  1. Start at VF2SS thread... But it ain't gonna happen... At least in a larger scale. Too bad the Hi-metal line died.
  2. Have you guys not seen Battlestar Galactica? It has all happened before and will happen again. C'mon, the VF-1 is one of TWO proven money makers in the Macross franchise (the other being the VF-25).
  3. You doubt they're planning toys for the next series?
  4. A scaled up hi-metal with integrated parts would probably fit the bill for most and potentially hit a really decent price point.
  5. So here was my wishlist as I remember it from before: 1) Emulate the canon transformation by incorporating swing bars that move the legs to their position. Do this by putting a bar inside the nosecone that twists to poke out on either side. Then have the legs move down on swing arms, open up, and attach to the bars (or just plug in I suppose using rubber sockets). Then have those arms release (by squeezing in like binder clips). Make it so those arms then fold out and up to be the side covers for battroid mode. It would take some engineering but it'd be sweet. 2) Have the heat shield not be attached to the chest so a point of articulation can be added in the back of battroid. Since we're using swing arms there should also be a totally functional waist. If you want to go for brownie points, figure out a way how to angle the cockpit forward below the canopy in battroid mode though that may be impossible without going 1/48. 3) No folding leg fins. If they want to do something with the leg fins, let the use recess them as that's more akin to what happens in the show anyway. 4) Hard points on the wings, no VF-171 shenanigans 5) Just do the 1/48 style fast packs. The problem with the 1/48s was that little spike on the back that sometimes people forgot to recess which then caused them to over stress the backpack.
  6. That looks like a true junkyard dog. Edit - I think that's what you were going for (ie. heavily weathered) so that shouldn't be read as an insult.
  7. I've found it quite enlightening, sometimes background folks are saying relevant things the mix makes it almost impossible to hear... Especially if you're trying not to wake a toddler.
  8. Also,make it so it doesn't bust.
  9. Any toy company that goes with a different scale better announce lots of toys. 1/72 or bust!
  10. For those of you with banged up boxes, remove the slip cover and open the box like a book and maybe you can hide minor corner dings on the back half of your box display while showing off the toy inside.
  11. I don't read Kanji so I'm going to make up my own conclusions. There's a DX VF-1 coming out and a 1/1 scale YF-29!!!!! OMG I hope my government buys lots of them!
  12. Pretty sure they're the same hands from like the 1/48 VF-1... I would not get excited.
  13. So did someone already hypothesize that this series will include time travel and the "delta" alludes to the time line being changed? That's right, we're going full Star Trek!
  14. Oh that hit's the spot.
  15. My box from lunar was perfect.
  16. It was at MWCon. Looks great indeed. I may be shooting really low here but I'd love to see a VF-0S announcement (using most the parts from the new 0D) sometime in the near future. I suspect though that after the VF-1J+GBP we're going to have a long pause.
  17. Well the fit of the parts looks fantastic. Now to see if that joint behind the cockpit is sturdy enough to keep things from drooping.
  18. Sadly, shipping to the US is minimum $55 so it ends up being a $10 savings but I guess it is a huge box so I should have seen that coming.
  19. Have you ordered from them before? I'm a little nervous with spots new to me.
  20. If anybody wants a DMZ Rabidly Dog, someone is flooding eBay with loose ones. I'm guessing they got their hands on all the factory rejects or something.
  21. Hmm, while it looks like you can buy it... it also looks like it's sold out so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for an eBay grab I guess.
  22. Was there a YF20?
  23. Where'd you get yours from Techno? I'd jump on that price.
  24. So given the strength of the $ right now, do you think we'll see anyone get a little more aggressive on their MP-10EVA pricing? I mean, the thing is going to retail for about $220 so am I being cheap to think $315 is too much?
