  1. Fortunately for me, I've only bought the MAC toys that I really wanted and not in multiple quantities (although, I don't see anything wrong with having to buy like 20 1/48's or something! and with the exception of the HIKARU 1S! ), so a lack of space is not a problem for me. As for other reasons on getting rid of my collection, well, let's just say that I've wanted to start my collection since I was 10, so having to sell them off is probably out of the question. And yeah, I'm a Gen'Xer, too, if that wasn't obvious enough!
  2. If I happen to own 20 more 1/48's, MAYBE!! I mean, a 1/48 w/ FP's on already looks gorgeous! Why would anyone mess with that? The custom colors of ENIGMA, BLUE ANGELS and such, I can understand. But to take apart a(n) FASTPACK just to be able to put some lights in the booster nozzles?!
  3. I have 3 1/48's myself. 2 HIKARU 1S 'n a 1J. My 1J is just absolutely perfect (and beautiful! I think a lot of people here can attest to that!). One of the 1S suffers from a slightly loose airbrake like yours, MARX, but other than that I haven't seen anything wrong with them. Actually, it doesn't really bother me as much and I'm thinking of getting another 1/48. I'd say go with yer original plan and invest some money on that another YAMATO!
  4. goldenboy_forever Posted on Aug 5 2004, 12:51 PM man I can't wait for the 1/48 vf-1a cannon fodder drewel DAMN! What the hell is YAMATO waiting for in terms of having to release the 1/48 CF! It's just gonna be a re-paint of the 1A line, how hard can that be to do?! I think it's time for them to shape up!

    2 seater 1/48s

1/48 2 seaters, hmmm..... my wallet's saying NO!! But what I'm saying is "bring it on, YAMATO!". It's about time the VT-1, VE-1 & VF-1D all get the 1/48 treatment!!
  6. Ignacio Ocamica Posted on Aug 2 2004, 05:13 PM I forgot to add that owing both lines is a "win win" situation. I couldn't have said better myself! Despite all of the pros and cons of each YAMATO line, I still think that the 1/60's 'n 1/48's are some of the best looking toys in todays toy market. Who cares if one is more accurate in terms of lineart and such. Just take them for what they are, the best damned eye candy anyone can ever play with!
  7. Hey, MARX, did you pick up the FP's to go along w/ yer 1S HIKARU? hope ya did, coz if ya think that valk is simply beautiful, wait until ya put the FP's on! (Can ya tell it's my favorite! ). And don't forget the after-market decals!!
  8. Graham Posted As for saving the 1/55s for my son, why is that destoying them? I don't plan to give them to him until he is old enough to appreciate them. I agree with you on this one, GRAHAM! I've already bought my 1 1/2 year old son JACOB his own set of MAC toys. There's a little bit of everything in there--1/55's, 1/60's, 1/48's, BANPRESTO's and even MPC's. I figure I'll give it to him when he's old enough to appreciate MACROSS and let him decide which one he likes best! Sorry for getting off the subject a little bit, guys!
  9. Hey, thanks for posting these, SEPH!! I've been wanting to get a somewhat close up shot of an ENIGMA colored VF-1 and now I have it! I'm ready to put my 1/72 HASE 1S kit now!

    GBP-1S Armor

I'm with IGNACIO!! If you're a fan of the GBP like ya say you are, then you owe it to yourself to pick up the 1/60 version. I bought 2 myself, and I'm happy with them. As for the 1/48 version, well , let's just say that YAMATO might have to re-tool to be able to do that just like they would if they ever decide to come out w/ 1/48 versions of the 2 seater VF's. As you can see, we still don't know if they'll ever make 1/48 versions of the VT-1 'n VE-1. So, I guess the choice is simple--buy now or miss out on it!
  11. I'm with you, EXO! I love the VT-1 so much, I'd probably get a 1/48 version even if I had to pay an arm 'n a leg! Just gotta make sure the wife doesn't read this post, he-he!
  12. Getting worse? Not really sure about that, but of course, all I have in terms of comparison would be my 1/60's 'n 1/48's, so you guys probably get the idea. Now if YAMATO releases the VF-0 in the same aesthetic quality as in the pictures we are seeing right now, then that would be a first in terms of letdowns for me.
  13. Gotta buy my own house first, THEN I can think about having to get the windows tinted!!
  14. Just a little update on list above: 1/60 GBP and 1/60 GBP w/ HIKARU VF-1J are already out!!
  15. REDEMPTION, man, those look absolutely beautiful!! But I believe most folks here are still longing for that 1A CF, and to tell ya the truth, I'm one of 'em now!!
  16. I just saw DYRL? again tonight, and I was wondering--what was the name of that 3rd Zentraedi officer that was with Britai and Exedol when they met up with Bodolza to turn in Minmay 'n L.K. after their capture?
  17. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!! Now this one, I'm definitely not gonna miss out on!! Bring on the DINOBOTS next!
  18. DescipleMKII Posted on Jul 22 2004, 12:45 AM Yeah no kidding!!! I just ordered a set from valktronics. I cant wait to get em and add em to my VF-1s Hikaru. Now just need a 1j and fast packs. It never ends 1/48 HIKARU 1S, huh?! Very NIIICCCEEEE!! Just picked up another one of those for myself, too! And this will be my display/play piece! Hey, DescipleMKII, don't forget to pick up some after-market decals, too, 'coz those YAMATO issued ones just won't do! They're too damned thick!! Might wanna get yer hands on some Takatoys stickers or a(n) ANAZASI37 water-slide decal. Believe me, they're worth it!
  19. Thanks for the info, guys!! That's why I love this place, always learn something new! BTW, I think MAX deserved to get a higher rank, after all he is the better pilot.
  20. Twin Moons and Valkyrie-Exchange are a couple of good places to buy these from--on-line, that is! But I think Twin Moons are all out of the DYRL? FPs. Get them fast, dude, coz they're selling like hot pancakes!!
  21. Man, you guys are right--that thing is one ugly mother!! I hope this is not going to be the start of a trend for YAMATO! What a disappointment!
  22. My deepest condolences. Me and mine will be praying for you and yours. GOD bless.
  23. It's gotta be the DYRL? KAKIZAKI for me!! Man, This would have to be my holy grail! And it's really not that hard to make, all that it would entail from YAMATO's part is to do a repaint of a 1A---how hard can that be?! Still keeping my finger crossed, though.
  24. Hey, that's still a pretty good price--I mean, for how much it's fetching for nowadays!! Congrats on the latest acquisition, but I still think ya should bought 2 so that you could open and play with one of them!
  25. $40 a pop and ya can't even fit the gunpod to a 1/48 in its fighter mode when it's on the stand! What's up with that?! It's like having a bottle of Corona w/out da lime!! It's just not right!
