  1. I was wondering how long it would take someone to spot that. The armor is in a seperate box with bubble wrap and it's safe from my cats . The space gandam was part of a cheap ebay lot [of two] valks way back when... [i believe it was actually my first non-jetfire 1/55] The lot was 1 1/100 die-cast foot valk and the gandam. I didn't know what the heck it was but kinda liked the yin-yangs on the wings. A while back some-one was selling one so I was able to determine what it was by comparing. The gandam's identifying points are... lack of backplate markings, yin-yangs on the wings, and an amber colored canopy. Only recently some-one [eliwin] pointed out a space gandam for parts with box in responce to my "wanted 1/55 parts" thread http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=4434 I still need parts so anyways... I got some parts and a proper home for my gandam, although the plastic window needs to be replaced and the box is rough. here is a pic of the two valks from the original auction. I have no idea about the die-cast foot 1/100 besides it's better than the 1/100's in box above but not a bandai/takatoku. I have to tighten the hip bar [metal] every other transformation.
  2. here's a pic of two 1/100 boots I got from eliwin a ways back. The boxes look like the joons boxes and the quality is on par with joon's... actually pretty below joon's, and they don't have a name on the box. Are these taiwanese or was joon's just so ashamed they didn't label them?
  3. here is a shot of the individual joon's I have to date. If there is a milla 1a then I am missing it, the green joon's, and the hikaru joon's if it exists
  4. funny headed super??? popeye??? the sailor or the chicken place this is why I ask these questions here's a pic of the taiwan super again
  5. taiwan super... I have pics of the backs of both boxes if of interest.
  6. here's the taiwan strike in the odd box...
  7. After seein a post here on MW and learning about yet another 1/55 bootleg I was unaware of I just have to know every 1/55 made. I know that mw has the archives but much is not covered. If anybody knows of any other, knows more info about others, or wants to post pics... please do so. I am mostly interested in 80's bootlegs [ie those with diecast and proper molds so parts can be swapped] takatoku... I'll post a pic of the joon's I have so far [max, milla, patriot, and gandam], as well as pics of the two taiwan's later unless some-one beat me to it. I don't count the MPC's in this as parts cannot be swapped freely so don't yell at me.
  8. me, greenguy, and big-o all live in G'ville if you need us
  9. Monkey, can you find one of those things for LESS than fifty bucks shipped? It's my 21st this friday, and this.. this.. would be SO perfect.... hey greenguy... remind me to get you drunk the next time I see you Whats your poison of choice so I can have it on hand?
  10. well... he [arafat] paid me promptly [today] for a recast seeker and ostrich head [beer's] that I no longer need as well as the conversion wings which I am mailing out tomorrow with delivery confirmation. Spanish decent [i assume from the name] living in patterson new jersey explains the engrish though . Being a new yorker I had no problem reading it and just assumed he typed fast . He hasn't wronged me yet but I haven't bought anything from him as I'm a cheapskate so my opinion doesn't really matter anyway hope things work out. Arafat seems willing to work with those who give him time if that helps any.
  11. "a social disease" was one of my favorte skits from it. Nothing like one guy welding another guys but because he went blind kentucky fried movie was another movie of similar style. were there any others?
