Anime export is still ghosting me about the SV-51 and Amazon JP pinged me today to tell me my card was expired so it looks like my wait on this guy is going to continue for a while.

My guess is it's not a "VF-4S" because Bandai would have needed to get more approvals from BigWest to make that happen since it's tinkering with the universe rather than slapping a new paint scheme on something.

Since the joint that breaks isn't obvious, you can get shapewise replacements. My VT-1 had black shoulder hinges, it's not a big deal and I could paint them if I cared. -
I re-watched The Last Red Shoulder for the first time in years last night. It fits in really well with the show and doesn't go all crazy with the Chirico can't be killed stuff. Excluding the Chirico can't be killed stuff in Roots of Ambition, it's still probably my favorite OVA, but Last Red Shoulder is very good.

I'd prefer a lot of other toys or repaints but that looks better than the Messer VF-1.

It's kind of like the Yamato VF-0 and the Arcadia VF-0... At a glance you can convince yourself the old version is fine but when you handle the new one you can never go back.

If a customer pays the money goes to the seller's paypal account where they can transfer it instantly to their bank. So the worry would be that someone would take a bunch of orders, receive a bunch of money, then transfer it to their account and close their paypal account and probably the related bank account and move on with their life.

Yes, a tragedy. I think Macross has moved away from exclusive licenses. Arcadia now asks to make a toy, BigWest asks Bandai if they're okay with that, and if Bandai says "sure" they get to make it.
