A 'hand' option set does feel kinda silly. If we get lots of releases in this line, are they going to make the hand option parts available frequently? Same thing with the missiles and super parts? Are they going to release the VF-1J and then make those TWE releases next? Will we have to order enough so that we have some for future DX VF-1 toys? With a smaller company, I believe they would make the parts available frequently enough for it to work. For Bandai? I'm worried.

Is this a different line than the MegaHouse Cosmo Fleet? It seems like it would fit in perfectly with that line.

Every add-on has been a TWE for a while so, barring a gift-set, it will most likely be TWE. This thing looks uglier every time I see it. I mean, I'm obviously getting it, but I can't imagine hiding such a beautiful design inside such an ugly one for any length of time.

Everything yellows, I've definitely seen older HM toys with yellowing while shopping.

I think CDJ had an issue with their email. I got my notification that my 31F Movie version shipped and the next day it arrived. On the "how many" 31As topic. I think a minimum of 5000 is likely. They probably have a max factory run also and then they build to order with a margin of error. We don't know the max run (where they stop preorders early and say they've hit capacity). Sadly, even if we knew the number they intended, we don't know what happened afterward....

Man, didn't take long for the color whining to start! What's wrong with chocolate! I LOVE CHOCOLATE. It's not like the joints are shown in DYRL nor is Mr. March's coloring canon. Bandai probably viewed it as another way to differentiate their toy from Arcadia's. The chest actually looks smaller to me than on the Arcadia... at least in how far it protrudes forward. I still wish they would have put the big shoulder pauldrons on pivots but at this scale, I always knew I was dreaming too big. If they ever do a DX, they should TOTALLY make that happen... bonus points if they put it on an extending ball joint. I'm super thrilled to finally be getting a FB2012 paint scheme!

I did, transformed it again to battroid and worked the slider for a bit and got the extra mm that was necessary.

Hi-Metal R is a 'non scale' line, it generally equates to between 1/85 and 1/100 scale. The VF-1 are definitely bigger than true 1/100. -
Looks pretty funny on a VE1 but I like the gray, I hope they have plans for other colors also.

So after a listing on eBay I did some research on Yamato's Scopedog + Red Shoulder Parts gift-set and learned something I never new before.... I always assumed that since it was released after the Version 2 Red Shoulder standalone toy that the toy included in that gift-set would be a version 2. Well, it's not! The toy inside is the same Scopedog that Yamato originally released. I saw the box was the old style box and then found the HLJ listing which made it clear you don't get a version 2 toy with the gift-set. Sooo.... had to make some edits to my page and created this new visual release schedule: If anyone has the Red Shoulder gift-set (last one on the right), I would love to hit you up for some pictures! Let me know!

I was just going to email CDJ and ask for an update but I noticed the status has changed from 'payment processed' to 'shipping in process' so I'm guessing there's just a lot of shipping issues in Japan right now and that more 31F Movie Version will be hitting the market now.

Curious, they say to give them 1-4 days to ship after release so if I wake up tomorrow and haven't heard anything, I'll send an email to support.

I can only assume the delay is related to the general distribution havoc that seems to have hit Japan following the natural disasters... since it's a regular release it seems doubtful we're heading down the 31A rabbit hole again... though stranger things have certainly happened.
