  1. Wow, where did that come from?
  2. That's not very big.
  3. FromJapan is just a proxy... it's similar to saying you bought something from eBay and it never arrived. That's not because of eBay, it's because of the seller on eBay.
  4. Negative, only the GBP has cavity fillers.
  5. Pretty sure the "1/45" pic is the first prototype.
  6. It's a good bet a few will show up on MW and else where, at this point you're just waiting for release. I'm sure a few people have a couple on order in case one retailer falls through and if both get delivered they'll sell one.

    Bandai DX VF-31

It's from a movie a lot of people haven't seen and custom for a valk a lot of people don't own.
  8. So even if I ship the toy and ask for help I'm probably SOL, all the more reason to keep trying with them while they have the toy. I like them as a shop, they were on the verge of being my go to place, but I think I'll keep spreading the line around after this.
  9. Dealing with Anime Export on this has been... not the best. I never shipped mine. I reached out to them and said "I haven't shipped mine yet but there's a well-known manufacturer defect, can I request correcting parts?" They very promptly asked "Yes, we know of this, would you like us to check your toy?" I said "Yes please." That was probably 2 weeks ago and I never heard back. Today I created a ticket and said "Can I return this item and re-order new stock when the issue is corrected or ask to have the correcting parts shipped with my toy?" I immediately got a response that they needed pictures of the problem to get the correcting parts. I pointed out that the toy hasn't shipped so I would need them to check it for me. They responded back "We can give you a refund less a 20% restocking fee." I asked them to just check the toy I ordered and if it needs parts to send them with the toy. After pretty quick back and forth they again went silent. It seems like the only way I would get help from them is by shipping my toy, taking the pictures myself, and then having them ship a second package... that sucks for me because I'd rather be combining orders.
  10. I wonder if the hands included so far are actually a mistake... they were supposed to all be TV hands. We do get two hands that are shown in that "option parts" set (gun holding and open hand). The only thing we didn't get were the TV fists.
  11. Wasn't there a point when it looked like they were going to sell a hands add-on kit? Maybe people just saw all the fixed posed hands and thought that they must be an extra accessory.
  12. I think these non-canon schemes are great because it gives KC something unique to sell... if you like these there's only one place to get them. For everything else, KC has an uphill battle. Bandai's Hi-Metal toys are not as full featured but they're cheaper and are a much more polished product with a robust line of schemes, destroids, and bad guys. If KC fixes the missiles their toy still won't compete with Arcadia's 1/60 line so their sweet spot is really limited. Basically, if the Hi-Metal R doesn't have enough features or look good enough to you, you can spend 33-50% more (roughly) and get the KitzConcept. However, if you're willing to pay $115 for a bare KitzConcept, you're only $100 away from a top of the line DX toy or an Arcadia toy WITH super parts. I think a lot of people at that point will talk themselves into the cheaper option or into saving for one of the better options.

There's a theory of selling products you know won't sell well to improve sales of other products. The VW Phaeton is a good example.
  14. The only HMR with the seats for battroid is the 1D to recreate the scene in the show, I don't think it will be standard equipment is we get more VF-1 toys in that line.
  15. I couldn't justify making the same review I just did for the Dark Gold VF-1S but this time having the Dark Red VF-1S so I made a new video where I covered both at the same time. They're really the same toy with different trim paint, see the review here:

An entirely blue Tomahawk wouldn't look bad either, maybe with some white accents. Anymoon is up!
  17. That's one mean looking biker gang.
  18. My Votoms section is pretty weak... I have a hard time keeping up with Macross and Mospeada releases. That said, the DMZ toys are BOMB for the price. Excellent paint job and not nearly as frustrating to handle as early Yamato 1/12 dogs (later Yamato 1/12 toys are pretty good but also very plain looking... they make amazing customs). DMZ toys do have some compromises though, articulation isn't the best but it's a lot better than classic toys. If you're considering buying one, I have an extra Chirico Last Red Should Turbo Custom that might interest you. Shoot me a PM!
  19. It would be so easy to do a little photoshop here and convince people Roy was coming.... Those strike parts look angled up pretty high.

If my site weren't down I could answer all those questions with pictures but i'll have to go off memory: 1) HMR added a removable nosecone, if you're going to put a GBP on, you need HMR 2) HMR added beefier biceps 3) HMR added a clear visor to the 1J head IIRC. Later in the HMR line, they made the one head a ball joint which added more articulation 4) Metal hinges in the shoulder area 5) HMR nerfed the backpack lock that exists on HM toys (which makes HM toys superior in this regard, no idea why they did that) 6) HMR VF-1S head has been improved (pictures would really help here) 7) HMR uses pale gray instead of white for DYRL The original Hi-Metal toys are pretty old at this point so buying them used is dicey, yellowing and loose parts is pretty common. Hope that's it, I had to go from memory... I'm hoping to get anymoon back up this afternoon.

Even reissues of several toys would do better. They should reissue Hikaru with GBP and give him the new neck and DYRL yellow missiles, do a Focker release, the regult could use another round, lots of options over the non canon scheme of a not hugely popular design.

Yeah... Nexx all over again. Sad that releases slowed down so much and this is how they got it moving again.

then go with Amazon... sad how HLJ tanked their site. I'm hoping it's at least a lot more secure.

I'm sure they'll offer it, probably just not a huge priority and their site seems clunky to update.
