I had a 1:48 scale F-14A Tomcat model kit which I had the super talented MWF member Lancelot build up for me in Macross Zero - Shin Kudo colors! Looks amazing! He did an incredible job! I can't remember what brand of kit it was (Revell) but it had been sitting in storage for a considerable number of years until being dug out earlier this year. So rather than binning it or attempting a build myself I passed it on to someone who could do a proper job and here is the end result! Yes I know the variant isn't quite correct but its close enough and im stoked at the finished product! Here are some pics for everyone to enjoy!

I became so obsessed with the Aliens movie that of my nearly 40 years of life I have seen that movie hundreds of times! Im guessing somewhere around 500 or more times! And that is the honest to god truth! The situation escalated to serious once they released the directors cut edition with all the added deleted scenes and I went in to Aliens overdrive! I was able to recite that movie exactly word for word!- 352 replies

Alien turtles!? silly but I kinda like that idea! The new movie was pretty horrendous though. But Megan Fox kinda tickles my fancy strangely enough..

Awesome! Cant wait to see the finished result! Oh and just remember to think of me if by chance you ever consider selling this lovely thing!

you can still find both available for purchase but on a price basis the Bandai is pretty hard to pass by. I know there are a few Arcadia's available on Jungle but they aren't listed as new or sealed items but you can get the Bandai brand new on NY for example for the same money as a "B" rated used item on Jungle. To many that would make perfect sense of which one to get. On a visual stand point I still prefer the chunkiness of the Arcadia but its shonky ankles and sparse surface details compared to the Bandai really let it down. Im glad I have both to enjoy for each their own good and bad points.

wow!!! finally together! looks insane! So you are going to paint it after re-printing the corrected parts and internals yes?

I don't think Boeing would be fussed at all about ever restarting 757 production especially seeing it ended so long ago and its not a new design by any means. Besides they have enough on their plate with their current projects and 737, 777, 767, 787 & 747-8 production.

my girlfriend brought me a copy of Coldplay's new album "A Head Full Of Dreams" and its quite good! I have always like these guys especially their last few albums. To the Coldplay haters out there.. woteva! hehe!

not the prettiest of Jags but still a tough engine note!

hehe! very cool! I wish I had been able to get my son into some type of motorsport but sadly his mum (my ex) simply wouldn't allow it..

I wonder if Boeing has considered re-starting production.. but then they would have to have guaranteed orders in significant quantities to justify the costs involved. Even the last examples produced are now over a decade old and these things would be accumulating a sh!t load of flying hours/cycles being what they are. And yes I'd imagine the scramble for these things would be pretty crazy then!

I often feel the very same way about it myself. Never been a big fan of that nose and the wide side by side cockpit setup but it has grown on me somewhat. Still some days i dont mind it and other days i dont care for it.
