  1. Yep, loser scalpers are a pain, but hopefully all your fears are for naught. Speaking of WalMart, since when did they start carrying the Encore stuff online? I tried to see of they had MP Starscream on their site-they didn't, but they did have the Optimus and Starscream Encore reissues.
  2. Fo sho. I go down to the bay quite often, so if everything works out one of us could save on shipping charges.
  3. I held off on the original MP Starscream for the inevitable G1 repaint, so I'll be giving the two Wal Marts around my area a couple of run-throughs this week. I'll let you guys know if I find anything here in NorCal. I'll be willing to buy two (If I'm that lucky) to provide one to an unlucky MWer, if they'd be willing to do the same for me. Like everyone here, I would hate to pay up the arse for this thing to a scalper. BTW, those add-on parts to the MP trailer are quite kewl - I really dig the raised emblem.
  4. Yeah, I remember hearing stories of those joint covers eroding the plastic joints on the old Bandai kits. Fortunately, I haven't seen this happen to my Labors. That's too bad about the aqua Griffon, though.
  5. Those joint covers, are they made of gray velvet?
  6. If there is, I could see it being a "secret" figure. This wave of gashapon is awesome. The number of toys that could potentially be churned out from this line is staggering. Maybe I could finally get a whole slew of Thunderforce fighters...
  7. Yep, Tiger Knees were a great addition to his move list, but I remember having a hard time pulling it off until it was changed to a DP command with a kick. IIRC, Joe's rocket knee had the same command, and that was changed too. I used to love using Zangief, especially with all the scrubs who would try to fireball me to death.
  8. 1. Terry - My all time favorite; a powerhouse with awesome finishers. His combos finishing with the Power Dunk are always satisfying to watch. Besides, only Terry can make that totally 80's outfit look cool (I don't really dig his bomber jacket ensemble). 2. Chun Li - My "starter" in all my trios. Great speed, nice poke moves, and always fun to play when custom combos are enabled. 3. Sagat - FAST projectiles with a nice arsenal of anti-air moves, with good reach to boot. Many a battle was won with Sagat alone.
  9. 1). OG Bubblegum Crisis 2). Aim for the Top! Gunbuster 3). Patlabor TV & OVAs 4). Cowboy Bebop 5). Kimagure Orange Road TV & OVAs Akemi Takada rox!
  10. This game looks dope, but I can't play it yet until I finish ACE2. BTW, does anyone know exactly what the cohesive story is between the two games? I can't seem to find anything that spells out the story. And just like Mike, I haven't run into any Macross mechs yet...
  11. Cool, I've always wanted to see these kits unpainted-they don't look too bad. The Selena looks nice; I always did like the AC heavies. Too bad Koto doesn't have any love for the 4-leggers.
  12. Great site A88! I was always curious about the KOR pilot episode and the unedited Windaria. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Thanks, though I'm not sure about the intake ramps. I wouldn't be able to get too close anyways since a couple of hornets flew out of it.
  14. Korean made monster movie? Sure, I'll bite. It can't be any worse than than latest Godzilla movies-and my girl sure knows how I love those...
  15. Hola! I wanted to share my pics from my first visit to Mc Clellan airfield (formerly AFB): http://s234.photobucket.com/albums/ee265/Valk_Hunter_D/ There are some real classics in there, but I was absolutely giddy to find everyone's favorite Cat way in the back. If you guys are ever around the Sacramento area in CA, drop by and meet some friendly museum curators who are really passionate about the planes they keep.
  16. Gawd, that's a whole lotta Blade Runner, but I think I'm gonna have to splurge on the 5 disc set.
  17. If CMs saw it fit to make the obscure Peacemaker, it'll just be a matter of time before the Zero makes an appearance. I just don't know if I should get two Peacemakers to give the Griffon some company. Hmmm, a die cast Zero. I wonder if CMs could still pull off the working lights considering a Zero has some real skinny lights compared to an Ingram.
  18. Woo-hoo!
  19. Mucho props to Yune for diffusing an otherwise flammatory situation. I can't say for sure I'd be able to keep my cool like that.
  20. Niiice, there's no way I'm gonna pass this one up. Is the Bud figure part of the deal or is it one of the randomly boxed figures?
  21. I'll be first in line for a nice, hefty Griffon. I love the MG kits, but once painted, I can't really manhandle 'em with my grubby hands. I too would like to see CM's do a Peacemaker. Not only does it look killer, but it'd also give the Griffon something to mop the floor with.
  22. Wow. I would love to see U.S. Armed Forces ads given the "power ranger" treatment...
  23. Mmm, good ol' Herzog. I had a hard time explaining to a newbie opponent why our own mechs couldn't harm the opposing home base...but nevertheless, it made for awesome battles. Seeing an absolute storm of SAMs making life hell for your opponent was sweet. Speaking of old great games, Shinobi 3 kicks much arse even today. Playing with zero shurikens made the game shine even more. Fighting the Guges look-alike mech with nothing but a sword is still a great gaming memory.
  24. Yeah, two of three games Warmaker mentioned was brought to the U.S. by Renovation, and I would always look for what they were putting out. I only knew them as the game company that had dem kewl annie-may cutscenes. I think the last Renovation game I played was El Viento. Good times, Warmaker
  25. Awesome! A real life GI Joe vehicle!
