  1. Well, considering that 6ft has requested info on "region free" copies, I think bootlegs are what he has in mind. I hear Animeniacs is a good source.
  2. Dangerous Bob looks like he's got issues reloading his gun.
  3. I am weighing it on it's mechanical merits. Look at it in GERWALK mode, the artist clearly has a concept in mind: The body of the VF (chestplate, nacelles/legs, backplate) move forward in GERWALK. The vertical stabs move even more forward as well. Hence, it looks 'squat.'
  4. I'm not very impressed at all. All he's done is incorporate some features form SK's subsequent VF's and combined them all into one simple-looking hodgepodge: He's got the shoulder from the VF-9, the top of the intake/chestplate integration comes from the VF-3000. And I don't really like how the body of the VF comes forward in GERWALK mode. It loosk to squat. Not my cup of tea.
  5. So, uhh.... has this rule been revoked? I've been seeing some animated aves popping up lately and wanted to rip one out, but I'd rather not dedicate the time if it's going to be dropped.
  6. Ummm, PATLABOR THE MOVIE (1989) had a sub-standard DVD release by Manga, but now has a great release via Honneamise.
  7. I think he'll work wonderfully. The man is a talented actor and should breathe new life into a franchise that has been flogged more than the proverbial dead horse.
  8. Thanks for the props, Valk1!!!
  9. Tough question. I really don't know if it exists in published form. If anywhere, you'd probably find it in a game or hobby magazine from the time. Possibly even an ad. I wonder if anyone has the manual to scan?
  10. There's a pretty entertaining thread from the end of 2003 about this game: Thread
  11. Not really if that was the police labor design. It almost looks as if the designers for the new Transformers movie took a hint from this for their redesigns. And that's not a good thing.
  12. Nice stuff. I'm kind of bummed that Megaroad 2012 text covers up the bridge.
  13. Yeah, but you have to have WinXP, which most Mac users don't want to pay for. I just want to know what the benefits of .mkv truly are over other more established mediums? The first thing I ever had for .mkv was a fansub of the Appleseed movie and VLC plays that just fine. Igloo Ep1 played fine as well but no other release has worked at all for me. VLC keeps crashing, or won't play the subtitles, or freezes up. I haven't seen anything past Ep2...
  14. I hoipe you didn't pay too much for Battlecry. The market is so saturated that I regularly see it for under $5 used.
  15. Oh, and Knight26, while you are correct in pointing out the acronym- I'm thinking GERWALK has become a catch-all term for the intermediate mode between fighter and Battroid, as the Neo Glaug and the Variable Glaug do not sport wings in GERWALK mode, yet Kawamori still calls it that.
  16. Actually, there are two transforming Glaugs: The Neo-Glaug from the Macross Plus- Game Edition, which has a fighter and GERWALK mode. The Variable Glaug from Macross M3, which has all 3 modes. And, yes, KingNor- They are both canon. Sorry to burst your bubble...
  17. Actually, yes, I have. Many times. I could give a damn what year old movie is playing. If I wanted to see it, I already would have. That's why I said I'd rather prefer a couple more inches of space and leg-room, give my current read, and I'm happy.
  18. Yeah. Awesome. You pay for all of this crap to make one or the other, and when you want both you have to pay the same amount for all of the crap again. That's the one thing that chaps my hide about FIX is all the 2in1 sets. Thank goodness the only 2in1 set I want (so far) is the GP-04/Gerbera set.
  19. I tell you what, just give me a plane with a comfy seat and I'm fine. Screw the movies and screw the radio channels.
  20. One can only hope. I'm not clear on this, but I don't think the PS2 game sold as well as hoped. I don't think it sold poorly... but just not any blockbuster numbers. Unless there's a very hidden surprise, I think Studio Nue screwed the pooch by not planning a new project for the 25th anniversary. A new project in conjuction with the 25th anniversary would really spur an interest in the buying public for more Macross goodies. It would be the best time to release a new game, encompasing all of the official storylines from MacZero to whatever the new project would've been.
  21. Apparently someone does. p.s.- Dude, you are on the longest honeymoon ever!
  22. You're more than welcome. I actually had tried to look up SRLI, but that did no good. I finally tracked the correct acronym (and game) by looking up online games for Sony on wikipedia. I'm glad I was able to help. Too bad they don't support online play, but I think there is still a one player and multiplayer component to game. p.s.- Bring the kids along... the love video games!!!
  23. But remember, as has been so oft pointed out, that while you still have to pay an annual fee for X-box Live, PS3's online service will be free, and fully supported. That, in itself, is a major selling point.
  24. He's a decent producer, simply because he has the cash to throw around. His involvement could be strictly managerial.
  25. SLAI: Steel Lancer Arena International It seems, according to the website, online service is no longer provided for this game.
