    I agree. FT's version is svelte, and while the engineering to get there may be quite a feat, Wardog's chunkiness fits his alt mode better and has more appeal to me. As far as the reveals go, I'm definitely liking where MMC's Bruticus is going and their Sky Lynx looks like it's going to get along real well with my Feral Rex. Ooh, and Hoodlum is finally coming-good times!

    Yeah, the kit doesn't seem to be super rare (for now at least), it's just a pain to find one with the least markup and/or service fees tacked on. Will do, thanks for heads up!

    I dug around a few proxy services, and I found that they will help you get an item only if the item is from an ONLINE shop, which the Gundam Base unfortunately doesn't have (I think). I haven't read up on Buyee, however. I'll definitely look them up, and I'll keep on digging. Thanks for your suggestions!

    Could anyone share some tips on how to get a limited kit from the Gundam Base? I'd like to try getting the new candy coated Sazabi that was released this month, but the usual retailers can't help me this time.

    I couldn't stay long enough in the area for the convention, so I had to go with an online bid. I really wanted to stick around especially for Go Nagai and Eisuke Ogura, but it wasn't in the cards this year.

    I can't really say there is a BEST 3rd party company out there. Even the better known brands have released a stinker of a figure or two. I recommend looking at different reviews of whatever you're interested in and going from there. The ideal route would be to see the item in person, but most of us are not that lucky to have 3rd party dealers nearby. As for the seekers, Maketoys' Meteor is superb. It's not an accurate depiction of a F-15 by far, but the trade off for having an articulate rendition of the G1 bot mode makes up for it.

    The cleaner Countach looks superb, but ultimately it's not enough for me to kick the official Sideswipe to the curb. I'll pick up a G2 version if it ever comes down the pipe though. Great pics as usual Kuma!

    Horizon is the only AC game to leave a bad taste for me. I remember finally unlocking the XFA-27 on AC2; great times. It's not an official AC game, but Sky Crawlers for the Wii is AC with an anime skin and turboprop aircraft. Good stuff, even if it did have "easy button" during combat.

    I have reservations about any FM game that isn't a turn based strategy game ever since FM Evolved. I haven't seen too much of Left Alive, but I hope wanzers have a more active component than just being in the background. I caved and pre-ordered the Wander Art figs-the preorder price didn't make it hurt as much. I'm definitely getting the Frost wanzers as well later on. No love for dedicated missile or melee builds, Squeenix? It's surprising that Kotobukiya didn't go straight into plastic kits like they did with Armored Core. The resin ones are super rare with only three kits IIRC; Frost, Zenith, and Walrus. I'm still trying to make a good build of my Zenith.

    Good news: The wanzer figures Square Enix teased late last year are going to see the light of day, and they look excellent. Bad news: They're going for $90 a pop for each 4.5 inch wanzer. Being a die hard FM fan, the Wander Arts line is a god send, but 90 bucks for such a small figure makes me ache. Damn shame, I would've loved to form my own Durandal squad.

    My Downbeat is an excellent Jazz, but I still couldn't count out Coolsville, so I ended buying the Ricochet repaint to mix things up a bit. Aside from a couple aesthetic nit picks, I like him as well. On a related note, it seems T&R is STILL releasing their Jazz MP. Better late than never I guess.

    It looks terrible, but I bet ROAR is going to have more action than the original series ever had. The reboot from a few years ago was killer.
