Domestic US shipping is a lot easier to do, it can all be done online. International stuff seems to require time in the post office... Maybe it's gotten better since the last time I tried.

The reissue has already been delayed one month according to CDJapan.

The SD VF-1 toy is a purchased mold from another third party though right? . From what I understand, they did tighten up some tolerances, but I feel like all they've really done from scratch so far are their little Minmay dancing figures and such.

I haven't been following Transformers lately. Was this the G1 re-release that has been hitting Walmarts? -
Likely no, but the only products we have from them so far aren't much to go by.

They did get rid of the swing bar... It disconnects right?

I agree, I was really hoping we'd finally get a proper ab crunch.
-
I don't think you're in the minority at all, I suspect that most people agree. Nobody wants to abandon the 1/60 scale and I don't think anyone believes that Bandai is going to make any other mechs in 1/48 (since 1/60 for just about everything else works out to a similar size as a 1/48 VF-1). For me, that was the big bummer of dropping from 1/35 scale. I was hoping this would be a halo product that would obviously only get a few releases... now it's questionable. Yamato intended their 1/48 line to only go between 3 and 5 releases and look what happened there. Of course, we might get this in our hands and be so blown away that we NEED more...
-
Yes, when Bandai is uncertain, they seem to refer to routine. I think there's a fair chance of a VT-1 and VE-1 since they did them before and did them again for HMR. I would be surprised if they didn't put the forethought into the DX toy.

I'd expect the same variants from the 2002 reissues.

I picked up an HCM Hikrau VF-1J which is great because I always regretted selling mine. I also grabbed the CM's DYRL Max in Q-Rau suit that I've been trying to track down for a while. No Bandai 1/250 fighter collections, that was a bummer. -
I need to update my Arcadia YF19 review with this info! I had no idea what all the extra parts even were... Just that they looked cool on the wings.

Ooh, a no paint version, fun! -
I'm sure there will be tamashii exclusives down the road that will operate that way. The regular releases are all scheduled far in advance so they just conservatively guess at a number that promises decent returns
-
Everything that gets mentioned makes me think "yeah, I want that" so, as long as the line continues, I think I'll be happy.
-
No brown shipper for me, mine was a later delivery. I don't think they're getting them on the secondary market, i wish we knew the story though. i know in manufacturing there are times when entire lots are rejected for QC purposes even when only a few items are affected. My guess is that Bandai rejected a production run and now those are finding there way to the market.

I couldn't discern an issue with my vt-1, I might have just used a heavy hand the first time I went to gerwalk.
-
Yes, the most obvious front runners, assuming the line continues are (in no particular order) A) A VF-1 repaint B) Tomahawk Destroid C) Phalanx Destroid D) N-Ger E) Reissue of one of the more popular toys (like the Regults since they're around 3x MSRP right now)
-
To add a bit more color, the N-ger toys were allegedly done (or near done, with functioning joints) at the time of the show. IIRC,, other 'toys' like the VF-4G and the DX VF-19K, were just 3D print jobs of one solid piece of plastic.
-
I thought they just put out stickers so you could convert VF-1J hikaru figures or something to emulate them...

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
jenius replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
But DYRL is amazing. It's absolutely beautiful, the fight choreography is fantastic, and it has good music without obviously being a commercial for the music. I put it on a pedestal because it's great, not just because it's a rehash of a series I love. It also takes that story and modernizes so many elements in slight and believable ways enhancing the universe. Plus is good, the first Frontier movie is absolutely dreadful, the second Frontier movie is better but needs that dreadful first movie to be a complete story (and I'm not feeling a surfing capital ship), and I'm looking forward to some day seeing the Delta movie. MacrossII also exists.- 810 replies
