Halfway through my 1/72 one but still need the black nose piece or a pic of it to recreate it. Liking it though. Displaying it with the 1/72 Ghost from the VF-0C and the 1/72 Ghost from the Bandai RVF-25 set.
Hopefully a sculpting genius comes up with an optional front end to make a 2 seater trainer and also some FAST packs. Then I'd buy a couple.
With luck the Master File will have some good variations in it.
They dont have the VFA-312 Black Lions sets anymore.
Jasmine did the best set but as we know they dont make second runs of anything (think the awesome VF1 photoetch sets), Twobobs made the second best set and they also dont have those ones anymore and finally Fightertown made a set but they have stopped all their 1/72 sets and only focus on 1/48 now.
Brilliant! Just bought 2 sets! Need two to be able to piece together the chin stripe with the yellow stars to allow the US emblem to be cut out and tossed.
Thanks!
I have a VF-4 I'm stuck on as you cant get the 1/72 Black Lions scheme decals any more so its about to become the VFA-41 2015 scheme instead.
I wanted to make it like this image and started with the base colours but the decals are unobtainium!
What I wanted but you cant get it anymore, nice decals too!
So while I keep searching for those decals... this arrived today
So I'm stealing the decals from it for the VF-4
... this turned up today too...
Do you have an Hasegawa parts? I have a couple of unbuilt brand new Bandai's I'm intending to use for scratch build parts and wreckage scenes so could trade.
Missiles, pilots, VF-1D canopy, Beam Cannon bits, anything really.

Useful resource for anyone wanting alternative paint schemes for their VF-1s and VF-4s (2005-2015)
My Rear Seaters are posed with both hands forward on the carrier deck scene ready for Cat launch holding two handles on the sides of the console.
As a side note... how hard is it to sculpt/design 1/72 figures running? I need figures streaming out of apartments and running away down a street while some Valks and a Regult duke it out and I cant find a single one anywhere on the net, not through architect sites or model rail!
