  1. the more I see images of this movie the more excited I get. I hope this movie turns out just as good as robot jox.
  2. Yeah, I have to agree, the original G1 sound effect did not really match to smoothly. As much as I dislike starscreams bot mode, he seem like he will be a major character in the movie. Starscream is a beast. I cant wait to see how megatrons character plays out. When I see megatron, the song rammstein starts playing in my head.
  3. wow, those transformation sequneces for starscream and blackout are awesome. I wonder if they will be able to make the autobot transformations just as exciting. I mean, a jet coming in at mach 1 and transforming and blackout coming to a hover and transforming are hard to beat. So far, the autobots just kind of come to a rolling stop and transform. Ill bet we will be suprised. Looking forward to this movie.
  4. yeah, well its the 3rd generation of the VW Van. Came out in the 80s. The vanagon Westfalia would be the camper version with the pop top tent. I have one and here is the vehicle specs straight out of the book. gross vehicle weight = 4,000 lbs hp = 68 no joke with a power to weight ratio like that, this thing moves I tell ya.
  5. Pontiacs and muscle cars are great and all, but you really can't talk about speed and power without mentioning the Vanagon. Put put put, shimmy....shimmy....shimmmy...put put put.
  6. thats pretty cool. If I had the time, I would try and build one.
  7. ha ha yeah, I was just thinking that. I just stare at my collection. Thats about it. la la la....
  8. ha ha , kind of looks like that nurse on south park that has the body growing out the side of her head. They should do a cod-piece with the same transformation style.
  9. True, but you know somebody was thinking it.
  10. Bejeezus 1/1 lowviz, I had to take a day off work just to read your one post. Diecast is great on toys if used in the appropriate parts.
  11. Isn't that what MW is all about? Nitpicking. I enjoyed the animation for what it was. I doubt the people that produced this had historical accuracy(sp) as top priority.
  12. he he, that was great. Check out the GI Joe PSAs too, there pretty funny.
  13. though not Macross, the toy that got me started on Macross was a Legioss I saw at the swapmeet over 20 years ago. The $25 price tag on the legioss meant that I had to save up my lunch money for over a month. I got .60 cents a day for school lunch. In the meantime, I would visit my precious Legioss almost on a daily basis. All of a sudden, they added takatoku toys to there swapmeet store inventory. There in all there glory was Macross, Orguss, Batrain, ect.....Long story short. I did not eat lunch for months but ended up with a lot of Takatoku toys. Keep in mind that I had all these toys well before I knew what Macross was and before robotech was even shown on t.v. "The rest is history" as they say.
  14. lookin good, looking good. Skull-1, your painting skills are showing much improvement. Thats a real nice low viz 1/55.
  15. damn nice Mospeada collection right there. Schwiiiiiiiing!
  16. judging by the amount of 1/48s you have, I refuse to believe you are dating a girl. j/k
  17. I like toynami(not over yamato). I dont think toynamis products are great, but I dont hate them either if the price is right. The main problem is that toynami has a monopoly over mospeada merchandise. So we really can not vote with our pocketbooks. If you are like me and just buy anything mospeada, then your only choice is toynami or vintage. If toynami is going to call something a masterpiece and charge $80, it should live up to that standard. I dont mind paying $80 for the alphas or even more, I just want the products to be worth my money. At this point, I still buy toynami products (only on clearance). Im just happy to get some alphas, cyclones, and maybe a beta. Of course I would be happier if Yamato or Bandai made them. I wish toynami would put more emphasis on the toy itself instead of the box. I would prefer to pull a true masterpiece toy out of a plain brown box then to have a masterpiece box enclosing a far from masterpiece toy. Not trying to get political, but its simply capatalism. Make products the cheapest way possible and charge a lot to increase profits. Especially when the company has a monopoly, the quality will suffer.
  18. Nah, classics jetfire is not as good as a 1/48, ITS BETTER!
  19. Yeah I see it now. Prime is going to be an interesting transformation. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
  20. The toys look great. Where did the nose of the truck go on prime? I dont see it in robot mode. I hope the nose piece of the truck does not just pull off. If it does, it should at least snap back onto prime somehow. Also, Megatron is looking much better than I anticipated. Im not to sure about that automorphin gimmick. Usually that stuff will ruin the transformation or you lose detail on the toy because of it.
  21. these are not exclusive to Affees military base stores. These were sold at wal marts a few years back. But only some wal marts had them. Though it is possible that they may be exclusive to Affees now.
  22. Awesome work. Thanks for posting. If you can, a pic of a 1/48 in gerwalk mode flying in between buildings would be a classic. Too bad you dont have a VF-1D. That and you can put that girl in the gerwalks hands to replicate that scene. Whats that girls name?
  23. I have never seen the t.v. show, but after watching the intro, is does seem to be very mospeada-ish. I wonder wich show came first.
  24. I think will be getting one of those MP3 player soudwaves. I don't know how many times the thought has crossed my mind to try and mod a soundwave and put a working mp3 in it. Now I can just go buy one. Sweeet!
