  4. Hooray! 365 more days of this!?!?
  5. Interesting stuff. And please stop using "kewl"...
  6. I would't mind a new Macross project, but I think I'd be more for a side story on a major scale, kind of like 0080 (which is one of my faves). The Macross universe is such a large place that even the normal guys should be allowed to have their fun.
  7. Awwww, Js... you're not losing any friends. I completely respect your insight. While the letter of the law is clear, one has to admit that their is a grey area, percieved or actual, in regards to a lot of the items which are "bootlegged." But also, by the points you've made, even homemade kits like we've seen around here are technically "illegal" bacause they are using copyrighted concepts as source material without procuring a license to manufacture and distribute them for sale. If you're going to point out on illegality, you have to point out them all.
  8. After seeing that Griffin, they SOOOO have to doa Type-0!!!
  9. That's very honorable of you. I can appreciate that.
  10. Looks like you will get to live up to your name before this is done.
  11. Would you be willing to set your file up as a torrent?
  12. I'd like to see that link as well. I did the google search and didn't come up with anything obvious.
  13. Boo!!! One shall not invoke the dreaded "Wing" when referring to the great Griffin (which predates Wing by about 6 years anyways... so you can kind of say that Gundam Wing is kind of Griffin like.)
  14. What if Rocky threw a fight and no one came?
  15. I just watched Ep. 1 and, thus far, I'm impressed. Cel-shaded CGI has really made some leaps and bounds. I'm actually more impressed with that than some of the race footage, which seems a bit wooden. The backgrounds are extremely cool, and the story's pretty neat so far. I wonder where it'll go. And the product placement is hilarious.
  16. Yeah, but bear in mind that TAC lodged a countersuit which, hopefully, they will win.
  17. Not only that, but isn't that stupid clown walk that Basara flies controlled by a guitar? They could integrate the input device/guitar from the Guitar Hero games into the VF controller.
  18. I DL'ed the Freedom Previsited and Freedom 01 subbed, but I only got to watch all of Previsited. It's pretty cool. I like the animation a lot and the story could pan out into somethinig big. As for the obvious product placement? I have no problems with it if they've owned up to it from the start. It's when some company pays production costs to get their particular product in the background that it annoys me (remember in Matrix Reloaded when ALL of the cars in the freeway chase scene were GM models [given, GM did donate them]?)
  19. So this one really slipped under my radar. I guess going back to school, I was a lot busier than I had thought. Anyone hear about this new project by Otomo Katsuhiro (sponsered by Nissin Foods for the 35th anniversary of their infamous Cup Noodles. Apparently it's a 6 (or 7, depending on the source)-part OAV, and the first part is out already. Anyone got any more information, besides what ANN and Wikipedia provide?
  20. Well, to be honest, if Graham would like to remain a source for Macross goodies (as well as one of the first of the general public to see new designs), he does have to ask permission. His integrity regarding his advance knowledge of Yamato projects is what allows MW to be on the cusp of Yamato-based Macross toy news.
  21. Does anyone have a copy of Remember Me or Skull leader?
  22. Ummm... does anyone else seem to feel that Kyle MacLachlan was the inspiration for Rick Hunter in that image?
  23. Nanashi, I do know what Gamma radiation is... Either or, from what I read of the story summary, it seems a major portion of the plot is the forces which are unhappy with the sudden embrace of the zentradi, not the Gamma Reflex (reaction) Weapon. Yo8u may have a friend named Blacksmith, but that doesn't change the fact that it is not a very common surname nowadays (I was friends with a guy in high school named Chase Bentley... not that's hard to top), I think it just sounds a bit too contrived, like Rick Hunter or Jack Archer. Oh well. I'll leave this project in your capable hands. Keep us updated.
  24. p.p.p.s.- Chase Blacksmith? I also really loathe character names which are supposed to sound cool. Want to make them realistic? Grab a phonebook, randomly turn to a page and lay your finger down. The closest full first name is what you use. Do it again for the last name.
  25. It's not that it sounds like a bad idea for a fan-based story, it's just that the name sounds pretty damned lame. I'm not trying to offend you in any way here, but I'm assuming you came up with "Gamma Crisis" as a cool sounding name, and then wrapped the story around it (justifying it with the addition of the Gamma Reflex Warhead). I don't know... Macross: Gamma Crisis sounds just as silly as Robotech: Shadow Chronicles. It reminds me of some of the silly names for things that I came up with... in 1984... When I was 9. As of now, the only thing I have against your project is the name. I look forward to seeing how this will progress. p.s.- Zentrodi... with an 'O'? Trying to avoid a lawsuit? p.p.s.- If the noun is possessive and ends with an 'S', you must add an apostrophe, but omit the second 'S' (only in text, although it is pronounced the same). Macrosses should actually be Macross'.
