  1. Still don't like the design. To feathery and human like. It's like they took inspiration from the pretender line... which is terrible. But then again none of the movie designs are worth a damn haha. That's a good jetfire toy though. Best one made so far.
  2. Haha. I have MK 1 and War Machine. I'm pretty specific about what I like, though so I'm not too worried. There are a lot of suits that don't do it for me. The only other piece I want is the Silver cent. (which I have PO'd) And if they rework V or VI with diecast I might jump in. But thank for the warning
  3. Wow. The new grimlock design looks like utter crap. haha
  4. Well, considering I can get a Hot toys, or most of one for $200 with some awesome detail. I'll take that over a frontier valk any day But I have to qualify it and say that's just my expectations and my wants. I'm sure some people think they are the bee's knees.
  5. Search for sold prices. My RVF sold for $145? I sold my Alto for $190 or 200 here.
  6. I see them on japanese sights all the time, or here on the buy/sell/trade, though some people still ask too much haha. And yeah people are ASKING for more on ebay. But if you put a valk up for $100 bucks and let people bid, they aren't going to pay those prices.
  7. I can tell you why I sold mine. 1. They are poorly made. They joints get loose after one transformation. Sloppy. 2. They are poorly painted. Lack of decent paint apps for a $200+ toy. (No fuselage paint or standard show markings) 3. QA issues. The 171 left a bad taste in my mouth with the triangle auto-destruct, and the scratches. 4. Overpaying for PO's and then having the valks be $30-40 bucks cheaper after market. Pump and Dump. 5. Supers and armors are too hard to get a hold of. $200 to upgrade Alto or Ozama so they can look how they should look? F that. Personal reasons: 1. I have no huge emotional attachment to either the show or the frontier valk design. I enjoyed the OVA but I'm not otaku for it or anything. I love the fighter mode, but the battroid legs are a bit too bell shaped for my tastes and cause a goofy look. And I am REALLY not crazy about the torso. Everything from the VF-11 design onward goes for the uniboob, or uniboob fold and I'm not keen on it. Just fold the front of the jet down please. 2. I didn't enjoy the transformation. Though it's not super difficult, it isn't super fun either. The 171 is an exercise in frustration. Overly complicated and poorly flush engineering. 3. For me, they are not fun to handle in battroid (See point 1) which is my favorite mode. I would pick it up and get pissed off with it. Even with the tons of articulation over the VF-1 Yam/Arc, with the loose joints you're not getting anything special in that department IMO. 4. It pisses me off when they market it as a chogokin, when it has no more diecast than a Yamato really. I sort of want a Ozama when they renewal it.. but again, finding the armor parts is another $200 bucks and hard to find. Shrug. I'd rather focus on SDF and Zero. My two favorite shows and keep my collection more uniform. I'd rather spend $160 or so on a rareish Yamato piece than throw down $200 for a junkie bandai valk. You're not going to get $250 unless they are just a rube. I got about $200 for my Alto, and $140ish for my RVF-25 and just broke even or lost $10 bucks. Maybe in a year when all the renewal re-issues are cleaned out, but the only one going for a lot is Ozama
  8. Screw this guy. If he's too lazy to read the source material he shouldn't be calling it Akira.
  9. Uploading a video review of the T-rex/Sent power suit for anybody who wants to see
  10. Oh, a V1 Scopedog. $70 is about right
  11. I think it's a little early to nitpick... the CAD drawings aren't even complete
  12. Thought I might like the 3a Mazinger but... it looks odd standing out on it's on. Feet are too big.
  13. Idk... $300 isn't a great price.. haha. The TC's are good toys but double the price is steep considering the shipping will probably be 40 bucks or so.
  14. Wow.. I'm kind of blown away on how involved the transformation on this Metamor Force Dino Getter is.... I know it's not a transformer brand... but it's a transforming dinosaur robot.. so close enough. Pretty excited. I think this.. FT Slag, and the Star Saber release will be the best transformers of the year. (If Saber comes out)
  15. Can't wait to open my Power suit. Also, check out how involved the transformation of this Metamor Getter is. I really thought it would be one of those fall over and twist deals.
  16. Made me fall in love with mecha and anime again. My SOC getter is my first modern toy that got me into collecting again. love it
  17. Says the guy with 3 low viz's
  18. Everybody want the D!
  19. Anybody snag this: http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r110858171 Super Ost for $150 bucks. Minor scraping on the tail.
  20. The VF-0 has a distinctive look over the VF-1. It's a much more classic looking plane in my mind, where as the VF-1 has an 80's modern feel. Idk if the old toys brought it out just right but you can see it in Tenjin art. But yea they suppose to be similar.
  21. Thanks! I was playing around earlier and took some shots of this very likely brawl.
