  1. Just got the game on Saturday, have not had a chance to play, but got the MGO set up, my name is thetwich I am really excited to get involved in this! Twich
  2. just got Animated Grimlock as a sorta late Fathers Day gift from my son....the thing is really awesome and brought back the feelings for the G1 Grimlock I had way back in the day.....my only complaint is there is no place to store the sword when it is in Dino mode....and it says something about Flame Breath using the sword, but I cant figure out if that means it is supposed to attach to him in Dino Mode or not....not very explicit directions, but awesome figure and poseability. Twich
  3. Hey, if you live in Spokane, and dont mind a little road trip, the Walmart in Colville, Wa which is north on 395 has a bunch of deluxe Animated TF's and Voyager class Megatron and bulkhead. If I were rich, I would have nabbed all the deluxes they had. Twich
  4. I am eagerly awaiting seeing the Jetfire/SR-71 thing, as jetfire was always my favorite transformer and I just LOVE the SR-71!, I got to experience a take-off once when I lived in Palmdale, CA and it was taking off from Lockheed Skunk Works....man, it damn near shook the car off the road! I hope that if true, they make Jetfire a leader class toy, that is the only thing that is going to do it justice! Twich
  5. Honestly, I would recommend the PS3 just for the Blu-Ray player aspect of it, but as far as games are concerned, I have the 60GB model and I gave my son my XBox 360 because I am just not interested in anything that is available for it currently, and I have focused solely on my PS3 for games and for the Blu-Ray, and it is an ever evolving system that is constantly seeing firmware updates and improvesments. I recommend it whole-heartedly to anyone.
  6. So, does anyone want to speculate as to what the next Firmware update will include? I try to surf the Playstation website for clues, but reading some of the posts there make my brain want to explode. I would like to see more formats supported and a revised web browser. Also, are there any plans for Sony to release an official bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo for the PLaystation3? Would the Apple computer bluetooth keyboard/mighty mouse setup work? Twich
  7. Or get apple or Mozilla to write a version of either Safari for Apple or Firefox for Mozilla. I would prefer the Safari, because that is all that I will use as my browser now that I downloaded it for Windows. Twich
  8. Wow, here I was thinking that I was the only Macross Fan in Eastern Washington....Now, not only is there another Macross fan but a Transformers fan too! Awesome! I have the MP Starscream original that I traded for a 1/60 VF-0S from Yamato, but the stupid horizontal tail fin is kinda warped and a little busted and I want to get one that isn't that way and doesn't keep falling off and doesn't have a stress mark on it. Well, the Walmart.com has Skywarp for 119.99 that seems pretty sweet, or I can just go to BBTS and try to pick up a starscream tv colors for 95. Twich
  9. I would like to see them improve the web browser that comes with the PS3. Granted, I need to get a keyboard and mouse to fully utilize a web browser, but I would like to see it improved somewhat before I would invest in such a device. The home page for the web broswer, does anyone else think it is a bit strange and looks a little "less" than polished? I like how it isnt the playstation store wannabe any longer, but I think that they could have put something a little more polished together for the homepage.....maybe it is just me. Twich
  10. Looks like Firmware 2.35 just came out. It doesnt seem to be that major of an update, but it is out and I didnt see what it contained when it restarted my system when it downloaded. Twich
  11. I am really enjoying the new Transformers Animated, and I am looking forward to the toy line coming out next month. I took my son to Walmart early in the morning when the movie toys were released and we managed to net some pretty nice toys, even though we live in North East Washington near the Canadian border. I just wished that our Walmart here and in Spokane carried the Masterpiece Starscream...but I never saw it. I cannot wait until the new movie comes out, I took my son to see it on my honeymoon last July in Seattle, and it was simply amazing! Transformers are the toys for me right now, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more! Twich
  12. just saw the Lil'Formers cartoon, and I just about fell off of my seat laughing.....that guy is just a genius! Twich
  13. Okay, can we get a list of the mecha that are appearing, or are rumored to appear? I heard something about a VF-27? What is that? I hear mention of all these scans of pictures, but I am not finding them....maybe I am scanning through the pages too quickly. But if someone can clear this up for me, that would be great! Twich
  14. Those images of Mikhail and Luca's VF-25's are awesome! I wonder where the undercarriage fin folds to when it converts to gerwalk/battroid modes? I like how the elint seeker VF-25 still carries a weapon and doesnt need fast packs to have the radome and sensors. Luca's VF-25 looks a little freaky with that stark blank white face.
