    DX VF-25G

Since they dont require you to pay up front I just tossed a preorder in. If BBTS stocks them I'll go with them, they are by far my preferred online toystore. But I've just missed the boat on too many of these Bandai releases to not try and secure a preorder somewhere.
  2. I bought a Nora SV-51 and loved it. But I stayed away from every other release based on the horror stories I'd heard. I would love to see Mac0 be revisited, I love the designs from it.
  3. I was, I thought that was a great looking color. I had no idea it wasn't actually accurate to either.
  4. Any kind of domestic Thundercracker release is welcome indeed. The Takara version seems to be going for $250 or more and it's the one MP I regret I didn't buy. I just hope Hasbro does the same blue plastic they used for their deluxe Thundercracker, that figure looked great.
  5. The G looks great. I'm going to really try and get an order down for one of these this time, it'd be my first Frontier piece if I can manage it.
  6. I enjoyed it as well. It was a fun movie and Brolin did a pretty bang on Tomy Lee Jones. I certainly enjoyed it more than I remember enjoying the second one.
  7. Yeah, it's a fair point and part of the reason I bought Warbot. But Takara seems to be countering the upcoming 3rd party Soundwave toys with one of their own. Slightly different situation I know, but one can always hope. That being said, I truthfully believe Springer isn't popular enough to warrant an MP, Warbot or not.
  8. Alien is out on Blu-Ray and it's quite nice. But I think you are right. It looks like you might see some facehuggery lineage from the trailers, but yeahh. I doubt we are gonna see a Xeno, or maybe just like...the first one being born from the Space Jockey at the end of the film or something like that. I'm still super stoked about the film, but I don't think we're going to see a classic Xeno stalking anyone.
  9. A new Megatron would be great, but I think having a few new characters goes a long way. Soundwave went up for pre-order on BBTS for 150 so I snapped it one up. I can always cancel if he ends up being more expensive or the look isn't good. Soundwave is probably my favorite Decepticon though so I'm stoked to start seeing images of him.
  10. MP Soundwave is a must buy for me. I usually do my TF buying from BBTS so I'll pre-order him as soon as they list it. I really hope they go nuts on the cassettes for him.
  11. Martin is/has penned some scripts for the show and I believe serves as a producer in some capacity. But I also know he's stated that the books are the only thing that serve as canon. I get that some liberties have to be taken because it's a show, but the changes they are making have totally put me off. So I can see your point Omega, when I was watching I would regularly get "this didn't happen in the books" or "this didn't happen this way" moments in almost every episode.
  12. As you said, this is pretty much expected at this point. Blizzard had to completely rebuild battle.net to support this game. Go figure there would be some problems. It is very enjoyable though and I know they are busting ass to get everything working properly.
  13. This. As a side note, I found it was harder to read/re-read books for which I had already seen the show for (season 1 to book 1). My brain would try to match every character in the book to a face I had see on TV even though I had read some of the books prior to the show coming out. IMO if you like the show, the books should just be read. They are richer, more in depth and the show is beginning to take way too many liberties with the plot for my taste.
  14. I think the Witchdoctor has some elements similar to the necro, but I'm a Barb player myself so I couldn't say for sure. But I wouldn't necessarily bank on Blizzard bringing back old classes for any expansion packs. In some of the dev interviews that were on the CE disc they said they only wanted to bring classes back that they could alter and update. They basically said they couldn't think of anything to add to the Necromancer so they opted not to bring him back. Now obviously a lot could change between now and an xpack, but if you are interested in D3 it might be worth looking over the classes and seeing if one gels with how you want to play.
  15. I'll be doing some launch party stuff tonight with some friends from Blizzard, but I intend to be playing lots of D3. I'd like to bolster my friends list for the game as well.
  16. Finished Linebarrels, overall it got better. It wasn't the greatest series I've ever seen, but it was enjoyable enough. Decided to start watching Shin Mazinger Shogeki! Z Hen. Mazinger and some of those other really famous Super Robot shows were before my time but I've really come to love some of the older designs. So it seemed like a decent place to start. It started off almost totally incoherent, the first episode is basically a flash forward to the finale, but it jumps all over the place and you have no clue what's happening. The show has been enjoyable since and so far I'm digging it. Depending on how I'm feeling towards anime/mecha anime when Mazinger is over, I may start the much needed rewatch of G-Gundam.
  17. Finally got around to watching Frontier for the first time and I'm disappointed by how much I've missed the boat with these renewal pieces. Since I hadn't seen the show I hadn't really kept a pulse on the toys, boy how I wish I had. I'll just have to really start paying attention to subsequent releases and see if I might be able to add one of these to my collection.
  18. Watched Macross Frontier for the first time over the last week or so (I know I'm behind the times). Overall I enjoyed the show, but I sort of felt like the music thing was way more in your face than the other Macross things I've viewed, but I haven't seen 7. But the characters were likeable, the story was decently unique while still being familiar and I loved all the references to the previous series. I especially enjoyed all the ties to Macross Zero, which I think has ultimately become my favorite of the bunch. So having finished that up, I started Linebarrels of Iron since I'm in mecha mode. Not really sure what to make of this one, I dig the mecha design, the combat, most of the characters and the story is getting stronger as we move along. All that said, the main character sucks imo. I'm....6 or 7 episodes in now and he's only gotten marginally more tolerable, so I'm hoping he changes pretty drastically as we move on. Whether I finish Linebarrels or not, I am on the hunt for more decent mecha anime. I've seen some of the big ones like the pre-seed Gundam series, Gurren Lagann and a few others, but I know there are people here way more dialed into anime than I. So I'd appreciate suggestions if anyone has any.
  19. I can appreciate what they tried to do with real locations and all that. I can even buy the size of the engine room if you go off the official length which makes this Ent huge. But I think seeing something slightly more traditional would be cool too.
  20. I had to pass on Rex, but I really love Ray. If they knock it out of the park with the paint job on him I may have to find a way to get one. Hopefully there is some sufficient time to save for him.
  21. Alrighty guys, decided to snap a few Prime pictures with the new DSLR. They are a little dark even after I did some minor color correction, but new camera and an impromptu photo shoot so hopefully you can forgive. His eyes don't really show up blue in any of the shots, if I had used the flash though it probably would have picked it up better. The effect is definitely there, it just isn't nearly as vivid as MP-01. Head shot Another head shot Just standing Random pose one Random pose two A sort of "best of" shot from various lines Just for kicks, the MPs with Sideshow Prime And lastly a close up of Sideshow Prime's head just because
  22. Wowwwww seeing the Megazord brings back memories. Looks really nice too. I might consider picking one up for nostalgia's sake if the price is right.
  23. So I just finished unboxing my Takara MP-10 and I'm floored. This is, imo, without a doubt the greatest rendition of Optimus Prime ever. The sculpt (especially the head which is amazing), the color, the paint, the joints, everything is unbelievably perfect. Even the eyes are blue despite looking black in the photos I've seen. I have literally never been so pleased unboxing a Prime (or possibly any other toy) as I was just a few minutes ago and I own the Sideshow Prime maquette. I cannot sing enough praise for this figure. As a lover of Optimus Prime this is in contention for the crown jewel of my Prime collection. I feel that it surpasses MP-01 in every conceivable way and it's easily the greatest Transformer (that actually transforms) that I own. I'm saying all this without even really looking the trailer over, in fact, it's going to stay in the box mostly because of space. I don't feel like I overpaid at all, this is the Optimus Prime toy I've been dreaming of since I was barely old enough to talk. It's perfect.
