    Honestly this series needs a good shot of fratricide, take them both out and let the next generation of force users forge their own path untainted the priors' views. Hopefully those books are on technic and not philosophy.

    Most recent concert on BluRay is LIVE2018 "WALKURE wa Uragiranai" at Yokohama Arena, release date is 10/24/18, linked is the dual set but they are selling the days seperate. Prior to that is LIVE 2017 "WALKURE ga Tomaranai" at Yokohama Arena and Macross Frontier Chojiku Super Live cosmic nyaan (Cosmic Musume) Those are what I found on CDJapan, I'm sure there are more elsewhere.

    Not so obvious to be honest. I've seen the series twice, plus the movie twice and didn't pick up on this and the movie it's more believable for her to develop a relation with Hayate as they have an assumed history prior to the start of said movie. I can see why you would see this though the key dialog and scenes for this are about as long as a commercial break.

    Well you have one of three right, Leon is on the spectrum, but from ep 3ish on it's a monster of the week with more Power Ranger style villain.

    I binged the series over the weekend. Yeah agreed for the most part. I was entertained, but this isn't a series I'll be passing to my friends. On the mecha note, I swear the designs looked familiar past the Kawamori aesthetic. The tank and flyer looked like Gypsy and the red jeager from uprising and the sniper was so close to Master Chief it was laughable. Also it seems like this series is supposed to continue as the last ep ends like there is another one coming. I'm guessing that is what the OVA/movie is supposed to concluded the story? I hope.

    So Dragon Pilot hits US Netflix on the 21st and Last Hope: Pandora dropped this morning.... Guess I know what I'm binge for the next two weekends.

    Yeah, I heard back from them. Seems a website update caused the order to disappear on my end, not theirs. So fixed the issue and I'm good and it's in my warehouse.

    Well my most recent CDJapan order arrived. I'm going to see about painting the valk in mirage's colours cause I like the scheme and I'm going to see if I can take her hair and use it on the cat-girl coming in decemeber.

    Watched thru the movies this weekend so I've seen all of it to date. Golden Wings is a bit jarring since the story/designs are based on the manga. Also what number did you get? Also watched the Delta movie this weekend since it arrived. Not bad, better then the series and I started a watch of Monogatari.

    Seems about right on the timing, Frontier isn't the first nor the last series I stopped at just prior to the good parts. From my movie watching, yeah full agree on the recycling of the prior series. That seems to be a trend these days with franchise series, which is sad. Also understanding and if I could get a legit sub of the series I'd budget out for in a heart-beat. But let be ok for one and the flood gates open...

    Well it is a bit of a coincidence concerning my view of Sheryl. I only saw her in the movies as I stopped watching the series at episode 5. Something was urking me about the series proper so I opted to skip to the films, which in the films she seemed much nicer and more human then Mikumo. On that note if you can direct me to a way to watch the series that isn't the STD filled pirate site or poor youtube videos I'll give the frontier series a full go. Also looking for Zero as I wasn't able to see that before the outbreak hit my comp.

    My head canon is that delta is pulling the franchise to make M2 canon and with it in the 2090s it still is a possiblity. Also I find the sheryl Nome/Mikumo connection incorrect. Mikumo is more of a Sharon Apple knockoff, just with a physical form. Also in my recent rewatch of the series I noticed Mikumo is a bit of a bitch. Plus since most of her actions seems to me to make her other-worldly I never got the creep factor. With her being an artifical being the age thing was just to make her the youngest of the group in character (as Junna is irl the youngest of Walkure) as well as a possible flip on the 900 year old loli trope. Granted her existance is illegal, but if Lady M has half the pull shown that will be made an exception as time moves on. I'm not sure if any of this is really brotched in the movie, once my copy arrives (left Japan yesterday finally) I'll give it a watch. As for the movie I'm expecting Interstellar 5555: Macross edition, if I get that I happy.

    So basically since the writers just didn't bother exploring, their creeps. Not surprising from a franchise that has a race of child soldiers (zentradi), but that is can of worms another series tends to take on (Gundam). Most were designed via committee to check off boxes to attract new fans, but that's been known for a while. On a side note as a thought experiment: What if Mikumo was not a clone but an android. Do the cloning laws and rights still apply?

    The more I'm hearing about this, the more I'm seeing a case of 'the blinders being on' Honestly the fact that Mikumo is three years old is a moot point since she is an artifical being. At that point the age of the body has nothing to do with anything and her lack of social grace just proves that her creators see her as a tool and not a living sentient being. Mikumo has a only one main purpose, to be a fold singer. She's no different then the clone troopers in star wars.
