  1. i don't know about spoon fed. apple just creates aesthetically better packaging. and it's cool that way because their marketing "strategerie" separates them from the rest of software and hardware manufacturers. if an apple or dumb PC user decides to make a purchase, i'm sure each makes an effort by common sense to do a research before making a purchase. and as for microsoft, they could care less about the look of their packaging because they know they have dumb PC users by the balls; since 90% of computer users are on windows based machines.
  2. The 1/60 VF-0S will be as tall as the 1/48s right? The 0 will have a rotating cockpit, though the body a little different in the cockpit area, that should provide a good example on how to set up the rotation points.
  3. Absolutely amazing...thank you for the photos, Dave! These are great! Man, that 178 is so "buff!" Great job!
  4. Port! Nice Job! Would it be possible if you can have the Strike stand next to a perfect grade and take a snap shot...how about next to the MK II or the GP-01? I would like to get this model kit, but would like to see how it look next to perfect grades. Thanks!
  5. Hi, Hopefully this is not a repost...but have you guys seen the new trailer for Another Century's Episode 2? There are actually Valkyries on this game. I have not seen the first game for PS2...but the animation looks sweet. I think as a bonus, they should have a "what if" easter-egg...comparing pilots and their abilities...basically who's better and who's the best! http://www.ace-game.jp/ Jason
  6. Sounds good EXO ... I'm down ... is there a deadline for the art submission?
  7. feudallordcult, I think your best bet is to save a portion of your earnings specifically for Toys...if you're serious about this whole collection thing. When I got the GBP-1 armor, it was closure...er until the next similar add-on for 1/48 valkyrie comes along. 1) 'got engaged 6 months ago and we're 13 months away from our wedding. i'm able to buy a valkyrie every two months...if not, that money goes to savings...but i'm also trying to complete my perfect grade gundams (including all other 1/60 gundams) and all binaltechs. 2) no a completist ... one of each is fine for me, plus there's no more space in our apartment. 3) just keep an eye out for those specific text blurbs; "limited edition" etc ... another thing that can help is a freelance job on the side. right now we're saving up for our wedding ... and house is next. prices of houses in san diego, california are not so nice...sooo...we're thinking about the midwest ... or texas .... damn it. good luck.
  8. got some pics up...a little overboard, but i was excited and tingly all over...like when ralphie got his red rider, lever locking spring air, 4.5 mm bb rifle... ... sigh ... http://www.teamvariance.com/downloads/gbp/ i'm already guessing that yamato may bring out a similar armor parts set for the 1/60 vf-0s. so whatcha' think?
  9. heh heh ... finally got my set too ... had the box delivered at work.
  10. nice pics SaveRobotech, the 1/60 vf-0s is suppose to be taller than the 1/48 correct, by about 2 cm? can you guys tell/confirm?
  11. Very nice collection stuffparties. And great case too! Is that thing air-tight? That OG Voltron is dope! Are you getting the GBP armor soon?
  12. Graphic Designer / Illustrator ... but mostly doing production work, currently working on our boxing website's ring card girls ... keeps this month interesting.
  13. Hey Myk (and the rest of yas in California) ... ... you guy ever visited the middle states? We went to Oklahoma and found 4 bedroom/3 baths/3 car garage houses for $210,000. up to 3,400 sq. ft. hee hee. ... but of course, lots of flat farm lands. You can get up to 5,000 sq. ft. for $400,000 which is unheard of ... there's a house in my old neighborhood in San Diego that is 900 sq. ft. and it's $710,000 LOL. holy crap. so anyway ... about Keely Hazel. heh heh heh ... what's up with her? :0
  14. Aside from living expenses and student loans ... we're concentrating on: 1) Our Wedding for 2007 and when all possible (sometimes in secrecy from the lady), I try to squeeze the checking account for: - Snowboarding Gear - Perfect Gundams - Binaltechs - Street Fighter Figures - and thinking about 1/6 RAH figures and 1/48 fighter figures.
