  1. I think they were reissued last year for the 20th Anniversary, so they shouldn't be too hard to find. Just keep an eye out on eBay, HLJ, all the usual online places....
  2. Link Basically a bunch of different vendors for all sorts of collectibles, open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
  3. So you're going for the Fast & The Furious approach, eh BSU? If you're going for the no talent approach, you can't leave out Keanu Reeves. If you do, he might think he's actually good...
  4. Looks like the sketches that usually come with animation cels. Don't know the exact term for them, but I think they're intended for the animators to "trace."
  5. The Front Mission games are renkown for having their menus in English, makes them quite easy to import. If you're interested on giving Front Mission another shot, you can find the translation patch here. Very fun game overall.
  6. Seems hard to find "official" VF-1S Max pictures, I quickly looked on google and the only decent thing I could find was this, but that's just somebody's custom. My guess is just use Max's VF-1A scheme from DYRL and put a 1S head on it
  7. Not to dig up an old topic, but The MagicBox just posted a ton of new Front Mission 4 screens here. Overall I'm not too impressed, looks really similar to FM2 and FM3, but without the color of FM3. Overall the graphic quality seems lacking (well, it is the PS2...) but they are pretty small pictures. Here's hoping for a western release....
  8. I remember watching the series every Saturday morning, pretty cool. I'm guessing the creators grew up watching Robotech because there are a lot of parallels between ExoSquad and Robotech/Macross. The re-release of the Robotech toys by Playmates, well, I dunno exactly why they did it it although I've heard speculation that it was a cheap way to expand their toy line. FYI, they didn't just re-release the Destroids. They also released stuff like the Invid Trooper, the Zentraedi Male Power Armor and maybe the Hovertank and Veritech Fighter? I don't remember exactly.
  9. That Monster is amazing, some other really cool models as well. I remember the AMA website, too bad it hadn't been updated in almost three years.
  10. I tried replying earlier to this post but the server timed out. Anyways, I found the 1/144th kits to be fun but a little lacking in detail. Pretty good poseability and I liked the fighter modes. Not bad for something cheap and fun, and with the Tect add-on parts, it seems like they'd be very cool. The only 1/100th scale kit I built was a VF-19Kai, which was a so-so kit. I was disapointed because despite being transformable, you had to swap out parts. Not as cool as I had hoped, also seemed a bit flimsy. As for non-Bandai Macross 7 kits, I have a non-scale Kaiyodo VF-19S that I bought from Blackaces at MW Con3, but I haven't gotten a chance to build it yet. The parts are pretty though.
  11. He said it was from Animage, a Japanese anime magazine. Issue 11 to be exact. Can't help on the cover image though.
  12. I'd definately like to pick one up if it was recasted, looks like a cool kit. Although, is it just me or do the legs look way too scrawny for the big shoulders? Has a sorta Gundam Sentintel thing going on.
  13. Is that swing bar a custom piece, or did you just sand it down?
  14. Ahh, sounds like fun. Maybe something to work my way up to...
  15. That hand mod looks awesome Jason, any idea what you're going to use for hands? BTW, how hard was that hand mod to pull off, I'm assuming it's mostly cutting and a little bit of drilling?
  16. Have a thing for scruffy men, Bob? Very cool picture though, a lot of movement. Is that his TV uniform? I can't tell...
  17. Looks really good. Glad to see more customs around here.
  18. Cool colors. I'm guessing thats a 1/100th VF-19Kai you customized?
  19. Egan Loo mentioned the book at MWCon3, he gave the impression that it was still forth coming. So don't give up hope yet!
  20. Thats a good point, but all the same since nothing has been announced through news circuits and all we have to go on is a release date that might or might not be old, I'm thinking it's doubtful it'll be released. Also consider that Inu Yasha, Dragonball Z and Gundam are all still on TV and popular, whereas Macross is not. It's not likely to sell very much at all, assuming it is released.
  21. That disfigured Spawn head you through on makes it look like some battle-scarred Zentraedi. Pretty cool.
  22. Very cool piece, you did a good job of making it look like it was done with real water colors. Very cool, can't wait to see more from you.
  23. For the past couple of weeks I've been working on a website for Macross World members who create fan works, toy customs, model kits or 3d models. I've noticed that a lot of these creative MW members don't have the know-how or time to create their own websites for hosting their art, and instead are forced to link to back pages or upload pictures in the test forum. My site allows MW members to create their own image galleries and upload their own images which they can use as hosting space, or simply a location to show off their art. All of the pictures are uploaded by the members through a web-interface (similar to the MW forums), and also allows them to write descriptions of their artwork and include any notes. The site is hosted on my own server, and is free to any MW members. No annoying pop-up ads or banners, no chronic Geocities downtime. Basically it's just a way of giving something to the MW community, with the hopes that people will continue to produce more awesome fan creations. I won't ramble on too much, and a picture is worth a thousand words so check out the website itself here. If you're interested in getting an account, PM me with the user name you'd like and I'll shoot you a PM back once you're registered with more info about the site. Remember, the site isn't just for fan artists! Any type of fan creation (toy customs, model kits, 3d models) are welcome. Thanks
  24. Can you show an example? Photoshop has all sorts of filters which can make photos look they were were painted... or done with colored penicl, or pastels or whatever.
  25. Thejoints issue could easily be remedied by putting on one of those cool kung fu jackets like Bruce wore at the beginning to Enter The Dragon.
