  1. Personally I have a much rougher time with the customer support from TFSource. I had to contact them several times for one issue (lost package and broken part right out of the box). For the broken part I sent them the first mail immediately after I got the toy early December. Several mails later in March I finally got a mail that the replace parts only in a specific time frame after I received the package (which is perfectly fine) so I had to mail them again saying that my first mail was sent in December. After that they sent me the part free of charge. With the missing package I was able to get it 9 month later but I received it. In that case I also had to sent them several mails until I got a response of the current situation. I sent them maybe one mail every week for several weeks until I finally got a status update. I have to emphasis that TFSource was able to sort out both of the issues so from that side it is fine however with shops like BBTS or HLJ I get a response from their customer support max 24h after I contacted them and they also resolved the issues I had every time.
  2. Quick question. Is there a chance to order the reissue of the Metal Build Destiny?
  3. It seem like the arms on their Bonecrusher and Scavanger break rather easily (see 1st post): http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/1048783-toyworld-constructor-devastator-constructicons.html According to daimchoc replacement parts will be included with TW-C04.
  4. I wonder if any one at Bandai knows about how fast they are selling and how much the mark-up is on the aftermarket. It puzzles me that there is no one noticing how much more units they could sell (this goes for Macross too).
  5. I find the Transformers division of Takara totally strange. On the one hand they are crazy about the consistency of their toys where it goes to an extreme in the UW line, giving their Computron the same Hand Feet Guns (HFG) than the rest of the UW releases. On the other hand in their collector focused line (Masterpiece) they are unable to release the bots with the same design decisions and aesthetics. They have prove to be able to release high quality collectibles with their Alternity line (my favorite toys from Takara) yet they are unable to incorporate the same qualities into Masterpiece Transformers. I doesn't make any sense to me.
  6. Thanks, got the confirmation mail from HLJ. That was fairly enjoyable.
  7. I'm fairly certain that MP Magnus and Hot Rodimus don't have their own Matrices because in Takaras weird head cannon there can be only one Matrix and not multiple. So if MP-10 has a Matrix MP-22 can't also have one. Same goes for the omission of the clear left fist on MP Laserwave because the toy clearly never had two hands while the animators gave cartoon Laserwave two hands... ..don't get me started on the fact that all MP carbots have to fit in Convoys trailer for some obscure reason!!! Japan is so weird.
  8. I don't get the sticker thing. In none of my thought experiments this makes any sense.
  9. I finally got a chance to inspect my copy of Arcadias VF-4G today after I received it earlier this week. Besides a few scuffs in the right shoulder block no major issues in the paint and surface department. So this would be my fifth Arcadia Valkyrie without issues out of the box (VF-1S Focker, YF-19, VF-1J GBP, VF-0S and the VF-4g) vs. the three that had issues (VF-1S Hikaru (missing tail-fin light), VF-0D (intake warnings misaligned, one thruster was not attached) and VF-0A (scuffs and paint scratches out of the box)). I don't know if their quality control is increased over the old Yamato toys. Some issues remain with the VF-4G though. The angle joints are loose (It can still hold a standing still pose), the knees are loose as well as the shoulder joints (in some angles they offer no friction at all). It is a nice toy and took the place of my SoC Gunbuster on my desk so I can look at it some more. The transformation is great and I adore the engineering Mr. K put into this Valkyrie. I still don't understand why they didn't include the beefier, articulated manipulators in the base Valkyrie but oh well. The limited arm posability is there but probably an issue of the design. One quick question. Are the small doors on the rear landing gears supposed to slide up? I can't seem to get them to fold out and I'm also unable to slide them up and then fold them out. Some advice on that would be appreciated.
  10. Did I do it right? http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/to?iso=20160401T16&p0=248&msg=Exia+Preorder+Start&font=sanserif&csz=1
  11. I'm on board for the Fans Toys Grinder because I collect their Dinobots. If you don't want to go down that rabbit hole or care for the Masterpiece aesthetic I would go with Planet X Vulcun if you need a single representation of Grimlock and you want it now. I wouldn't go with the two combiner torsos since they have to many compromises and you have to pay for engineering and parts that you will never use. The FansProject one is ok but the company had a major drop in quality, fit and finish and engineering after their first three Function X releases so their Dinobots are not that stellar. [edit:] There are also a few other options: Gigapower is doing also Dinobots but they only released Guttur (Snarl) so it might take a while till they get to Grimlock or die along the way. There is Warbotron WB03-F which is a companion piece for their Computron combiner (image courtesy of tformers.com): If you like SD dinosaurs you might also be happy with Tiny Rex. He is a bit pricey for what he is but maybe he is the right Grimlock for you (image courtesy of tfw2005.com): There is also a review by peaugh if you want to check him out:
  12. So yes to camping the preorder sites in the middle of the night?
  13. Is it a general release or a webshop exclusive. If it is a webshop exclusive. Will NY or other middle man shops carry it?
  14. No they don't. But they are around 1/60ish. You can check out jenius' site (anymoon.com/blog/) for scale measurements and comparisons with the Yamato/Arcadia Valkyries: That said they look good together but don't mix well with Yamato/Arcadia Valkyries. Also the DX Chogokin X Robot Damashii Koenig Monster doesn't scale with the DX Valkyries.
  15. Probably. I can't think of a reason why not since the A is identical to the S sans the head turret.

    Bandai DX VF-31

    Take a look here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=43115&p=1252125
  17. I agree. I think MMCs Sphinx is the amalgamation of everything I want to have in the MP line. Can't wait for their Backdraft. I would wished for MP Magnus and MP Star Saber for a $50 higher budget. They would be awesome. Instead they are just good toys (well Magnus at least). That said I picked up a big box from HLJ today with Legends Sprung, Super Mode Armada Starscream and MP Hot Rodimus and Ironhide. It will take some time to put them through all their paces.
  18. Charles' reviews of the MB Red Frame and Flight Unit are up:

    Hi-Metal R

The HRM Roy preorders where opened a long time ago. It is a Tamashii Webshop Exclusive so you have to go through a middle man. NY has them still available but no pay later option: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/14320-hi-metal-r-vf-1s-strike-valkyrie-roy-focker-special-limited-edition.html
  20. Finally Takara gives us Computron with a fitting head: Seems like it will include heavily remolded versions of Rook, Breakdown, Groove and Blast-Off. More images over at TFW (http://news.tfw2005.com/2016/03/28/takara-unite-warriors-computron-mold-first-look-312013)
