  1. Transformable or not--it doesn't matter, I'd still get it!! That's how much I like this particular armor!
  2. I don't think that even the "Ground-Combat Protector Weapon System" description for the GBP is entirely accurate, seeing as to how it was being used in the series and DYRL? I mean this particular type of armor has seen more combat time in the vacuum of space than anywhere else. The Macross.anime.net description comes close, of course!
  3. Ya lucky sonamagun!! First of all, ya might wanna pick up the january issue of HOBBY JAPAN mag. (2004). They've got a whole section there depicting the PG RX-78, like almost a dozen pages of great pix where I think you would be able to get a couple of ideas on how to start tackling the kit. Oh, and ya might wanna pick up a few GUNDAM markers coz these ya will definitely need. Good luck and congrats on the latest acquisition.

Welcome! Glad ya like it here, enjoy yer stay and post lots. See ya around!
  5. This might work for contemporary aircrafts. As for the VF-1 itself, I doubt it! I mean, C'mon, the VF-1 uses a microfusion engine/reactor!. I think everyone would agree that this is too much power for that particular "airbrake".
  6. CID Posted on Jun 7 2004, 12:54 AM After seeing reviews and having expeience with Yammi GBP, I think that the Bandai GBP is far more superior that the Yamato GBP. The Bandai GBP was made nearly 20 years ago and it still fits tightly on Valks and detail is pretty good for even today’s standard. In my opinion, Yamato needs to improve their Quality when releasing new toys. With today’s resources (Computers, better materials, etc.), Yamato should have made the GBP superior than Bandai GBP. It is shame that a company that can make such beautiful looking Macross toys can not correct its oblivious quality problems, before releasing it to the consumers. Well, that's the thing with businesses nowadays, they want a quick return on their finances. It's like ya said, if YAMATO would only put some extra time and effort into perfecting their stuff---man, we could end up with much more beautiful valks!! Oh, and hey CID, just love that armored TV MAX!! man, I wish that was mine!

  8. EH, never did like voltron anyway!! I always thought it was a cheap knock-off of the greatest combiner robot of the 80's---VOLTES V!!! Now this I wouldn't mind paying lots of mula for!!
  9. WOW! I never thought the words HG, DYRL? and OFFICIAL could be use in 1 sentence! Still not good enough to make me buy stuff from HG!
  10. Sephiroth Posted on Jun 6 2004, 12:09 AM ...and with my luck, Bandai will soon announce they are going to re-release the 1/55 GBP armor. From your lips to GOD's ears!! and thanks for the pix, SEPH!!
  11. Hey, ARROW, just like what the rest of the guys are telling ya--ya have to see it in all it's original goodness!! Ya owe it to yerself, man!

    Yammies per user

    Here's my input: 1/48 = 1 1/60 = 5 Thanks, MCPAZ!
  13. Hmmm...a 1/60 Yammie or a 1/72 Hase? I say get both !! This way you'll have both playability and detail!! I did and I've never had any regrets!
  14. A VF-0 Reactive Armor, Yeah, that's the way to go!! But I'd settle for a 1/48 GBP!
  15. Thanks for the tip, DOBBER! I've been wanting to pick up a kit of the VOYAGER for a while, maybe now's the best time, huh?!

    1/60 Gbp

Disappointed about the flaws of this particular GBP version, but as for me I'm gonna take the big kahuna's advice and just make a good display piece out of it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed though, for that 1/48 version! Oh, and GRAHAM, thanks for the review and congrats in advance for that little baby boy of yours!

    1/60 Gbp

Yes, it's about time this little baby came out and I agree w/ ya guys, it's looks amazing!! Can't wait for mine to come in da mail!
  18. Yeah, I liked the season finale, too, but a little disappointed with the way they ended the episode. It's just like what most of you guys are saying--it's too cliched! But the space battle was really great and let's admit it--we can't really get enough of that!!
  19. Let's hope that the guys from YAMATO will take a HINT!
  20. Mighty Thor Posted on May 24 2004, 02:15 PM hi connor99. Malvin's shop is "greattoys.net". Well, Malvin has a store in greenhills called "greattoys.net" and an online shop (www.greattoys.net). Or if you prefer to get from him via ebay his user name is www-greattoys-net. You can have your barkada check out Shopsville Plaza in Greenhills, specifically "blue lane", they have lots of toy shops there Hey, M.T., thanks again, man! I'm gonna check it out myself, gonna be out there in sept.
  21. Kumusta sa lahat!!! CHECKMATE & MIGHTY THOR-- thanks for the tip, GREATTOYS.net n' MALVIN'S SHOP in GREENHILLS--got it!! I'm gonna have the barkada back home check 'em out! UN SPACY--Hey, dude, I know what ya mean! Heck, even the PAL economy class tix are expensive. I've been using my aunt's travel agent for the last 3 years (she's out in PASADENA, CA.). She always tries to hook me up with the lowest possible prices on plane tix, that much I can guarantee. If ya want I can give ya her #. Man, GREENBELT is now the place! They've got bars and coffee houses lined up out there. And the Movie theatre is huge! Ya definitely might wanna hang out there the next time yer out in Manila. TANK--I know which store yer talking about! that's on the ground floor level of MEGAMALL, next to the arcade! For some reason I keep forgetting the name! The VOLTES V (I believe it was a GO DAIKIN) was still there in late feb. of this year, but I think they have already up-ed the price! I was almost this close to buying it, too, if not for my wife's nay-saying! GOD bless her!
  22. EXO< Posted on May 23 2004, 02:51 AM Bobe-Pat's not Filipino. He wouldn't know he's in Manila if a jeep decorated with a hundred metal horses hit him.
  23. Heck, why not?! It's gotta be a better than that other new movie coming out--"Day after tomorrow" or something?
  24. Hey, Guys, SAN MIGUEL STRONG ICE is now the thing, and I'd say it's better, too! A lot smoother than the regular SAN MIG, but packs a whallop just like RED HORSE! TANK-- thanks for the tip! I was down there in GREENHILLS valk hunting, too, but was shopping w/ da wife so I was kinda rushing and didn't get a chance to comb out the place. will do so next time, thanks! UN SPACY--when are ya going back? My wife lives 2 minutes away from ROCKWELL (powerplant mall). Oh, and yeah, BORACAY is the place!! Just loved the clear waters, the white sands and the seclusion!! Can't wait to go back!
  25. Hey, ARROW, yer lucky ya found a 1/48 down there. I'm in manila every 6 months and last feb. I was looking around and couldn't find a single 1/48. must have been looking at the wrong places! Could ya do me a favor n' let me know where ya saw 'em so I can let a few friends know (fellow MAC fans! ). Thanks, dude!
