  1. So I just wastched part 2, and I'm hooked. Some of the animation was a little wonky in this one, but the story is panning out to be pretty cool. There wasn't such blatant product placement. In fact, you only get to see characters eating Cup Noodles once.
  2. Wow! Maybe I was over-thinking my search criteria, as what I googled didn't come up with that at all! Thanks, Fulcy!!!
  3. Since my copy is currently on loan, I was hoping someone here at MW would be able to assist me (a web search is not finding what I need, although I may be using the wrong search criteria): In C.S. Forrester's The Good Shepherd, does he ever state what class of destroyer the main character is captain of, and does he ever give her name? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
  4. I'm DL'in the Shinsen_subs version right now. I'm hoping the good will I have from the first ep carries over. The product placement doesn't bother me at all. The anime is to celebrate Cop Noodles anyway. When you think about it, shows like Gundam are all about product placement... and it's much more prevelant than seen in Freedom...
  5. The faces on those mecha are giving me Mac7 flashbacks... NOOOOooooooo..... J/K! Good luck on the project. Some nifty art. The designs aren't my style, but it's very, very well done.
  6. The swords are almost exactly like how Miller drew them in the comic book. The wife and I saw it last night and we were both floored by it. It's an awesome movei. Afterwards, though, she fell into mentioning and asking about historical inaccuracies and I had to keep reminding her that the movie is not based on the battle of Thermopylae... it's based on a comic book that is loosely based on the battle of Thermopylae. Sometimes it's hard to get that through people's head, you know?
  7. I keep yelling at my wife: "Tonight... we dine... IN HELL!!!"
  8. Personally, I have much faith in this movie. I'm in the same boat as Mr March in that I am expecting this movie to be just like the comic: A highly-stylized and extreme fictionalization of a real historic event. What I would be excited to see is a "recommeneded reading" listing at the end of the movie, just like at the end of the comic.
  9. Just got a chance to watch "Dirty Hands" (had to record it due to being really busy this past week)- I have to say that it kind of sucked. The concept was good, but I was REALLY, REALLY disappointed in some crappy character actions by Adama and Roslyn. For almost all of the episode they are completely uncaring to the plight of the refinery workers and barely listen to Chief's suggestions, being total hard-asses, and then in the last five minutes they're both like: "Oh, your ideas are great, let's talk in open discussions where we will listen to your expertise." Eh... I think by adding in that whole Baltar thing, they really toook away from what could've been great development with the main plot.
  10. Volume 1 is still offered with the sale, you'd just have to wait for it to be in stock.
  11. That was hilarious. I don't think the show has lost it's way at all, and like what was said before: We can't have fighter action all of the time.
  12. Glad I could remind you!
  13. I don't think it's the disposable type. Ummm... gimme a sec... It's this set here. I'm concerned because it's a brand new set, and there doesn't seem to be much (or any) info on the web about how to deal with this problem.
  14. I know... it soooo sucks to have to wait!!! Rrrgrgrghg...
  15. So, I got a Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pen set for my birthday and I'm having problems: I've followed the instructions to the letter, but cannot get the pen to "start." Does anyone here have any advice, or has used these before? Thanks in advance for any help.
  16. Hey, not a bad line-up. I'm not too sure about putting a bunch of talentless "hotties" in as the chicks, and then having some really good actors (at least most of them) for the guys.
  17. Fusk off and die, Kamion. That was the lamest post I've ever seen. "Let's show a T-shrt with a crappy text layer over it AND NOT EVEN BOTHER TO FAKE IT FOR THE REST OF THE PICTURES!!!" Seriously... don't be foolish...
  18. Yeah, that was fairly worthless.
  19. Imagine the Patlabor the Movie reenactments you could do... Imagine them!!!
  20. Although I understood your statement but, the way it's written is initially a bit confusing.
  21. Ummm.. the Ringwraiths can't technically die unless certain, difficult, criteria are met. Isn't that cheating? Yes. Look again. Because the bad guys don't want to annhilate mankind, they want to control the world. You'll always find someone willing to throw their hat in with the wrong crowd.
  22. Say it ain't so!!! Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on for the Iron Man movie. GWYNETH PALTROW?!? Mizz tall, and gawky? Can't act myself out of a friggin' bag?!? Christ. Robert Downey, Jr. was a good catch for Stark... but, geez...
  23. Personally, I would avoid chopping barrels altogether. Adding a suppressor in paintball isn't actually such a hot idea, either. Paintball markers aren't really THAT loud, and any well ventilated barrel, especially those incorporating spiral rifling, are going to be inherently quiet anyhow (geez, remember the days when Automags came with this crappy Crown Point barrels with the diamind cut muzzle breaks? Every time you took a shot, the things would make this damned loud "TING!"). If you really, really want to do it, I'd suggest springing for a new, shorter barrel to begin with and go from there. I've seen more barrels get screwed by "user-improvement" than I have seen successful ones.
  24. A Motoslave would be the absolute bomb... if it was done right. I have a deep fear, though, that it could be really bad.
