed at 1 today. Now my CMs Legioss/Tread is still there... open 8-5... means I gotta take a day off or go in late or leave way early... most likely I wanna take a day off anyway.

    What's something that I should want? I was browsing the Fleet bank and still making sense out of it all. Think I got a good handle... I need xp more than anything, though glancing at the ship prices in the shipyard, I could see where some of those bajillion energy credits could come in handy.

    Ok, cool. Got in. Suppose I still need to work on some of my stuff before I dare follow any of you cats around. Wasted a bunch of points on frivolous renames of my ships before I realized it was costing me points. How do I redo my uniforms anyway? I wanna put on the TWOK set I got from the BD TOS Season 3...

    possible accessories that could go in add-ons/sets re-releases/repaints: 0) Protect Armor 1) Radome/recon version 2) Foldo Boosta 3) Rocket Boosters 4) Beam weapon/gunpod 5) external hard point missiles (including NATO/JASDF that many of us wanna see for the VF-0/VF-1v2 line, but also Frontier style weapons and intermediary hypotheticals), including the reaction missiles from Operation: Stargazer 6) Ground crews (not like Yamato has alot of competition here in 1/60 scale).

    TV. I've never actually been super fond of DYRL's story deviation... I prefer the TV design and colors for the SDF-1, as well, though like the additional detail from DYRL. I always found it kinda pointless to do like that. Why couldn't they have just done a feature length 2012 type story with the launch of Megaroad 1 and encountering another Zentran and/or Meltran fleet and maybe given us more than a hint of the VF-4? The upgrades to the VF-1, introduction of the Strike packs, etc would have all made complete sense. I do prefer the voice actor Robotech used for Roy, though that might be my childhood nostalgia calling. I do think it's more appropriate to a tall blonde guy, but obviously prefer seeing the naked chics he decorated his walls with rather than taking that out.

    It's actually going to come with the booster? That's pretty cool, if so.

    Heh, well an audiophile doesn't want weird reflections caused by cables or things sticking out just like a videophile doesn't want those damned colored LED's messing with the black levels. Both tend to hide equipment away in an adjoining equipment room, if possible.

    I still enjoy my Windows, but always had an inclination to Unix and Linux, too. It's actually been a couple years since I did a new SuSE build. I was going to do an XGL setup but never got around to it. Now I'm pondering a dual boot on my new PC hardware with AIGLX.

    Sheesh finished the torrent last night on my MBP. Transfering it to my new PC now. Can you stack the freebies? Buddy sent me a 10 day and I got the Del Taco thing, which I heard is 30 day?

    I am kinda thinking I might want a green VF-27 but probably not willing to pay extra for it. I'll wait and hope to see a Yamato take some-day, maybe.

    I am DEFINITELY getting a Shadow Beta. It would be silly for them to NOT make it. They already have the mold... it's just a repaint. At the very least make it an rt.com exclusive.