  12. find pics of work you like done by some-one here at the boards and offer them enough loot and I'm sure it could be worked out. I bet for a few grand WM would consider I know I would happily make someone a "violator" valk cheaply if they provided the manga violator and the valk, but painting it would be up to them. Heck, it would be better than mine as I learned "what not to do"
  13. Great idea until you try to remember where you parked! while camo can be quite effective on ground, in water, etc... you have to figure that anybody you happen to meet in space is going to have some technology [they are after all space flight capable]. Not running into things while traveling in space is kinda important so you can assume they have radar. Best bet would be look like an asteroid and coast till you are close enough to power up and unleash some whoop-ass
  14. no arms??? how do you hold the really big pointy? I can think of a few battletech mechs that had no arms but as for heros..... I know there was a robot in "techromancer" that had no arms but could kick your shins till you died
  15. vintage... voltron/lionbot battletech various spawn figs from various series... manga series 7 was cool.- I'm bias for fun just do a search on ebay for "robot" and see what comes up I saw a pretty cool robotic boxing kangaroo once upon a time
  16. flattery will get you everywhere. doubtful hard ware so as lebhead suggested. I know with pc's in addition to checking system overall volume, volume on all your players, sound card utilities if applicable... you can always get amplified headphones
  17. is it just the "star force" matsu's that aren't stamped matsushiro on the inner backplate? Both my matsu jetfires are stamped matsushiro. My taka's have the diamond, my joon's are blank as is the gandam, my jetfires are stamped "bandai" one one side and "japan" on the other on raised bits or stamped "bandai" on one side in a cube and "made in japan" on the other side not raised [not counting the matsu's], and my bandai's ahve a variety of markings and stickers such as "hi-metal", japanese writing, etc. The british matsu release is one of the few non-taka's I still need. I still can't believe I can't find a cheap green joon's!!! cool find lavender_blue... as long as you are happy with it it was worth it. Reboxed old stock isn't something you come across everyday and the box looked really nice. Heck... I bet you could sell the box for a bit and just keep the taka if you wanted
  18. it's gone??? oh well... I was kanata67 there as well and just did the trading post. Twas where I scored my 19a.
  19. ohhh... funny ones..... zim grrr stewie [from family guy] bender [futurama] cheshire cat [alice in wonderland] toady [from gummy bears] "dukie wookums!!!" grandpa [from jackie chan adventures] "and another thing...." team rocket [from pokemon]
  20. to evil and to climby... at lest my friends kids don't chew on my toys
  21. well... this goes back to the standard yellowing of toys type thing. Depending on what you did before the wash and how thick the covering of the plastic was... Washes are dilute [i use water based acrylic myself but oil should be no different I would think] and as such don't provide complete protection of what you washed, especially depending on the color of the wash and the paints applied before the wash. There is also the possiblity that the wash itself caused a slow yellowing reaction... Is the wash itself still visible? Is it more, or less, yellowed where the wash was thickest? was it exposed to direct sunlight? any pics?
  22. the zentraedi had a big enough problem dealing with emotions... I somehow think that zim would be enouh to send them running for cover... especially if he was on their side I could just see "grrr goes crazy and stuff"... or was it "invasion of idiot dog brain"... where instead of grrr's brain being swapped with the house it was swapped with the SDF-1's core proccessor. How would the zen cope with an erratic sdf-1 demanding taco's?????? Especially since most of their ships looked like guacamole covered buritto's " uhm... It appears that the sdf-1 is trying to consume us lord kyron sir... " in regards to "how they would avoid HG doing the same thing than Lucas." If they simply never said the "robotech" word and claimed they were making toys for export only [so we buy from monkey despite the stuff sitting in kev's warehouse] I don't think it would be a problem. The key is not breaking the laws but bending them as far as possible
  23. agent1 posted a link to http://www.feelosophee.com/pinguin.swf in a now locked thread, which was a cute little game involving a yeti smacking penguins for distance. While I only broke 300 once I did find it a good stress reliever. I used to play "snood" while in computer classes. there was elf bowling and elf shuffleboard... both of which were quite amusing There was a flash one where you got to microwave a gerbil made by the guy who brought us animated shorts like "superfly" Unfortunately I have downloaded all the games but for the one agent1 posted the link to so I can't provide links... though they are small enough to email I believe. Has anyone else stumbled across any horribly entertaining simple online games we should be aware of? I know the only horrible thing I ever made was a banner for monkey that if you didn't exit out of the page it was on fast enough it would open a bunch of windows for monkeys website . Wasn't so much a game as just cruel though
  24. wile e coyote... Not really anime but he goes fast and blows up a lot... which has been a prevalent theme in my life vash the stampede was pretty cool. Kaneada was cool violator made me laugh what was the name of the rabbit/spaceship in tenchi? the maxx... always love the psycho's
  25. size-wise the zen ships are about as long/big as the arms on the 1/5000 sdf-1. One lookes like a cuccumber, one looks like a squished cuccumber, and one looks like I don't know what and seperates into two ships. Once I figure out how I'm going to mount them I plan on using them as arms on a custom sdf-1 that will be waaaaay out of proportion
