  1. I'm not questioning the translation, but yeah, that guy needs a better line. Something like, "Holy crap on stick! Those freakin' giant aliens are blowing the hell out of the airport! If I were a man, I'd change to battroid mode and go shoot them all in the face. But since I'm just some no-name schmuck flying this brown bullet-magnet, I'm gonna puss out and fly away instead." See isn't that better? LOL!
  2. What is animation is that frame from? Macross TV? It's from episode 34 of the series, "Private Time".
  3. LOL! Yeah, he was. But the translation makes it seem like was just coming in for a routine landing and couldn't because the runway was bombed-out.
  4. I just watched the series again and this struck me as funny. I realize that CF pilots probably aren't the brightest guys, but come on, the dude's in a plane that can turn into a freaking robot and land anywhere. It's not like he needs a nice clear runway or anything. What a dumbass.
  5. I don't think it's the Super 1J and the DYRL Strike Parts he's selling. It looks like the guy took the TV armor from the Super 1J and simply replaced it with the DYRL stuff.
  6. I've got two red and one blue. My first red one's hips got a little loose finding the right pose, but the other two are rock solid. I'd buy a green TV version if it became a reality. And yeah, a 1/60 Glaug would be awesome, but since Yamato has mainly focused on DYRL toys and Kamjin wasn't in DYRL, I wouldn't count on it. But hell yeah, if they build it, I'll buy it!
  7. Yeah, I saw that. I'm almost tempted to buy it just to find out if there really is going to be a limited version of the CF.
  8. You know, I wouldn't mind if Yamato waited until October to release these. But that's just because my car will be paid off in September! LOL!
  9. There's nothin' quite like slaughtering countless enemies in the name of your deity. Witness the true evil power of organized religion.
  10. Wow, Kurt! That's awesome! Keep up the great work!
  11. There's some damn good ones here. Check 'em out.
  12. That's what I was thinking, not to mention that it was missing a piece. Even with a recast head and hands, I still wouldn't consider it to be worth as much as it sold for. And I definitely wouldn't think of it as a collector's item anymore. Also, the weathering on the Low-Viz comes off easily. The seller used "Goo Gone" to remove it, but I've heard you can just rub it off by hand. This is why I don't really handle my Low-Viz valks much.
  13. Well, it only makes sense that the new Pope is evil; he was a member of the "Hitler Youth" during WWII. If he grows a little moustache, watch out!
  14. See my pic in this thread for a comparison of the color and shape of the arm armor.
  15. Just wondering about this post. Can we use the existing NP-FP-01 FAST Pack booster base for this project? I got 6 TV FAST Packs I want to get rid of, but if we can use the boosters for the VT and VE, then I'll keep them. But since the VE and VT's tail fins aren't folded flat, wouldn't that make the boosters sit at an incredibly awkward angle? You'd need to find a way to turn the metal pegs that hold the boosters to the backpack if you wanted to keep them in line with the rest of the valk. Of course, this won't be a problem if you fold the tail fins, but that's not accurate for the VE and VT.
  16. Most of my 1/48s are still in their boxes. Many of the ones I have on display are naked, but a few have Takatoys' stickers applied. My first one, a Roy 1S, has the stock stickers carefully trimmed and applied. I've got some of Devin's decals, but have yet to use them. One of my Low-Viz has a few small stock stickers mixed with Takatoys'. The colors don't match perfectly, but they're so small it's not really noticeable. Most of my 1/60s have the stock stickers on them (applied by the previous owners since many were purchased second-hand), but a few are still naked. I've got some of Takatoys' 1/60 stickers, but I've been too lazy to apply them. One of these days when I get industrious, I hope to get stickers and decals on all of my valks. Except for the Toynami MPCs, that is. I put stickers on the Roy and the Jack because those are the only two that I display. The rest stay in their boxes between the bookends.
  17. Thanks for that Alien Queen! All I can say is, "Daaaaaammmmnnnnn!"
  18. Funny story... a couple of months ago some members of the Detroit police were complaining about the lack of stopping power of the .40 S&W round. Apparently, it failed to penetrate the insulated winter coat of one suspect. In another case, the round bounced off the suspect's skull. But it was later noted that this guy had a steel plate in his head, so that's not so surprising. Anyway, the police commissioner felt the same as you do and stated that these were isolated cases and the cops would continue to use the .40 S&W round rather than go back to 9mm.
  19. It's probably this, but I haven't heard anything else about it.
  20. Why would you want to cover up a Low-Viz with the armor, anyway? Doesn't that kinda defeat the whole purpose of the camouflage?
  21. The lasers are held in place with screws from the inside. The only way to get to them is to carefully pry the head apart. In fact, it would be a lot easier to just get one of Rohby's recasts rather than take a chance on ruining the stock head.
  22. Holy crap, you're good with MS Paint, Flaming Gauntlet! You never fail to impress! Do the queen Alien next!
  23. The top of the picture shows the peg on the leg and the shallow hole on the forearm. The bottom is what you're looking to get to. It's actually easiest to lock the arms together with the gunpod between them and move them as a single piece. Spread the legs out a touch and lower the arms. Squeeze the legs inward and the pegs will find the holes. It should hold, even with the strap on the gunpod. Sorry about the lack of detail on the leg peg, but I wanted to show off my custom VF-1AJ! LOL!
  24. If you're talking about these tabs, I've never been able to fit the shoulder hinge over them, on any of my 1/48s. Do what Zentrandude said and lock the pegs on the inner legs into the recessed holes on the forearm just behind the wrist.
