  1. I think that I might wait and see what Sony brings to the table before I jump into the Next Gen consoles...besides, I have a PSP that I see is getting more and more interesting games coming out all the time.....Also, I want to see what Nintendo does with its system. Twich
  2. I went to go see this movie with a friend of mine that had never seen the series and we both loved the movie...I had to explain who the characters were and why they were together, but this thing was a great Sci-Fi movie....I liked it also because it was gritty, things were not always in order and it didnt make space seem like a shiny-happy place....while I love Star Wars and Star Trek, they are too clean sometimes for their own good. I like how Kaylee looks without that extra 20lbs that she had to have for the series, I was sorry to see Book and Wash go.....but it was nice to see that everyone got hurt in one way or another from that final battle with the reavers. I will go and see it again to get all the dialogue and to take it all in... Twich
  3. The VF-0S looks awesome...gosh I cant wait until this toy comes out! Twich
  4. I would hope that they would keep the SV-51 in scale with the VF-0S, should they decide to make a SV-51.....which I would hope that they would, I am sure that the thing would be tight and many people would go bonkers over it.....but that would come at a (probably) steep price, which I would be willing to pay in a heart beat for a chance to own a VF-0S and a SV-51 in scale with one another in perfect transformation!!! Twich
  5. I wonder how much trouble he got in for pulling that little stunt? He looks damn close to the deck and it looks like his wingtip would scrape the deck if he was too close to the carrier...damn impressive picture and maneuver! Twich
  6. Sweet! Too bad this isnt "that" kinda cable show...I wouldnt mind seeing some nude jello wrestling starring those two...hubba hubba! LOL Twich
  7. You are correct sir, I agree whole-heartedly! Now adding Claudia Black to that show would be pure genius! Twich
  8. Wow, judging by that picture, this toy(s) is going to be freakin huge! Twich
  9. cobywan, huh? What is this in reference to? Twich
  10. Ummm, I wasnt telling anyone to get anything, I was using this thread, which I believed was a discussion about video cards to tell of my concern about all the next gen cards being PCI-Express, and I have a Geforce 6800 GT OC with 256MB ram and it doesnt run BF2 at high settings, which sucks, as I am in a Battlefield 2 gaming clan and would like the best performance, so in order to get that I was saying that I would have to buy a new motherboard before I could get the new video card. I was basically bitching because I think that sucks! Not telling anyone to get anything. Twich
  11. what really irks me about the new slew of video cards is that they are all PCi-Express....like the new NVidia cards only come in PCI-Express, which would mean that I would have to get a whole new motherboard, just to get a new videocard upgrade from my 6800GT Twich
  12. It is too bad that no one has really taken images of the art done in the Tenjin Hidetaka art book and scanned them into wallpapers of 1024 x 768 size of bigger, especially the Macross Zero artwork that is in there....and before you ask, I have the book, but no way to scan them into my computer Twich
  13. Thanks for the scan, that thing really is lovely. I see that in the resin sculpt it doesnt look like the toy will have movable flaps or anything like that.....I like the fact that there is nothing that can fall off, maybe Yamato learned from their first couple of versions of the 1/48 with the flaps coming off and the nose cone falling off. I think it just makes for a more solid toy to not have all those bells and whistles...K.I.S.S. Twich
  14. Well, I guess that is just one more argument that I should not believe everything that I read....I rather enjoyed the book, so the in and out of why and how long it took to write really didnt concern me, but when I read the information that was I guess false, it sort of struck me, so I remembered it. Twich
  15. Let me state first that I really love the book, and in fact, I love most of Heinlein's work.... Have you heard that he wrote that book in like a weekend to protest some Nuclear test that the Us was conducting at the time? I thought that was weird when I heard it, but I remember it being a credible(?) source. I find some of his eccentrancies to be extreme, to say the least. Twich
  16. that one picture looks like they took a Smith .357 and added a bunch of junk around it to hide the cylinder. I like the new pistols, and I am sure they are easier to use for the show due to the 20 round clips...as opposed to the 6-8 shots of a revolver.(conjecture) Twich
  17. Just a little side rant...but why are places like EB and Gamestop going with these uber-expensive bundle deals, while not even offering a basic system to order online by itself? They did it with the PSP and now with the XBOX360, PS3..... Whatever happened to just buying the basic? Why do I need all this other junk to go with my gaming machine? Twich
  18. I ma really getting excited about this toy....and I am excited that if it sells really well, we will see all the UN Spacy Versions, plus maybe we will see some Anti-UN stuff like the SV-51......there is so much potential here! I am curious to see how the rotating cockpit comes about, but if that is the only gimmicky thing that we see, I will be happy....I didnt like the detachable nosecone of the VF-1 1/48.......So far, I am extremely happy with what I see and will be buying this toy for certain. Twich