  15. Yes, I had the same problem with my audio having to switch it to bitstream to get the Dolby surround and I had to put in an optical cable to carry the sound. I have a Sony Receiver that I bought that had 2 HDMI ins and 1 out, yet I had to find out from calling into tech support when I bought the PS3 that my receiver just had a passthrough capability....I mean, why have the HDMI connections if it is not going to take the sound out of the HDMI cables and send the picture through the HDMI out to the HDTV? I could not believe it and it kinda ticked me off to no end when I found this out. Why do they do this? seems like it is shooting themselves in the foot if you ask me
  16. okay, here is another question. Does Sony have plans of upgrading their integrated web browser? Like when I try to pull up Macrossworld on it, it keeps reloading the page over and over again, and something I can click on a topic to make it stop, and sometimes I cant. So, I guess if they allowed for download of another web browser, that would make me happy, since that is all that I really want to do anyway. So, what suggestions can you make, or do you know of something in the pipeline that is coming from Sony? Thanks Twich
  17. Okay....I sort of follow what you have written, please forgive my ignorance, but I thought that Yellow Dog Linux was the version written exclusively for PS3, is this not true? How about Ubuntu? Is this something that would work okay on PS3? I would like to run something that enables me to have a better web browser on my PS3 like Firefox, so that I dont have to rely on my computer to access the internet or web pages. What do you all suggest? Yes, I know I am pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff. Thanks Twich
  18. I have absolutely no interest in Racing Games, but I could see how the whole deal with GT5 is going to sour a lot of people who love the series and want to buy the game when it comes out. So, is this the definiative HD version that was supposed to come out around the same time as the PS3?
  19. I have given the use of my XBox 360 to my 7 year old so that he can play it.....I am focused solely on the PS3. I just love the thing. I dont know if I am going to go with Dualshock 3 yet or not, but I cant wait until MGS4 comes out. I have a question about installing Linux Yellow Dog on the PS3....what benefit does this do for you, can you utilize it like a desktop computer, granted that you pick up the USB/Bluetooth keyboard/mouse thing? I think it would be nice to have a computer set up like that, but how much space does it use on the HDD? I have a 60 GB unit. Does it allow you to display things in HD resolution using Linux? I am soo unknowledgeable about this sort of things, so please bear with me. Twich ps-here is a questions..... Does anyone think it is possible to put Mac OS X 10.5 on the PS3? Now that would be awesome! But probably not possible.
  20. WOW, a B-2 crashing....that is a billion dollar mistake.....what happened? Twich
  21. I really like Smallville, currently I am in the middle of Season 5 DVD box set, Wal-Mart has all 6 season for $20 a pop for anyone wanting the DVD's. I have not really seen season 7 yet, but I really like the show and where they have gone. Twich
  22. well, you have to remember the numbers that we are talking about....the compendium states that the VF-19S has 2 Shinsei Industry/P&W/Roice FF-2550J engines that produce 78950kg of thrust a piece. Now think on that...173690 pounds of thrust per engine....roughly 86.5 tons of thrust....I think that a matter of 20-30 tons on a 10 ton VF-25 is not going to make a heap of worry for that much thrust....and that is for the VF-19S, no telling how much more power the engines for the VF-25 produce.
  23. Cool, Thanks for the advice guys.....I think a Mini Mac is a good way to go, plus I can hook it up to my 32" HDTV that has a VGA in, as long as I use the extra adapter that came with my video card that changes DVI-VGA, and if eventually I get a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth trackball, I can use those with the Mini Mac and my PS3, which I have been wanting to set up for my PS3 for a while now. Guess I can start saving up for one of those Macbooks or iMac's to replace my present desktop setup eventually. Twich
  24. Okay, I have a kinda quick question. Please dont laugh at me, but I am very interested in trying out the Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, but I dont want to dump $1000+ for a laptop/desktop right now since I have a baby on the way....is there a way that I can get the OS X 10.5 Leopard for my present computer Install and use it? I have a custom built Windows Based machine Asus Av8 Deluxe motherboard (AGP 8X) AMD Athlon 64 3000+(1.8 Ghz) GeForce 7800 GS Overclocked by BFG with 256 MB DDR3 ram 2 GB PC3200 Ram 120 GB HDD Windows XP Home with SP2 Now, is this even possible? I am totally in the dark on computers, and I would like to just run Mac OS X 10.5 without having to go out and buy one for a couple thousand dollars. Thanks!
  25. Sorry Duke, I didnt read the last 6 words of your sentence
