I hate the design for Lex, his crotch piece looks more like a front butt with a thong
-
I’m sure they’ll allow Boy Blunder

Looks pretty cool, very organic

I think I came from a time when Xenomorph was a more rarely used term. It was usually Big Chap or soldier alien or dog alien or alien queen. Not saying the term was used here and there, just more sparingly.

Love that Hesher Z’Gok. I remember back when I we were in middle and high school buying similar spikes and putting em on jackets and boots. The sporting goods store had a bunch of em and I think we also “borrowed” some from the school teams

I’ll wait and see how the reviews on this one are and if they’re good, I’ll probably get these colors

I get the feeling that he was a much lower employee, something more like a janitor. He had a conversation with his family on the screen about becoming an apprentice, and I kinda get the feeling that the actual engineer felt bad for him and took him under his wing as more of a favor cause he felt sorry for him

The little dude wandering away is an awesome touch

Well, they barely put up the tv Queadluun Rau, so probably another six months and they’ll do an alternate color of that, so I’d say maybe next year till we might get one of the Nousjadeul Ger kits and it may be the tv version first so you got a bit time still unless Hasegawa pulls out a surprise

I’m totally sick of hearing her. I think she got overdone in Stranger Things sorta like Jack in the Box trying to give ranch with every purchase

Nice purchase, I have been thinking about getting that one as well

I get the feeling that that’s basically a generic term for an alien creature, not so much just the big chap or their kind. and the numbering is more about the known type. But then again they could’ve run into these things during capture. I think they mentioned some casualties during that process.

Personally, I’ve always loved the tv version more and couldn’t wait for this one. I only bought the M&M versions and skipped the standard purple, mostly cause I don’t really like purple, so this will be my third. Although I’ve been tempted on the purple one because I love that box art and would love to turn it into a sorta wall poster

Not black is tough. Gotta go dark, but not too dark and then shading is rough cause it can just disappear and then lighter highlights can look too light and then certain weathering products turn darker with top coat. Good luck and I’m sure you’ll get a great looking kit done as long as you take care and definitely take a little time to test things out.

I wish I had the space, but unfortunately, it’s the 1/144 version for me

Love the little collection

I like the small kits as well. One of my favorites and sadly discontinued line of Macross kits were the tomytec vf-1 models. I really wish that line would get a revive cause they were great for the size and came with cool decal options if you didn’t want them as is. I would’ve loved for them to have done destroids and zentraedi mecha to go with them

Looks really great so far and love the little dudes He’s definitely come a long way, but I do gotta say that people new to the hobby these days have far more resources than people starting out before the age of the internet. There’s also been a lot of innovation in tools and tricks that weren’t around a decade or so ago. I think community has a lot to do with newer builders compared to the lack of community back in the day. There’s also a certain amount of natural talent that some people have for learning a hobby or music or art. Some people just catch on to these things much faster than others

I was trying to be nice, but smeared works better.

Yeah, not sure how all this is gonna play out.

Why would it be white? It usually looks more gray in the show. I really didn’t get a great look at them in the movie version though. i was thinking more like a few junkers got parts together from things in the Macross 2 universe and kinda slapped things together

I really love the movie version and would also get at least one tv version. The only thing other than larger ships would be the gnerl fighter and I’d definitely get at least one of them

I built one of the Bandai rereleases of that kit the first round a while back and still have fond memories of it. There appears to be more surface details on the old kit since it’s based more on the detailed art rather than the tv line art and show appearance. Although I kinda wish it had that extra surface detailyou can see the tv one is much smoother like the new kit, but most of the extra detail would just take a bit of thin plastic sheet. The added venting stuff would be a bit more difficult though
