  1. $53.55 for a green joon's shipped?!?!? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBDW%3AIT&rd=1 "Please read description carefully, I am not responsible for YOUR misunderstandings!" . Yeah... I bid just cause it's the last joon's I need but my max was $26 before shipping. I simply refuse to pay more for a joons than a re-issue! I won "phallus in wonderland"... Did anybody need a copy?
  2. A variety of options... First off start training your kids early not to mess with your stuff... Pavlov trained dogs to drool when a bell was rung... Just hit the kid with an electric cattle prod everytime you see them looking at your toys. ELectric fence? "fido zap"? The collar you put on your kid and everytime they cross the invisible line to enter your cave they get shocked. motion sensing sirens in your cave trained attack dogs/cats/birds/reptiles/etc in your cave. stories of the boogey man that lives in your "cave" make them watch "childs play" and say that your toys will "not be as friendly" Smack your child with a bandai everytime they mis-behave. This will not only keep them from misbehaving as it hurts, but will also make them adverse to touching anything even similar in shape/design. I like the idea of emotional trauma myself... Put the toy that has either been broken or dis-assemble a cheaper one and put it in the most accessable area of your cave, knowing that as soon as it is merely touched it will collapse in a heap of pieces. Gather the pieces in front of the child while sobbing quietly and then give the pieces to them as a birthday/x-mas gift. sell the kid on the black market and buy more toys. Distractions work for relatives/guests kids such as explosives, sharp pointies, chemicals, drugs, etc. They can't mess with your stuff while they are in the ER. Heck... with the right drugs they will play with shadows in the corner for days an be entertained... I know I did qualudes??? Keep something cooler than expensive toys handy to keep them occupied. My coworkers kids always ignore the cool toys just so they can swing swords around outside . Video games are also a good distraction.
  3. how soon till recasts are availible?
  4. Who's to say I don't already have all the HQ releases of Invader Zim on my computer As a side note, I love Idiot Dog Brain - showed that one to my GF the other night, and she almost pissed herself - not a good thing, since she was sitting on my lap. to late... just got back from the post office. Oh well... 4 discs of zim that you already have. MAybe the us government lsd experiment footage and the flintstones cigarette comercial will make the discs worth looking at. That and the first season of aeon flux. "tak the hidious new girl" was another great episode. Then again so was "hobart 13" and "future dib" sorry... no golden shower stuff on the discs
  5. As I realize I'm holding the box to go to fulcy... Awww... now I'm going to have to re-tape it
  6. good taste and good call I actually have every zim episode ever stored convieniently on my pc. My pc even ports out to my tv so I can enjoy zim on three screens at once. Unfortunately my dumb ass sold the sound card out of my computer and zim just isn't the same without sound . And I just realized that the whole time I was trying to give fulcy videogames I could have just given him my zim collection [slaps head for not thinking]. Aside from the south park dvd's I got from chowser and "little nemo" my mom gave me for christmas, this will be my first real dvd purchase While were talkin 'bout zim... Whats everybodys favorite episode? For me it's sooooo hard to choose.... maybe "battle of the planets" but "girr goes crazy and stuff" was sooo good. Then again so was "lice" and "bloatys pizza hog". Wait... just remembered my favorite simply has to be "the wettening"
  7. if the seller took paypal rather than onlyu cash I would bid on this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3380904358 ... then again I am an idiot here is another item I thought was funny as heck. I'm currently high bidder but I don't think anybody here would outbid me [especially as I'd make a copy for anyone who asked] but I'll probably get outbid as my max is only $5.70 as I refuse to pay more than $10 for a vhs. I just had to bid, though who wouldn't want a flick titled "Phallus In Wonderland' http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBBI%3AIT&rd=1 Now this is "kinda" absurd. I got outbid by near ten dollars and was offered a "second chance". I've gotten second chances before ... but when my max bid was $.47 I just have to wonder why they would sell to me. Shipping was 28x more than what the auction was, but not unreasonable compared to what I normally have to pay for shipping from china. Are parts/labor really that cheap there??? If so why don't we see bootleg 1/55 armor??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3171359134 Lord knows agent1 would have spent more for it The really sad thing is I'm going to display it on my wifes computer desk
  8. What's an RDF? Robotech Defense Force. Did I say that out loud? What's a Robotech? well... I'm a comercial pool tech and judging by what I do I'd say that robotech is a slack as hippie who bitches while working on robo's... and occasionally sets them on fire
  9. but I wanna watch the angry monkey channel

