Not a huge Orgus fan, but I dig it. In Robot mode at least.

Eh, that's another coat of paint in a different color. Probably a lot of money for as many units as they are making for slight different shade.

Loved the opening scenes. It's just dirty enough, but still kinda whacky. Just happy to be back in town honestly.

I think it's also a bit hypocritical for people to criticize the bastardization of an old Japanese story for the purposes of Hollywood. Anime itself rehashes and bastardizes old ideas from Japanese culture and uses it for it's own end. I can see the point that Keanu wasn't need as a mongrel halfbreed, but at the same time it added another level to the love story that wouldn't have been there.

They should just do made to order runs for non popular Valks. That would ensure that people in the hobby with an interest got one, and then in 5 years it would be amazingly rare. Charge more and make your money. Collectors would get the rare stuff they want, Arcadia would turn a profit, and it would ensure collectiability.

Bandai Gobots/Machine Robo Series Toy Thread

That giant expensive Fewture Optimus prime's is 3rd party, licensed. Same for that big non-transforming scorponok thing. Honestly, I think Third party is a poor description for unlicensed products like Maketoys and such. If a software company took the basic chunks of code from a gaming engine and used it to make their own game it wouldn't be third party, it would just be theft... but independent. Not that I'm arguing that Maketoys and such are thieves like KO's, or not that I am against it - but it just seems like a bad description based on what we use the term third party for. I'm getting away from my own argument to make my point but.... ....I think it should just be called "Indie" or "unlicensed" to avoid confusion. People love their shorthand so UL Transformers would be the best tag for it. Third party to me, suggests granted access, which isn't what's happening. These companies are just creating their own designs, though taking the core concept from something they didn't create, because it's almost impossible to enforce the "idea" of a robot....(at least not on the scale of variety that Transformers bring to the table) though I feel like an IP lawyer could do it in this day and age. -
Guess those basra guitars still aren't sold out

I finally saw this film and I have to say... not sure why everybody hated on it so hard. It's easily as good as any marvel film, if not better than a few. From all the bad press I expected a terrible murky mess, but I actually enjoyed every moment. It was a little slow, but the story was well told and the visuals were so rich I didn't mind at all. Very underrated.

Wait.. was Rise of the Cobra the one with giant recoil-less rifle that shot the big spears? I just kinda remember the Rock running around. But yeah, any movie will bring toys of all spectrums. Cheapo kids ones. and then higher end ones to make money off peoples raised perceptions. I mean, we all know the movies going to suck.... unless they approached it like they did with "All you need is kill", which I doubt they would be smart enough to do. We're all happy Akira was never touched by Hollywood right?

I think Zero has it's appeal. If that live action Robotech movie ever comes out there will be plenty of love to go around, kind of like how the Transformers movies made TF's a money machine.

Oh for sure. I love the semi-realistic look of the 0's. I don't really collect frontier, or plus/7 - so this is my bag baby Maybe the new TV show will have some cool mech designs.
