Everytime I go to Japan the stores seem to be sold out of YF19 kits Except the time when the kit was first made available, then the stores had loads of them. Shame I never got on then. I agree though they should explore the rest of the options they have. A Gerwalk kit can be made from a Battroid and Fighter kit and a bit of bashing of a couple of bits. They must know and Im sure read Dengeki and Hobby Japan. An official kit would be easy you only need make the bashed parts and supply only the parts needed from the Battroid and fighter to do the rest. Bring on a 1/72 VF17, Dont make me have to resort to making one.

Quite cool some of his other designs are good too. I especially like the Huey Duie and Louie from Slilent Running

Well Finally got to see it last night. The whole cinema was filled with adults mostly in the very late 20`s to mid 30`s. Kinda expected that as it was a late showing. Great no kids spoiling things. Most everyting that I think has been said already by others here. On the whole I was impressed, the only bits for me were the Mikaela and Sam bit looking over Bumblebees engine. No its not the distributor cap that engine has coil packs and no it dosent have double pump carbs (whatever they are) that engine wis injection. The over use of "more than meets the eye" was noticable. The shaky cam thing is anoying sometimes. It needs to be used less as I think they now use it as a way of hiding shody film work. I did feel that the shots were sometimes a bit to closed in and you didnt get to see the whole action area. Some of the comedy moments made the Autobots look a bit lame. Jazz WTF, you better bring him back in TF2 The usual computer nerd bits were there Hey I`ll hack the (insert computer network of goverment system) with my amazing computer know how. clickety click. Im in in five keystrokes. What I really loved. The nokia phone feral TF, shoulda had more of that stuff like caged up PDA`s and gone mad laptops. The Starscream flight fights were excellent. makes me hopeful that technology is able to pull that off so mabe one day they could do a live action Macross/Roblowtech type thing. The Megatron and Optimus fight was good. Ironhide doing his blaster boosted roll was the only time I though "Im glad that Bay did theis film as only he can do stuff like that" The homage ideas like the Bumblebee and the Beetle bit in the car yard was nice and very good for us G1 vetrans. Megs saying "discusting" and flicking the man away while he was lying on the floor, funny and very DYRL You just know that the allspark will be back Sams dog will wee on it and it`ll regrow or something, Putting Megs at the bottom of the atlantic is not gonna stop him or the others, and Starscream going into orbit I can only supose to get more of his comrades, Afterall Bumblebee got Prime and co And Primes message transmition at the end is gonna help set it up fo the sequal. Not the greatest film story wise but I`ll see it agian and buy it on DVD.

As hes too old for the main part he could do a cameo as Knights dad or as Devon Myles, if he can do his English acent well enough.

I got a CF a green one and a Hikaru, at least I got the chase figure. I gave the Hikaru to my brother but Hopefully I can get another one some day. I really hate this limmited release stuff they come out and every body buys up multipul sets just to hock em on eBay for stupid money.

Yes it did In the U.K parents complained about the deaths of many of the characters and the fact that some children were scared. That and the fact that some wanted it banned because of the "S" word that Spike says just before Unicron eats him and BumbleBee.

Well I like it. I know how much pain you have gone through to do this skin. I had to do forum skinning work for the Clan I belonged to when I used to play MechWarrior. The time involved just getting the colours right, is bad enough. Then after youve had everyone agree on a theme and than got the source photos and effects you an kinda get on with it, As everyone has their own opinion mabe somone should take up the chalenge and design an alt one so users have the choice. There are how too etc on the net the artisic bit is up to the designer though. Just an idea.

I love it when they are that detailed, it really serves well if you are that anal about authenticity. If it dont look right it aint right thats what I say Tamiya extra thin and a collection of rubberbands should be in every builders construction kit.

So it fairly posible to get anime acurate provided your up for a bit of creativeness

Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!

The British Empire The last of the great conglomeration empires recent enough in History to be a good example as it`s not quite 100 years since its demise. How long until the U.N the current version of conglomeration empire falls ? Read a book on the Clarkes Law theory that placed its ideas against cultural mythology and religious stories for most of the popular belief systems. kinda explanined them away removing the religion and chinese wispers elements from each giving credible ideas for each case, vs the for and against and orginal story etc. Was very interesting if a little deep sometimes. -
Where did you get all the correct greeblies from ?
-
Oh yes Whenever there is a choice I always go for the directors cut version. Even if it means I give the non directors cut version that I got when it came out on DVD to my brother. In the case of Abyss it makes the film I think. The sad thing is sometimes the socalled directors cut edditions are not a lot more than the original release with out takes and a few how we did it docmentries. In these cases you could say the film co is tring to cash in on us, but for the most part they are worth getting.

Yup those were the links I was going to post.

Wow I Thought this would gernerate some interesting P.O.V`s Im guessing that some of the variations visually are much the same to look at as they were more electronic upgrades. I only ever really got to see the Lynx helos when I was doing my Airframe apprentiship (dang me for changing to electronics) One of the upgrades for the Lynx was two crates of gear and a new paint job an an engine replacement. A couple of the ones They did while I was there were more "that pile of stuff is what we dont need, these two bits are what were keeping" So with that in mind did Hasegawa make a anime true kit or was it just an F-14A with a macross paint job and decals with a few missiles and a Chin pilot ? I only ask as I never saw one in the flesh. Eiather way The F-14 and the F-4 are my favorite Aircraft ever so I wont here a bad thing said against em

I want one. Where can you get em ? My bro is going to Miniapolis (sp?) this weekend if they are easy to find maybe he could get me one. -
Well the bit of Tamiya Rust I ( same as WM) put on using the blusher stick Tamiya supply with the set, It has stayed on real well even though I have deliberately rubbed it and didnt really bother to put it on that well in the first place. I havve not even bothered to Future it so its all "Ou Naturel". It stays in the knooks and crannies well and just makes it look a bit dirty and used. When I finish it thats the sort of look im going for. This after all a good sculpt toy of a robot that fights other robots and flies around at mach 5 or whatever. Worn out and abused it should be, not showroom fresh.
