  1. I love the metal color (diecast) on the thrusters. Such an awesome mix of Chogokin, Transformer, and Gundam. Tracks looks great. So much love and fun in this toy.
  2. Since the mold is done I hope the turn around time is before the end of the year... maybe even late summer?
  3. Great stuff david. If I ever had a bunch of spare money and nothing to buy I'd go back and buy boxed G1's. They worked so well as art on their own.
  4. Paying for mine tonight. Holding til march though
  5. PO CANCELLED! ARCADIA IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER! SOOOO LAZY!!!
  6. You're not, you're just a hoarder haha
  7. Never liked the 29. Not a very interesting palate of colors... and I love blue and orange. Maybe dark blue and orange with some light blue hi-lights. Milking that mold!!!
  8. Or we're just ignoring the obvious. All the detail and love that Yamato put into their later release V2's played into their ultimate demise. It's a constant trade off between quality and a going market price that people will pay. If you want custom painted pieces that fit your idea of what is good you have to pay somebody to do it. That said, Arcadia should do small run made to order versions for people who will pay more for a limited unique piece. It's a market niche they could look into.
  9. You are right, it is a heavy niche. All the more reason to save money as the market of people who will buy it compared to transformers is infinitely smaller. They could spend weeks mixing colors to appease a small vocal minority, or use a color that is fairly accurate (which changes in the anime from frame to frame mind you) and get their product out. People aren't factoring in if they have a blue and need it darker they have to buy more paint and mix it all. $5-10 dollars more per piece could make the price a lot higher. You don't see weathered intricate paint jobs on toys for a reason. Also, This is basically a new mold. They are $150 for a few split seconds, but people pay $200+ And the special versions with super parts (The ugly purple bat looking one) are $200+. You can compare aftermarket prices, as that's the going rate people were and are still willing to pay. Arcadia got to eat. Nothing ridiculous about opportunity cost. The Arcadia VF-1's had some lack of paint detail, but they don't have any major QA issues. The YF-19 had some minor problems but nothing compared to the insta loose joints, breaking shoulders, and snapping parts.
  10. Got my HLJ notification. $270 for this Valk is a great price IMO. I remember the old VF-0's going for more than that before and during the great Yammie collapse of 2013. Hell, I sold my Roy VF-0 for $350 when I heard this was coming out. Considering people pay $250 for the QA mess that is the Bandi Valk... I don't get why people are saying it's so expensive for what's on offer and the diecast. Obviously, the weak yen is helping that price but that's the bottom line at the moment. It's not going to get any cheaper. I know the color is probably an excuse for some, but it is a mask market toy and not a model, so it can't be 100% accurate if it's to be made at all.
  11. You know, you could always buy a model kit... haha. They are a lot cheaper. Nice pics! Love the box art.
  12. Meh.. I might keep mine stored until Exhaust and Starsaber come out. Might be a few weeks for me.
  13. Nothing from HLJ yet
  14. Some pics that haven't been seen before: http://imgur.com/a/fAKaf
  15. Looks like the TRU Starscream is finally coming.
  16. I enjoyed last weeks episode. Very funny. It's got more of a crime noir feel with Saul trying to figure things out.
  17. I am a breaking Bad fan. But I don't want a 1/6th Walter haha
  18. Thanks. The Asia release is a great release in terms of fit, tight joints and finish. It's better than the original bright Hasbro release. My original Hasbro had pretty loose feet. With the coin and stand it's a decent value. I think I sold my Stand Separately for $30, and the coin goes for close to that too.
  19. Yeah I sold mine or I would help. It was super expensive. I did a review on it though: I don't think I ever got the trailer out.
  20. http://toynewsi.com/ig.php?mode=view&album=2015_New_York_Toy_Fair%2FToynami&pic=00_2015_NYTF_Toynami28.jpg&dispsize=600&start=0&sl=24255 Head is massive. If the chest was bigger.. head was smaller I'd be a lot more interested. The legs look great. Looks like an Animated Cartoon Network version. Not crazy about the proportions but it's cool that they are doing something with the licenses.
  21. I'm confused. Do you mean the Hasbro Asia re-issue of MP-10 in the Takara colors?? The Takara Re-issue isn't out yet.
  22. The guy is so boss haha. He's making the show for sure.
  23. I was a little skeptical about watching this show, as I don't know a lot of good Movie to Television conversions, not to mention it's on Network TV and I assumed it would be too tame. I am also not a big fan of Dexter as I found the premise absurd. It seems to be playing to the fans of Dexter and True Detective, but I think its better than both just because of the depth of story that already existed previously. BUT, I really enjoy the show. Mostly because of the psychology talk, the elaborate murder setups, and the character/actor of Hannibal himself. Plenty of gore for network TV thankfully. Apparently they are going to use the show to re-shoot previous movies like The Red Dragon and even Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal, which should be really exciting. I also have to say it's probably the best role for Laurence Fishburne in ages.
  24. I kind of hope they trolled everybody and did different colors by batches.
  25. Totally. It's fairly simplistic but hits all the right notes. I'm sure they cut a lot of things to make it fit the movie running time but I really enjoyed it. Music was great too.
