It'll probably end up like when Quentin Tarantino driected an ep of ER. He knew he couldn't go too off the wall, so it ended up being just a really good ep of ER, but not really recognizable as a Tarantino product. -

HAHA! Have you SEEN the woman I married? Of course my expectations are lower!!! (just kidding, honey!) Seriously, though... The point really is that if we are going to be fed hollywood's version of "perfection", then they'd better damn well get perfection right. I have no problem ciriticizing the "beautiful" women I see on TV, but show me a real woman in person and I'll find something beautiful about her every single time. regardless of he figure/looks/size. Oh... and Monica Bellucci is totally hot. -

PSM gives Lair a pretty poor review. I guess it starts off cool, but get very repetitive quickly. I guess the SIxaxis control gets annoying as well, and there's no option to switch the controls over to the analog sticks. They give it a 5/10. -
Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time

What I love about MegaForce is when the vehicles go into "silent" or "stealth" mode (can't remember what they called it). Basically, they just cut the sound off completely, and what you have is a bunch of dune buggies and motorcycles working their way across the desert, kicking up dirt, dust and gravel... and you cannot hear a thing!!! Ahhh... MegaForce. I wonder if that's for rent at Hollywood? -

Yeah, they never experienced any hardship in their cultural history. Oh... something like having your populations being decimated by disease brought by Spanish invaders who kill as many people as they can and steal all your riches and gold. I think crying racism or prejudice againt RE5 is a little silly. If it's supposed to take place in Africa, what do you think the population of that continent is mostly comprised of. -

Not to be a snob, but that's actually "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone." -
I hadn't purchased a toy for years, now in less than 2 months I have Alphonse, Zeroshiki, and Unit 2 is on it's way. I can't wait for the new Patlabor stuff and the Macross stuff. Awesome.

Gundam 0080 on ANN's "Buried Treasure" Feature
the white drew carey replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
0080 is one of my favorite anime of all time. While I have to disagree with Keith's opinion, knowing him well enough I can understand why it isn't to his tastes. In some ways, it's the one Gundam that most tries to make the series human and ground it in reality as much as possible. I think Keith prefers his anime more over the top. -
Yeah, but it's the same blurry, pixelated file. If my "optimization" works out, I might do the same for the VF-4 and VF-11. Also, depending on how things go, I may go further and design finer details and alter some of the designs to smooth out the design and take it away from the boxy format it has now.

I so love the VF-9, so I decided to try cleaning up the PDF file a bit. This is something I tried to do with the Monster previously, but simply got tired of doing it. Since the VF-9 model is smaller and a little bit simpler, I think I can get through this. I'm going to make a red Millia, blue Max, and a blank which is just "line art" so people with a graphics program can come up with their own paint schemes. Here's a sample. my optimized version on the left, original on the left.

High Definition Media & Technology Thread

When it came time to switch to a flatscreen TV, I decided to run with a 32" widescreen. It's not a bad decision at any time. I justified to to my wife that if we ever move to a bigger place, the 32" can go into the bedroom, and we can get a bigger one for the living room. Haha! I was just a big cheapskate and got a cheap-o Westinghouse 32". I tell you, it looks just as good as my friend's top of the line giant widescreen. It works well enough for me. Oh well. I hope you're happy about any purchase you make. I originally purchased a Toshiba 36" widecreen HD CRT, but man, did that thing suck! -

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

She came up with the idea in 1990, so I'm guessing she kind of wanted to start the story around the timieframe of it's inception, and not the first publish date. ??? -

http://www.sonystyle.com/wcsstore/SonyStyl...df/bd-offer.pdf You know what really bugs me about GT4? When you're doing the rally races and you nidge the guy or hit the wall, you get a 5 second penalty, but he's nudges me and hit the wall, and doesn't seem to get penalized at all. Rrrrggrgg... I still love the game, though. I play it whilst riding my exercise bike. It keeps me from getting bored (exercise is extremely boring to me). I'm almost at the 50% completion mark. Hooray! -

I have seen them make mistakes, just not too often. I do agree that it's a bit wacky that they can nudge you and fly out of control, yet when you nudge them, they stay in control, and you lose control anyway. -
