  1. Any chance you're gonna update the site, or are you stuck focusing all your time on that 1/1 scale Mazda custom?
  2. Very cool Moose, is it based on an existing 12" toy or is it all custom?
  3. Those things look awesome, in a hideous 70's toy kinda way. Wish I'd seen that auction, those things are definately worth more than $10 if they're that old, imo. Reminds me of the new new "retro" vinyl Gundam toys, about $6 inches tall, very very limited poseability and they sell for around $50 new. Vinyl toy collecting is a pretty big and expensive hobby.
  4. Hasegawa has Minmay Guard battroid coming out sometime this month, check out the HLJ listing here.
  5. And despite wrapping things up so nicely, people will forever be asking "What happens to Hikaru and Misa after they leave on the Megaroad?" Over. And over. Again. But Kawamori definately pulled the Flashback 2012 thing off alright, he didn't have to resort to a Tomino-style Char's Counterattack and kill them all off.
  6. They can jump pretty high, but I don't recall seeing them flying. Anybody else seen them fly or not? Graham I think you're right Graham, I only remember the Regults doing large jumps on in atmosphere. Heck, even Battlecry didn't put flying Regults.
  7. Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough, but I definately meant that comment as a joke. I spent a lot of time in RPG fandom, I know that not everybody is an overweight nerd with social problems, I know that stereotypes aren't true. But.. it was a joke, so don't take it to seriously. I could have mentioned that whole murder case thing, but I didn't.
  8. Only one of those series I really comment on is Nadesico, which is a pretty good series. I remember being a little surprised though, as it seemed to start off like a comdey/parody and then quickly turned into a serious show. I'd say forget about Gundam Wing and go for the good stuff, the original Gundam series. But the TV DVDs are dubbed-only, so you should pick up the movies. Shorter, quicker, easier and most of the 70's robot anime-cheese is gone. Plus it'll set you up nicely for the upcoming Z Gundam, which is _awesome_.
  9. Very cool but... I wish my DVD player coudl play region 3 DVDs. Another reason to buy a region-free DVD player I guess.
  10. And thus the poor abused Goth kids of the world will have to find their daily amount of "angst" somewhere else. What, no more LARPing!?
  11. In Japan, my friend spent his last 300yen on one of those, but it was for a crab in the middle of an arcade. Don't think anyone would have cooked it for him, but doesn't matter, he lost anyways. In San Jose there's a Japanese supermarket with a Kinokuniya (or some other Japanese bookstore) attached to it, thats almost as cool as toys.
  12. Seriously, haven't you heard of the SUPER RARE Korean issues? They're really, really rare.
  13. I like how he calls them "clones," but I suppose that's better than "bootleg." Maybe if someone has a big family, it'd make cheap Christmas presents for 24 of your favorite nieces and nephews... I need to stop responding to all of Kanata's threads. <_<
  14. I'd love to see them Kanata, post them up when you finish.
  15. Egan Loo said something to the effect that the designs in the show were being based off already created designs, thus HAL won't be involed in this one, or at least not very much. Much in the same way Kawamori isn't involved in this one in regards to story because it's being based on material that has already been created. I dunno how that works since it's supposed to be the "official" story of Space War 1, but hey, whatever...
  16. It probably will be, Square isn't as conservative with their releases over here as they were in the SNES days. I guess it's doubtful with the PSOne re-release of FM1, but they might port the Wonderswan version of FM1 to the GBA. But... I should just pick it up for WS anyways.
  17. I gotta say that I've been very happy with these toys. I've had mine for a few days and I'm still finding new articulation (maybe I wasn't looking hard enough before ). Never picked up any previous Toynami products, but they definately made good on this one. How long until we get Southern Cross super poseables?
  18. Not to be a jerk, but I gotta agree on the Matrix thing with white drew. Regardless, they're still very nice wallpapers, and with my rotating backgrounds (one of the coolest things about OS X ) I can never have enough Macross backgrounds!
  19. Interesting Kanata, not a big Spawn myself but customs are always cool. I really like the exhuasts on the Destroid, gives it kind of a Mad Max-style look.
  20. Which makes a lot of sense given how often Kawamori has obviously based his variable fighter designs on real-world aircraft. Although maybe it's just be but doesn't it seem like those big delta wings would be a hinderance when transforming?
  21. Gunbuster, where'd you find those posters?
  22. Nice work Firefox. I love the Elintseeker background.
  23. According to Egan Loo at MW Con 3, the game is going to be the "definitive" version of Space War 1. So wherever there may be doubt as to what actually happened when comparing DYRL and the TV series, this is what "really" happened.
  24. Very cool diorama, what scale is it?
  25. I totally agree, but the seller's job is to sell. It sucks though, but... buyer beware. Most I overpaid was $95 for an original Bandai VF-19S back in '98 or so. Maybe thats what they were going for, but after I got it... I sure felt like I overpaid.
