The macross related "new thing" i remember was the lancer prototype but i thk that was a resin kit...there was also the YF-19 weathered announcement but i gather not many folks are exactly jumping for joy on that... Last year's VF-0 CF somehow dropped off the radar at wonder fest in feb so dont know if thats still on... Am just crossing my fingers there would be something announced or renewed...*cough* YF-21 *cough* soon

I thk the pod section is what makes the 31 a 31 hence i dont thk it would be removed. The opposite shld be true though, designing something that would enable the pod section to be raised whilst in armor mode.

Hmm the 03 this time looks to be the first radome valk whose radome can be folded away in fighter mode correct? Would this mean that if there was an armor/ add on pack of some sort that can be mounted on the 04 just like a regular valk... If so would it mean the first so called radomed armor valk? Ie a radome valk with kickass capability? Any ghosts not withstanding... That may be worth the price of admission....

Cool there are such hands! But my goodness dat price is asking for an arm for four hands haha... Thanks for the tip! look like those would indeed fit well into the 1d Also half expecting some one to scratch build those mini hand extentions like in the sdfm hand picture above..... This is getting more awesome by the minute!

Gonna take the other view cos those 01 head turrets bug me big time in fighter mode. Doesnt blend in as well as the rest of the valks imo but you prob view it differently.. The 01 is still my fav tho by a very thin margin...

Thanks for the close up posts bub. The d05 seems to have deeper lines than the rest tho. Prob a prototype difference or angle, i would thk all of them are the same. Now... i see the panel lines for the nose wheel carriage but the old lines i tot were for the wing wheel carriages seem to have disappeared again! oh well put it down as a prototype....

Time to nudge this thread? A lil hyped by the fact that hasegawa are gonna dealing with delta mecha models! i wonder if arcadia would be announcing anything macrossy or delta related...would they go frontier? Or would it just be megazone related... Normally there are announcments in april/may, no?

i know right? Hase has already set a ticking time bomb on my hype senses.... It does look like Hase is giving bandai a run for its money, just not sure how hase deals with mecha since their strength is in fighters... But am all in for the competition, let the best model win! BTW if things stay as they are, hase has got a head start already thanks to tenjin sin-sei

Am not sure how you would define demand, but i dont see used ones being sold cheap (ie below its retail price, but then again most valks hold up ok) so i suppose there is still demand there. For collectivity purposes...So far its the only YF-30 toy out there. No recolors nor variants, partly because it doesnt appear anywhere else?(ie manga/future delta episodes).. And with all the 31 variants coming up, a DX 30 variant doesnt seem likely. So from a long term perspective, would it be in more demand? For those who are valk completist's (is that a word?), maybe it would be.. I dont know if that helps or confuses you more

It may also tie in with the walkure singing competition, where they were finding a 5th singer to join them. I suppose this would have given them a reason to prep a seperate 31. Perhaps there is a seperate trial for the 5th valk pilot. Too many if's, but whatever it is, at least freya has a valk of her own to accompany her. haha..join the dark side ... the 31A is the general use non-FSW valk but the question was if there was another FSW 31 valk which was for general use. Which at this moment is a no.

Frankly speaking i would have tot the 31J would be a general issued valk. Dont tell me they fore-saw hayate joining the valk force and quickly created one esp for him? But as it stands, I would think the hero valks would be more of one-off's. Unsure if there would be another general issue 31 with FSW, as the 31A is a representative of the general issued 31. Will have to watch delta and see if they do indeed go down the 31 FSW for general use route.

However am not sure what he is saying abt kawamori's input or the fact that there are still some data points to be considered in the design.

Unfortunately all has been quiet on that front. Thats why it may be ripe for an annoucement soon. The dx VF-19 was released mid-june'ish, so fingers crossed there will be something....whats changed from last year of course there was no hi-metal releases mid year last year... Dont exactly know if that affects things but am sure bandai would have taken into account the wallets of fans...
