    Knocking holes in buildings... and knocking skyscrapers down is two different things. The collateral damage isn't a huge issue for me, but all the people inside the buildings changes the equation. If he knocks somebody through a building somebody might get hurt, but if he topples a giant skyscraper thousands of people will die. I really enjoyed the massive scale of the damage to a degree. I've always thought Superman needs a more epic scope in his battles, but his morals and powers need to come into play to protect the innocent. Again, it comes down to lazy writing. Why not have Zod and Supes smash up a building, and then have Supes realize people are dying in his wake and fly the fight out to an industrial sector or something.

    Nah, I don't make enough to be a dealer. haha. But when you move and box things up it's a good perspective. Things I want to take out of the box I keep, things I don't, I feel like I should sell. haha.

    Think I'm going to sell my Medicom Harlock if anybody is interested. Not going for the HT one either as I don't like it, but it just doesn't fit with my collection atm.

    I agree with everything TwoDucks said. The point isn't just that Supes kills Zod so violently, (and yes there is a big difference between pushing a guy off a smokey cliff where you can't see the bottom and the feeling of triumph in that scene, and snapping a guys neck in cold blood and screaming about how he didn't want to make the choice.) It is all the other events that lead up to that murder. If Superman agonized over the choice some... maybe while taking an ass beating, or giving some sort of conflicted emotion... it would be a totally different film. I think what you people miss is that Superman is a man who can do anything, but he always does the right thing. The whole tone of the new film set Superman up as just a confused force of nature who is pissed off and emo about everything. The act of killing Zod isn't the main point, it's just the breaking point. Superman could have subdued Zod, especially in that position. And he could have easily used all that random alien technology that just happen to be on Earth to put him in prison. Hell, The ship he came on was his "Prison", wasn't it? They fixed it up to travel around looking for Supes. And yes, the Donner Superman could have thrown Zod in prison too, but it was a totally different film from start to finish. It also doesn't excuse a shitty choice for this film, because that film had some plot holes. But honestly, if they really made this bullocks ultimate choice to fight forever and never give up with limitless reserves of power... why isn't Superman smart enough to just kill him right away to save all those lives? If he knew he had no choice, why not make the choices 20 minutes earlier? It's not like he tried to talk him out of it. Again... no morals or themes about who Superman really IS... just two dudes wailing on each other. I agree with Twoducks that it was just lazy writing. It's not a horrible film, but it's not a very good Superman film. It's a misuse of the character to satisfy the fanboy's notion of Nolan's Batman.

    Really? Put his palm over his eyes. He's frakking Superman and he's invulnerable. Put him in a headlock and fly up out of the building. He's frakking Superman and he's super strong... plus he had the guys back, thus leverage and control. Punch him in the side of the face. Break the floor open and fall into it while using Zod's face as landing material. That would be fun. Tell the people to get the frakk out of the way while he punches him in the side of the head. Spin around and take the blast on his chest. He's frakking Superman and he's invulnerable. Pull his ears and make him go "ouch." I think the point here is that in Donner's film Zod was a war criminal. He came to Earth, took over the world and tried to enslave everybody. Superman had been Superman for a long time already and saved countless innocents. He even made a point to leave the fight to save people and fight him at the north pole. Zod was clearly the bad guy. It's not so much that Superman doesn't kill, he has, but he rarely does. It's that this was Superman's first act when fighting a guy who wasn't completely evil.. and he'd already let thousands of people be murdered? Why not just kill him right out? It was just a bridge too far for somebody who always TRIES to do the right thing.

Gotta agree, (well I already did.) haha "So if you loved the Christopher Reeves era Superman movies, but wish they'd made them less hopeful, killed countless civilians, visualized our worst fears of urban terrorism, and had Superman overcome his first villain by murdering him with his bare hands, DC has made the reboot for you, psycho!"

    I agree. I think Slag should be smaller. I'd rather see them in scale to mp08 and about the same size as prime, than have them bigger and a funky looking Grimlock. But FT are good about feedback so hopefully they will see.
