  1. pre-ordering the new 19 was soooo much easier than this... they S%$# we're willing to do.
  2. I'm guessing HLJ or Ami Ami will have it too?
  3. Is this official then, 3 Feb (Monday) for the preorder?
  4. Chapter 8-3 can have trouble getting the boss fight to trigger. Had to try it 3 times to get it to move along.
  5. Yeah, I gotta get this Valk. It'll be my first 29 so hopefully it'll be easy to get.
  6. I can totally understand this logic. I do a lot of model kits and mods but for some reason I haven't found the courage to tackle valkyries. I think the price tag that goes with them deters me for some reason.
  7. Playing devils advocate, if they're still running with prototype models for proofing, would they really bother to add decals? I'm hoping the answer is 'no' which would imply more tampo printing.
  8. Well said Exo.
  9. Yarrrr matey!
  10. I really liked the first heavily tinted canopy seen on the prototype but this new offering (if that's what they actually go with) will still look good IMO. You'll be able to see Isamu this way while still retaining the cool factor of added tint to the canopy.
  11. Is it just me, or does the battroid head have some kind of flip down visor?
  12. Any idea on when the preorder will be? I don't have a 29 yet, and I'm not missing this one.
  13. Pumps 'n boobs on a Valk. Riiigghhttttt...........
  14. Goose approves this message.
  15. Like a lot of the guys who have already chimed in, I had one of the VF-0S valks. It looked friggin' awesome but was really floppy and disappointing as a whole. If I were going to buy one of the old Zero valks today, I would try to find one of the 'Unknown Soldier' releases as they were apparently the best of the zero valks in terms of build quality. Hopefully, Arcadia will deliver a new line of Zero valks as I'd love to get a redesigned and solid VF-0S some day.
  16. I'm digging this canopy color too. I think it'll blend with the black spine markings of the 19 nicely. Is it April yet?
  17. I love the grey version. I'd buy that for sure. Not sure about buying the blue scheme however.
  18. I'm putting my bet on a VF-0D as a new VF-14 would seem to me to be a bit outta left field. I personally hope that this leads to a new VF-0S redesign.
  19. I think that you really have to love Macross to be willing to pay the cost for what some of these toys are going for. I grew up with Robotech on TV in the eighties. Hell, I even think it played as a factor in me joining the army so it's kinda in my blood so to speak. Following some of the old 1:48 purchases, I got back into Macross valk collecting right in the middle of the great Yamato bankruptcy BS craze and I've paid through the teeth for some of - though not all - my valks, IE: the VF-4G for starters. I have a specialist job in the military so I can afford these things for the most part, but man, sometimes I wonder just as to why these things are so damn expensive and as to how they can possibly command the prices that they do. Yeah, yeah all the unlicensed, North American imported stuff aside, PT Macross valk collecting continues to be one hell of an expensive undertaking. First World problems right? The new Arcadia YF-19 is no exception to this reality. I pre-ordered this baby like many of you on this forum but I've got my fingers crossed that it turns out to be a solid release. If it's not, it might force me to reassess the wads of cash that I blow on this hobby. Thankfully, the for sale thread on this very forum is normally choked with really good deals from members who aren't out to merely scalp valks at inflated prices. Just thinking of the alternative of shopping on evilbay for valks makes me cringe.
  20. I think that this is just a case of the settings and/or monitor that you're using to view the images. My laptop and Ipad at home make the pieces in question look grey while my work monitor makes the same pieces look purplish. I'm confident that the coloring process will check out in the end. Fingers crossed.

  22. If you're just starting out, I'd suggest writing down the top 5 valks that you really want and in whatever scale and then go try and lock 'em down. Scour evil bay and keep an eye on the for sale threads here on MW. This is probably the best place to find that one rare Valk that you can't live without. You just have to be patient. That said... I never follow my own advice as I look around my man cave... Yamato valks, check. Hot Toys colonial marines, check. Albion Conan sword, check. Hobbies like these and especially Macross valks can get outta hand if you don't stay grounded.
  23. Nice shots Plastik. Love those ghosts.
  24. That Bandai 1:72 looks pretty good. Is there a pilot figure included too?
