So did the Boeing X-32 lose the JSF contest to the Lockheed X-35 because the Lockheed looked way more conventional? I watched a similar video on the X-32 and it kind of left you with the same impression. Except, in that video, they also gave you the impression the X-32 would have been cheaper than the Lockheed vehicle. You'd think at some point the military would put its foot down about cost over-runs.

Count me in with the group that thinks it's bad... and i'm a very easy judge of anime. It eventually grew on me a little but i never thought of it as 'good' for a moment.

Look at the dates. Its an announcement that a 1/60 version of the gbp is coming. The 1/48 must just have been an eye catch.

He says that, almost word for word, at 7:24. I'm not judging his body of work but he's making some leaps for sure in this video. I don't mean to sidetrack the conversation from Prometheus though. -
Well yeah, I'll probably get both. But if another variant of the 171 drops at the same time as the VF-4 there's gonna be a lot of people making tough decisions... unless we all get this first release of the 171 and decide it's not all it's cracked up to be. As gorgeous as the 171 looks so far, I'm still more excited about the prospects of the VF-4.

Sure, we've already seen people having to make decisions in the past between the V2 DX toys and Yamato's recent toys. The competition will lead to some people choosing a DX toy over the Yamato toy (and vice versa) at some point. Competition is good though, it looks like both manufacturers are really stepping it up. I hope my preorder on that 171 comes through!

LOLz, the Illuminati is trying to wreck mankind's DNA? An entertaining clip but a little heavy on the crazy. Still, I'm lovin' everything I see about Prometheus. In fact, I'm getting scared now I've reached that hype point where the only thing this move will be able to do is let me down. -
It belongs to a pretty unpopular toy so its worth is very limited. You could buy the whole toy, in box, for less than $50.

In the future, the reasons why we paint landing gears white are no longer valid... 'cause in the future there are no leaks of anything and everything is made of impossibly strong metals. The future is nice.

Carbon fiber wheels? We've come a long way. That car has kind of an jumbo jet feel in the windshield to front door windows effect but overall, I approve.

Might have something to do with the last reissue of the M&Ms in 1/48 scale which were gigantic shelf warmers... Yamato might be gun shy now. They might also be trying to figure out how to make it so the paint isn't so easily scratched off around the shoulders.