  19. Wow, Thanks for the pictures Graham! I am definately looking forward to this toy and more photographs of the design as the time for it to arrive draws near. Twich
  20. Awesome pics....did it give a release date for this bad boy? I am eagerly awaiting this item! Twich
  21. Just a little bit of trivia for you, the FN Sive-Seven that they are using have 20 round clips in them....while I didnt do an exact count of the amount of rounds fired, I do remember seeing them change mags a couple of times...and who knows, maybe the cylons that are a part of a boarding party have heavier armor then the regular patrol units....Also, to be a total nerd here...the FN was designed to fire 5.7mm Armor piercing ammo that was designed to penetrate type III body armor.....but that is just getting too technical. Twich
  22. Cool, Thanks JsArclight.....I know that you are the authority on AR-15 rifles, as I have spoken to you before about them. I went to Top Glock and I ordered a third 13rd Magazine along with a double mag pouch and a Kydex holster for it. Vermont has a concealed carry law, as well as people dont usually bat an eye if you walk around packing a side arm(especially around hunting season). I have to say that I really like Glock weapons....I just wish that they would sell the factory hoslters and mag pouches online(I havent been able to find them) and the fact that the weapons comes with cleaning rod and brush, case and lock...along with the 2 cases from the factory where they test fired it. I have had a Ruger(P89 I think) 9mm, a AMT Backup in .45 ACP, a Sig Sauer P226 9mm and older model Glock 21 and a Glock 26(9mm) "Baby Glock" and a Desert Eagle .44 Magnum. The weapon that I have derived the most pleasure owning and shooting has been the Glock. For handguns, I will go with nothing else....I have fired the HK USP .45, and while it was a nice weapon, it is a little too pricey for me. I have also fired a "Shorty .40" which I think was manufactured by Smith and Wesson, a Baretta .40(forget if it is the 92S or what) Point I am trying to make is, I have used and owned quite an assortment of handguns in my time, and the Glock is by far the best, in my humble opinion. While I would love to own a HK Socom 23 pistol, I think the $2000+ dollar price tag makes it a collectors item or a real enthusiasts weapon...not something for someone like me. Twich
  23. Just picked up a new Glock 21 after not having one for a couple of years.....I like what they have done to improve the little things that come with a Glock pistol....the case is much better and bigger, the weapon now comes with High Capacity mags(13 round) and the lock that comes with it is a flexible cord as opposed to the looped cord that was attached to a pad lock basically of my old Glock 21. I was considering going with the Glock 37, but I liked the size of the Glock 21 over the Glock 37, and the local gun shop doesnt really carry any ammo in .45 GAP, while they have tons of .45 ACP... The only thing that I like about the Glock 37 over the Glock 21 is the Slide release....it is much easier to do, but I am finding that the Glock 21 is getting easier and easier to use with more time. On a side note, I am amazed at how easily the 13 round fit into the brand new mags, while I remember having a real difficult time getting 10 into the mags of my previous Glock 21. I am still considering getting a Rock River AR-15 rifle with quad rail fore-grip and 6 position telescoping butt-stock that the local gun shop has for around $990....but I might wait a while to save up the cash. 24. Wow, I am really psyched by this....I hope to see it and I know it will be awesome...cant wait for proto pics and the actual product! Twich
  25. One thing that kinda stumped my noodle was the whole Harry vs Snape at the end of the book.....he wasnt even able to get out his curses before it seemed that Snape was blocking them.....we know that he is able and has done the Crucio curse, he did it to Bellatrix in the last book after she killed Sirius....it was kinda funny because Snape was sort of mocking Harry with "Mr. Potter, one of the unforgivable curses...tsk, tsk" It just seemed odd to me that he wasnt able to do anything to Snape after he had been able to in previous books(Prisoner of Azkaban)...unless of course it was for plot reasons, in which case, I would have to assume(big assumption) that Snape really did what he did so that Draco would not be evil and to convince once and for all to the bad guys that he is "a part" of them, while really working for the good guys. I guess we shall see in a few years what really is going to happen. As far as this series supposing to be "for Kids" I think it was stated when it first came out that the books would mature as the story progressed.....since Harry is 16, almost 17 it is assumed that those would be the age level reading it......the books are supposed to grow with its intended audience as well as the characters. To tell you the truth, I think these books are pretty tame in comparison to some Science Fiction/Fantasy that is out today(George R.R. Martin Fire and Ice series comes to mind) Twich
