Hey, First time posting here in the gundam section. I have a question about both the GFF Metal Composite #1005 Zeta Plus A1/C1 Hummingbird (bst) and the GFF #0017 Zeta Plus A1/C1 Hummingbird (bst). What are the major differences? I know the metal composite is 1/100 scale and I have seen the anymoon video review on it. But is the cheaper non-metal composite version just as good. I have so little to spend on toys per year, I want to get the best bang for my buck, so to speak. Thank You! Twich

It looks like the SAP gets plugged into those tabs on the top of the chest piece, perhaps this is why the did not change after fan feedback that was done by fellow MWers. I kinda like the design, but will have to wait how good the pre order discount will be. Twich

Part is broken into many little plastic shards, centered around the connection points were the rod connects the nose one to the little part that connects it to the rest of the plane

Yeah, just like on my DX YF-25 and DX YF-29, which I had no problem with. I think, as you say, I got a bad copy. Twich

I am referring to the actual plastic connector that attaches the nose one to the rest of the plane, when I attempted to transform for the first time a week after getting it, the nose one just came off in my hand with a good sized chunk of plastic that surrounded the little pin connecting it to the rest of the mecha. Makes it real disappointing, as I am afraid to transform to battroid now, even though I attempted repair with gorilla glue. So my super VF-27y stays in fighter mode...... Twich

My attachment for the nose cone came with crumbling plastic too, so I wonder if QC issue? Do the green ones have this issue? Thanks Twich

Looking at the picture of the VF-31, it appears to have fold quartz on the fuselage in fighter, on either side of the head turret. Didn't someone say that there was no more fold Quartz? Maybe I'm wrong, but why is it on the Valkyrie? Twich

I wonder if on the SV-262 we still see the legs each holding an engine but the legs/nacelles combine into one? I just can't see a modern valk with anything less than 2 engines. If it is a single engine, it cannot be that much more powerful than the FF-3001/FC1/telefunkingU47inleather or whatever other designation you care to add!?! twich -

Has anyone had the problem with the thick "wing glove" (the part the the die cast wing mechanism resides in) coming apart at the seam? My kittens thought it would be fun to knock my VF-19 Advance off the stand, which was on my bedside table, which fell off the backside of table and drop to floor in an explosion of parts. I got her back together, but noticed the left wing die cast folding had "popped out" I worked it back in....is there an easy fix, or will I have to glue it on the seam? I cannot take a pic right now to show. Thank You Twich

I am keeping my preorder, as I have always wanted a VF-2SS and VF-2JA since I first saw Macross 2. I wonder if the person doing the photos didn't know how to transform correctly, but the lack of dynamic poses suggests that maybe they didn't. Does this toy or the design in general allow for the gun pod to be stored underneath in fighter mode, if so, I cannot see it. Hope the final form is great, as I really want to see the SAP pack and a VF-2JA. Twich

Okay, I have a Yamato: SV-51Alpha, YF-19 Bird of Prey. Bandai: VF-25F Alto DX. None of these have boxes, the VF-22S does not have gun pods or stand attachment pieces, just the toy, the others have appropriate accessories. Some have been panel lined by me. Issues: SV-51Alpha- half panel lined with Gundam marker, RT canard bent from trip to floor, main gear wheels glued to post(they kept falling off) VF-22S Sturmvogel II- SOLD So, what would be a reasonable price to ask for whole kit and kaboodle? Please let me know what you think. Would like to get rid of all together. Twich

Sorry, may not have implied clearly. Bandai does not have license for Macross Zero, for the SV-51 I was referring to, since Arcadia is actively producing toys from Macross Zero. I know that they were fan-made but some of the it was are very cool. One can hope and wish, I guess. Twich

I would like to see a YF-21 or VF-22S Sturmvogel II. I know they wouldnt cause Arcadia has the license, but an SV-51 with tight joints and lots of Tampo! Also maybe some of the fast pack choices for VF-22S that we see in the Master variable fighter books Twich

I just received mine. I transformed it once to make sure that it didnt disintegrate like the nosecone on my Renewal VF-27y Fast Pack did. I like the way that they simplified the shoulders on these renewal YF/VF-25's! I have a version 1 VF-25F, and the thing is cracking all over the place, but hasnt fallen apart yet, the new age of the chunky monkey! Anyways, I am very pleased with my YF-25 Prophecy and it looks very nice next to my VF-27y. just a question, I replaced the rubbery/bendy antenna's with the hard plastic antenna's that came in the stand box. Does anyone else have a problem getting them to sit flush on the back of the valk in jet mode? Any suggestions? Thanks! Twich

I would wish for the ability to have and operate a VF-27y with a suitable landing field and facilities to support a real valkyrie. Also, I would want it painted in the YF-27-5 Shatar femail scheme with optical camp. I also would like the redesign of the gunpod that made it much shorter, but with the same power. I hate the length of the gunpod so much that I took the two little lengths off of my toy and now the toy sports a "shorty" gun pod. Twich

to add my opinion into the mix, I have a very poor outlook on NY right now, but they were the only company I could get my YF-25 preorder through. I ordered a VF-27 Renewal and the jet stayed in fighter for 2 weeks before I tried to transform, well the first time I tried it, the nosecone came off because the plastic had crumbled/cracked at the joint. I contacted NY about this, and they said that since it was out of the 7 day window of receiving the toy, Bandai would not allow them to do anything, basically blaming Bandai for them not wanting to do anything. It left a real bad taste in my mouth, but I had already pre-ordered the YF-25 and I would really like the jet, so I hope that they dont screw me. But, I have yet to receive shipping notice and some on this board already have this valk in their hands, so my prospects are looking grim. twich
