    Baby got back! Extremely humanoid proportions there -- I'm sure the fandom will eat it up -- but regardless, it'll be a great kit. The Furai IDW Prime was one of the nicest injection-mold kits I've ever assembled, and the articulation was crazy good.

    I'm not loving those hinged panels hanging under the intakes in Armo-Diver mode, either. I imagine this Legioss will best be displayed in Fighter mode... ...but good Lord, the pilot looks huge in there!

    Okay, that's fair point. I don't know what Arcadia was thinking there... They really should've followed Bandai's lead for their "Premium Finish" releases. Bandai's colors were much more accurate.

    Bandai set the precedent, having produced the first transformable VF-4A model. Those are the established colors now, superseding whatever RPG or fan-art depicted before. Like jenius said, it never transformed. Beyond what was depicted onscreen in Flashback 2012, nothing was canon until the Hi-Metal R. Despite appearances, yes.

    Yes, that's the Eta. Seeing Sentinel's Legioss next to their Houquet, their "1:48" looks a lot more like 1:60 to me... Definitely closer to Toynami/Aoshima size than Evolution Toys, anyway.

    I've always used the Sunbow cartoon for scale reference, myself... The Dinobots were always depicted much larger than their toys were, so we sometimes forget how big they were intended to be!

    With all due respect, Mike, I don't think that's necessary... HasTak provided us with the perfect Siege-scaled Grimlock a decade ago.

    FansToys' "Dibots" are indeed closer to their animation models, and more accurately-scaled than Gigapower's... ...in robot mode, at least.

    Being in Japan, Amazon.jp has been my go-to for every Japanese toy. They don't charge my card until it ships, domestic shipping is free, and I always get it on release day. However, recent pre-order pages all have this "10% consumption tax charged item" notice, and I don't know if that's included in the list price or not... and, despite their "pre-order price guarantee," they're not always the cheapest. Arcadia's Proto-Garland is a case-in-point: there are three third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace, and they're all asking less than Amazon's own pre-order price. Anime-Export got my business this time. Not only do they accept PayPal, but their asking price is the cheapest -- a full ¥3200 cheaper than Amazon!

    They transform your bank account into a smoking pile of rubble. Oh, and speaking of which: This 1:50 diecast German crane cost over $1000 USD. CM's Patlabor figures sold separately. No more complaining about the cost of Macross toys!

    Have they been exposed to direct sunlight? I have thirteen of the old 1:48's, and none of mine show any evidence of discoloration whatsoever. They've been on display for many years, but only in windowless rooms.

    It was all about modern re-imaginings, back then. I loved the full-on Dome Zero Classics Rodimus.

    I suppose a thread like this is justified for films that don't fit under the "Anime or Science Fiction" umbrella... or otherwise be of any interest to Macross fans.
