  1. Helloooooo MP SS Really like the weathered look... but the white stripes on the shoulders are to chipped to be an out of the box SS.
  2. I agree also. For the price Yamato is asking they should include AT LEAST a pair of fixed hands. The SOC Gunbuster, which is 800 YEN cheaper and about 12†high, is chuck full of extras to represent all the gimmicks the robot had in the OVAs, a lot of fixed posed hands and a big base to store and display everything that looks like a launch pad. Even considering that the YF-19 transformation is more complex and that Bandai is a lot bigger, Yamato should give us something more for that price or one insanely articulated, tampo printed, resistant and sturdy toy completely free of QC issues.
  3. Holly crap, that display base is full of stuff!
  4. I liked the movie as a kid, but for me Mel Brooks stuff is mostly boring with some good moments here and there.
  5. Sadly true, but I'm getting tired of waiting . Time, run faster For now Hasbro has no plans to release it in the US.
  6. Just a few more days of waiting for mine to arrive
  7. ... the YF-19... but the SOC Gunbuster looks kick ass, and with all those gimmicks (and a great stand) and the same price as the YF-19, the SOC sure is more bang for the buck... damn it I can't decide which one to get.
  8. So we can spect to see more features in the YF-19? Really like those shoulders. This thing keeps looking better and better.
  9. I played the game for almost a year (on the few nights in witch my girlfriend wasn’t hogging my computer playing the damned game). I had a lvl 30 something troll rogue. It was a fun game but it still demands a lot of time and since I couldn’t convince any of my cheapskate friends to play I felt I wasn’t playing to it’s full potential (playing with your close buddies instead of just faceless nicknames must be really fun). All the people I met in WoW played a lot more than I did so I couldn't keep up. I haven’t erased the game because my girlfriend plans on getting addicted again someday (says it’s a great way to fight work stress and learn English…).
  10. Never said he needed more weapons, just said that entire arsenal you list +super strength +flight +all the sensors +keeping the guy inside in control of all and alive would look more believable on screen if there was actually space for it in the armour. Yes, in a comic or a cartoon you can fit all that on a credit and get away with it (one of my favourites is the Modular Armour of the early 90's, which was one of the most skin tight Iron Man designs ever made), but on screen you now need something that is a step above the movie Green Goblin. Found a less Gundam version (with a monkey face ): This IM series could turn out nice though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dHsv9Ncp_I
  11. Ooooh nice, thanks wolfx! I'm really having a hard time deciding between this and the YF-19... damned limited space for displaying How big is the Gunbuster supposed to be?
  12. The first two look very difficult to move in. The third one looks ok but looks more like Rubber Man than Iron Man. I liked the way Iron Man looked in the first issues of the Ultimates. He looked very anime robot but at least all the extra bulk made it more believable. The helmet had a lot of room inside. Skin tight armour doesn’t strike me as having a lot of room for all the features one of the most powerful weapons on Earth needs. Just the leg thrusters alone would need a lot of room just to work and protect the feet at the same time. In the Ultimates version there was even a whole group of technicians in charge of helping Tony put the suit on and off. But whatever. This project after years and years still hasn’t taken off.
  13. Are there any new pics of the SOC Gunbuster?
  14. I also stoped watching after that episode. It was a fun series to watch untill they stoped following the manga.
  15. Ouch! About 60 dolars more for the same package
  16. And here I thought I was finally going to enter the all-in-one gizmo era. Well, good old “stack’em up multiple gizmos†it is . Thanks for the answers.
  17. Haven’t gotten a new console since the Dreamcast but the Wii is the next gen console that’s tempting me. Party games when you have people over with that controller could be really fun. I read that it can play DVD’s. Any news if it can play burned DVD’s and Divx and AVI videos? I’m thinking on getting a new DVD player with this features and if the Wii does them more points in its favour. Including the controller for the virtual games would have been icing on the cake. Either way, being able to play old games in the living room without having to sit in front of the PC for emulating sounds great. Wonder how many buttons does the controller have. Could the Wii in the future play Saturn, Sega CD and 32x games also? I mean, it’s just an issue of getting the license, right?
  18. So there is a whole generation of cross-dressing adults out there thanks to Bugs Bunny, right? Wait… they’ve been showing that poison for years!!… AAAHHHH!! Can’t resist urge to wear a dress and kiss bald men with speech impediments!!
  19. Anybody know of a website that analyses scientifically incorrect aspects in movies? The best thing I’ve found is this: http://www.badastronomy.com/, but it centres on astronomy.

    stop motion

Nice. The project has evolved in a very good way since I last saw a video of it.
  21. Personally I find a lot more interesting this designs than the toy and G1 inspired designs that are already popping up in amateur CG animations. If I go see a TF movie I want to see more thought out designs that are only possible thanks to today’s special effects, not something someone with good 3D modelling skills can do on his own at home. Give it time and you will see more G1 inspired CGI short films. They are a great way to show off computer animation and modelling skills.
  22. Think of it this way, they may take away your Pluto but they can never take away Uranus. ……………. * silence* ……… Well anyways, I prefer to loose Pluto than have a “Ceres†between Mars and Jupiter and a ton of other stuff.
