I was going to argue "but without Snoke, Kylo would have never turned in the first place" but, in hindsight, I think the story works better without Snoke. If it was just some mystery as to why Kylo turned the story wouldn't really be any worse off. I guess the only purpose Snoke serves is to fill the role of Kylo's master once he abandons Luke with the notion that someone needs to be training him for him to ultimately end up super strong in his ability to use the force. The problem is, the ability to believe Kylo is well trained relies on the belief that Snoke is a valid master and they didn't do a whole lot to prove that. -
IIRC the podcast at the time, the VF-4 wasn't just a 3D print job like the DX VF-19Kai is second from the left... so I'd be optimistic that it really is in the pipeline. That said, we know the Phalanx and Tomahawk have been fully engineered, and the N-Ger was rumored to be an actual mock-up as well. Man, I want so many toys....

I'm not sure about the back and forth here but the first time I watched "The Force Awakens" I though that Kylo unlocked something while he was mind probing her. Like, she had been trained in her youth and then, for her safety, that training with her youth were locked away from her and she was dumped on Jakku. I guess they could still go that route depending on what they choose to do (if anything) with her parentage. Make her the kid of a sith/dark Jedi who trained her and then dumped her when Luke came looking for him and things could get more interesting. The Jedi Academy can go a few ways. The kids accepted by the Jedi all clearly demonstrate that they have force power. You could argue that the Jedi Academy is more about corralling these kids before they just start winging it and doing very bad things with their powers...

Yeah, I'd say watch a transformation guide through to GERWALK mode and you should be able to see several steps that are only necessary because the toy is going to GERWALK mode and skip those.

Maybe the DX question should be 'assuming the 31 armor is there, what DX surprises would you like to see?' The Hayao tv 1A, cavaliers 1A (kinda) both have been on display, the 1D was on the voting list and there may have been others I'm not recalling. That's why 'other vf1' seems a better fit but if someone is hoping specifically for the be EX releases, I guess this works.

I believe the 19Advance has the first and second hard points pushed outward a small amount so the second mount would gain some clearance from the advance pack booster.

Next DX will almost certainly be the armor for the 31S. I'd also update the HMR poll to change VF1EX into "some other VF1 release"

I think the big thing a company needs to figure out is the pelvic thrust and/or back hunch.

31 is the better toy, but you need a YF19 for all those accessories and the minor retooling.

The YF19 shield has slots for the fold booster, the VF19advance shield does not. The color difference is probably subtle enough it wouldn't bother you otherwise.

I'm hoping it's released within 60 days of the DX YF-19's release :)... but if not, maybe I can ship it with the DX VF-1.

I'm working diligently on an update to that review and the new version will include scans of both the VF-19Advance and DX YF-19 instructions as well... for those of you that want to leave the instructions in sealed baggies

I think Bandai would tell you that it's not an issue, it's a feature. It's just a pop on/off part. At least the stabilizers are large enough where you're not likely to lose them when they fall off.