in responce to your pm question about painting before assembly or after... Different people do it different ways. Painting parts while on the spruce is easier in many ways as it's easier to prime front and back, easier to hold steady while you paint, and easier to reach parts/areas that are almost impossible to reach once the part is assembled. You wil still have to do a touch up after you assemble it to cover the spots where parts were attached to the spruce. A problem I have encountered is that models painted before assembly can be structurally weaker if you do it wrong. Glue sticks best plastic to plastic. If you glue paint to paint parts often come apart. You can get around this by sanding paint/primer off the areas that glue will be applied to. I always recommend doing a dry fit [not using glue] to see how the parts go together and make sure they fit properly, before you actually assemble it with glue.
  11. fine point mechanical pencil for your first time. Washing/inking after you have some experience
  12. much better than the inflate-a-mate version seriously... 1/60 stuff that would be cool, in order glaug destroid conversion kit regult conversion kit sdf -yeah right heck... why settle for the small stuff if we're dreaming? Why bother with a 1/60 sdf-1 when you could have a 1/60 unicron??? Just think of the looks on the faces of your neighbors when it's delivered? HEck... UnIcRoN is probably the smallest scale toy evermade if you think about it. They would have to make it not suck though, else I'd send it back
  13. Buy a yammie ve from kev at valk exchange. Once you get it swap it with your fallen angel and send it back to him saying "it was damaged in shipping" . Just don't tell kev I said that then again the parts could be used to make a hi-comical ve-1 hcm in the right hands
  14. uhm... I have no idea what you need unless you post a pic but... I did recentlt "rescue" a few unbuilt model planes from a dumpster I figured I could use as bitz at some point. I know I have a couple of propellers in the mix and I know I'll never use them so I'd be happy enough to let you have them if they might be of use.

added another pic to the how to custom thread tank. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...24&t=4586&st=0& another pic of wash
  16. here is another picture of a wash. The entire custom was primed and painted black. Minor detail was added, such as the blood/gore inside the cockpit. I then gave it a couple of washs of red, one in fighter mode and one in battroid mode. You can see the concept behind washing best on the wings and the chest plate. The pigment collects at the lowest point/recessed areas. As such think about how you want the pigment to collect. If you want to give friction wear in fighter mode have it "stand" nose up in fighter mode and work you way from top to bottom.
  17. tank asked me a question about washes so I figured I'd throw this up. It's not a valk but I think it's pertinant info. First I washed it. Then I primed it black ten I gave it a quick coat of black paint then I drybrushed it with gunmetal then I gave it a brown wash over a tiny bit of red wash on the feet [for a rusted effect]. here is a pic I posed it for. Only the lower half has been given the brown wash so you can see the difference. Only the very bottoms of the gun barrels were washed at this point as well . I believe I posted a pic of the finished one in the custums thread if anybody wants to see it.

Getting your paint the correct consistency is a large part of it, wheteher diluting water based acrylic or just shaking the heck out of the paint jar for a while. Using good quality brushes is another large part. Sable hair works sooooo much better than nylon. Lastly... I find a final wash seems to blend the few brush lines remaining quite well. My painting looks like it was airbrushed but my color schemes look like I smoke to much mary jane

  21. some custom destroids. The 7" tomahawk/excalibur on the left has the spikey bit from a delux movie spawn and exhaust pipes from my bits box. The small one and the 7" blue one just have paint jobs. The spartan/phalnyx has extra guns mounted on his missle drums from my bits box. The conversion kit was just in the pic.
  22. simple zen power armor custom. I have the manga spawn helmeted head on a custom exo-armor jetfire custom I'm working on and the "crispy" head is on the zen power armor this head came from. I still have more to do to the power armor so no pics of it yet
  23. I just had to make this one after seeing a pic of one and as I just happened to have the boosters. I made two... monkey has the second.
  24. you asked for it violator valk custom jetfire. Parts used from manga violator and jetfire in rough shape. It's finally almost done. I just need to attach the second fast pack blade with metal reinforcement and touch up the paint on the one shoulder. Fully transformable with removable head secured with modified rca jacks. Most important is thet like a true bandai it can fall off stuff without breaking oh yeah... the chain is there just so I knew where it was, it's not attached.
  25. You have an interesting username. says the man with a doorknob named barbarella???