  15. it's suppose to be, feel and look like a B rated movie ... 80s style ... whatcha' all expect ... LOL. definitely a cult movie ... in the ranks of evil dead, 2 and army of darkness with a mixture of chainsaw mas .... or i don't know what the hell i'm talking about. but you know the scary thing is ... this movie can be true ... you know that in some remote places on earth ... they have this type of business going. scary.
  16. gosh damn, you can feed an entire town with that much money spent on that stuff ! are you family of the town's mayor?
  17. shoot it don't matter ... if the lighting is better, i'm sure that LV will look better with the GBP armor. you can even paint that armor grey ... foh shooh, it's all good! it's true pupose is served! badass 1/48 scale!

    Wall Of Valkyries

I don't know guys ... have you seen Sithlord's display cases? Can you imagine if he had all those in their original boxes? Sheesh. And LORD KUNGFU, if your claim is true, then it'll be a gosh damn awe-inspiring and admirable loot ! Let's see that collection!
  19. Hi Graham, Double post, but I've noted this just minutes ago, in regards to the tipping of the battloid due to loose ankles or leg joints ... this is one of my biggest fears after seeing this problem with the fast packs. "... don't you guys think that since there is no guarantee that the ankle joints for all valkyries will be tight enough to support fast packs, (and now the GBP) ... that it'll be a possibility for yamato to have some add-on that will add stability to that battloid mode? This "ankle/foot brace" will be deep & wide, and will have some extension that braces on the rear bottoms of the leg armors. And the brace should elevate the battloid up to 3/4" to an 1" inch ... to tower over battloids without the GBP ... this would really work well and accentuate the heaviness and the "bad-ass-ness" of the GBP armor. What do you guys think?" Is this an easy task? Do you guys think Yamato will make some sort of add-on later?
  20. Gundamn it, that's dope! Already I see you peeps super-detailing and weathering these armor pieces. Hayao (Yamato employee or not) ... I think someone asked earlier about whether if the weight of the armor will force the battloid to fall back or not ... but don't you guys think that since there is no guarantee that the ankle joints for all valkyries will be tight enough to support fast packs, (and now the GBP) ... that it'll be a possibility for yamato to have some add-on that will add stability to that battloid mode? This "ankle/foot brace" will be deep & wide, and will have some extension that braces on the rear bottoms of the leg armors. And the brace should elevate the battloid up to 3/4" to an 1" inch ... to tower over battloids without the GBP ... this would really work well and accentuate the heaviness and the "bad-ass-ness" of the GBP armor. What do you guys think?
  21. ditto! holy scrapoly ... wha in da heall?
  22. I know you guys got something cool for xmas! Show them off! ...from a friend, a loved one or from yourself...you got anything wacky and cool to show off? Jason
  23. dang ghiblione, i know how you feel. i didn't have the money when the low viz came out at $137 a piece from tmpanime.com ... so after every passing season i saw the price go up. i got lucky recently, and found a fellow MW member selling his and won it at a very reasonable price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=6017557468 (trumpets and orchestra...) of course stickers applied, but it's cool. now i have that bad boy in the closet waiting, and along with the rest of the 1/48 valkyries, waiting for the day my fiance and i close that escrow. for $385 ... you can get one by the end of the first week of the new year! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=6023480264 ... sell your other toys. good luck!
  24. Easnoddy, Also, with your set of new fast packs, be careful handling those twin rocket packs on the backpack/booster area. Make sure you're pulling or pushing carefully without putting any pressure on the "BP-8" joint. I think Yamato whould make that part into metal. You can also use Testors' non-toxic cement to hold and tighten those joints. Jason
  25. Jenius - I second that emotion ... after seeing Sithlord's collection of "one-valkyrie-for-each-pose," my jaw dropped ... especially with the 1/48 Low Viz! And speaking of the Low Viz ... ... trumpets please ... I finally got myself a 1/48 Low Viz (thank you "scand") ... after all the whining and begging ... I can't believe it! (sigh) ... finally, my collection is closer to completion! Thanks Sean! Jason
