Any tips and tricks you could give me I've done a little bit for Gunpla but thats mainly just panel line and grey drybrushing. Was thinking of using pencil for panel lines or dark brown as the color as straight black will pop out like crazy (I've made my mistakes on Gunpla). Also when you apply the matte coat would it hinder the transformation much (assuming that you even moved if after all that work)? Also finally decided that I'm going to get the Isamu as my first DX Valk. The premium that I have to pay for the 30th color scheme is just too much. Do want the Ozma but its going to cost me as much as the 30th. Shall wait for an reissue if it'll ever happen. Soooooo, any words of caution whilst transforming these precious toys to avoid damaging it?

With shipping would be $120-130. Now I'm regretting it too. But then again my priority is to hunt down a YF-29 30th.

The VF-25A was on CDJapan for $100 the other day but I decided to skip it because I'm not a huge fan of the head sculpt. Now that I think about it I probably should have bought it because I would've left it in fighter/ GERWALK mode anyway. Dammit... EDIT: I was also thinking about getting the VF-25 Alto renewal someday but its $230 (probably a tad bit lower with the conversion rate) where I'm from. I could get the Isamu YF-29 for the same price so I'm probably going to do that.

Extra one? I thought it was either the mouth piece on or off. I will buy one eventually as I'm aiming for a DX YF-29 right now and I just ordered a RAH neo Eva unit 1. Contemplating cancelling the Eva but that 18 inch monster of a figure is too hard to resist too EDIT: okay so it was a different piece. I think I know why the head bothers me now. Its the nose. The whole head is too humanoid so thats why I lean towards the VF-19S (also that the VF-19S has more color on it, well to be exact just the leg part that makes it look more balanced than the empty Kai)

The VF-19S is really really tempting me now. It's growing on me fast I just wish the Kai's mouth piece wasn't white and sticks out so much

Daheck, HKcollectibles had a VF25 Ozma Renewal for $180... Urggggggggggggh Back on topic. Any reason why the VF-19s are so cheap now? Really tempted to get one but I kind of want to get Bandais DX series more. Well, mainly because I prefer the modern Valks alot more than the old stubby ones. The VF-19's battroid mode is growing on me alot more now though (GERWALK is just derpy for me :X)

I wish to join the ranks of organized glass shelf displays one day. Question: What alternative stands are there for the Valks that people use. I only know of flighpose. *note: mainly asking for 1/60 scale stuff like Bandais DX*

My only main gripe with Bandai is the ridiculously low stock they have on DIecast products in comparison to the demand. Mainly the Metal Build Series for Gundam (so damn lucky I got a Metal Build Freedom for $125 with no QC issues) and DX Chogokin Macross.

Hmm, would you guys say its better to wait for the YF-29 Ozma reissue or fork out the difference in the after market. I'm currently in Thailand for summer break so I guess the shipping is a tad bit lower. With the conversion rate it pretty much costs as much as buying from a local store (thats if they have it in stock). I really want the 30th Anniversary version but that will cost me roughly $310 (don't think Bandai will do 2nd run reissues). Thinking bought waiting for the reissue for Ozma just to get a Valk for pre-order price (and hopefully getting a YF-30 if it ever opens up). One thing I just thought about is the idea of playing after market prices so I don't have to spend so much time hunting down the Valks in stores all the time. My time spent looking at these could have been alot more productive

Isn't GERWALK the main gimmick that makes a Macross what it is? Personally I like GERWALK -> Battroid -> Fighter.

Can someone give me a brief rundown on the whole "Triangle" problem with pictures? Do want to get one of the cannon fodder someday with the super parts so yeah 72 pages is a little bit too much for me to navigate through.

Was thinking of getting 2 Valks but that idea went down the drain. Only going to be able to get one now as I just placed an order on a RAH NEO Eva Unit 1. That ridiculously big figure is too hard to resist. Unless I manage to sell off one of my guitar or something I'll be able to fork out something for another Valk. As for the Pre-order strategy all I have to say is that I came in the game late :X Was more into Gundams and Mazinger/ Getter (Super robot) stuff. Just found out about the DX Chogokin Macross line early this month and become obsessed with getting one.

Hmm, can anyone enlighten me on how to preview shipping cost (EMS) for Mandrake. Wanna to check out the total price for the Ozma.

After seeing all this I now want the Ozma version again. Still really want the 30th anniversary version though :X EDIT: Considering that the Alto and Roy version got reissues when do you guys think Bandai is going to start it for the Ozma?
