    FYI: That 1/72 Armored Messiah kit doesn't require any glue or paint. The parts are already colored & it comes with 2 different kinds of identical decal sheets: one version is water slide & the other is sticker decals. If your painting & gluing skills are limited, this is one kit you don't have to worry about.

    Laserbeak looks a little stubby. But a trade-off to have his laser mounts no longer removable i guess. I hope they don't sacrifice too much just to re-invent the transformation process with too much unneccesary re-engineering...

    A totally new head based on the toon? NICE. i wonder if it will be a red helmet like the toon or black like the G1 toy?

    Agreed. I met Joel & that BBTS crew at a Botcon years ago. They are a bunch of good dudes & their customer service is top notch. So i support them when i can. Infact, i bet BBTS will drop the price on Sideswipe before it hits. If it's retailing in Japan for around $60 then i suspect a little price drop from $83.99.

    Sweet deal! I just put a preorder in for HLJ too. That's a lot cheaper then BBTS. And 2 months earlier too.... I can't wait to see HLJ's price for MP Soundwave.

    True. I should have typed that the high quality silver Takara parts will be grey on the Hasbro release.... But it's only the feet & face, maybe the rims, so it shouldn't be a problem. But the way the TRU Prime is looking & with whatever exclusive price Sideswipe ends up being, maybe we will atleast get some silver from Hasbro. I wonder if the Autobot shield will be a decal or painted on?

    I've seen Rodimus & Grimlock in TRU. Both of those were easy to find & almost plentiful in my area. But with local TRU's closing this year will be tricky. MP Starscream & Skywarp i only saw once at Walmart at different times. And there was one of each & i found them because they were not in the correct section both times, different stores.

    So i predict at that size: the inevitable US retail exclusive release will be around $29.99 with no chrome parts. If it hits TRU, then you have a chance of finding it, If it's a walmart exclusive then good luck with that hunt.... i've found walmart exclusives in clearance before they even hit the figure aisle... But yeah, $80+ for a deluxe sized figure is all OUCH... anyone that can hold off for the 2014 U.S. release will be happy.

    I like it. It's not an alternator so the vehicle mode doesn't have to be absolutely accurate. Like many masterpieces it is influenced by the G1 toon as well as the G1 toy ending in a nice amalgam of awesome. Love the scale too.

    INDEED. Looks great. I forgot how awesome the old COUNTACH still looks. Glad i already preordered before the Yen increase. I'll gladly grab the Hasbro version too whenever it hits.

    aaahh... the Hikaru Holy Trinity. NICE. I got to start collecting 1/60's at some point.... This is all i have right now..... a couple of version ones... but i did finally join the 'Bandai Frontier Valkyrie owners club'. . .

    I wish they would just stop playing & do a full PS3 Macross game. This will be what, the 3rd 'test' game hybrid release? Seems like it would have been a no brainer by now.

    Agreed. I love them both & STILL play Ultimate Frontier weekly. i'm only referencing the lame performance of those Queadluun-Rau's in game. They handle so vastly different from the Valkyries & seem extremely under-tuned by default. Takes a lot to get them up to a decent performance level. As far as the game engine, i hope it isn't just a straight port from PSP to PS3, like so many HD collections lately. It would be nice there was more then just enhanced graphics & use of a right analog stick. Has the trophy list leaked yet? I wonder if there will be a platinum.

    Indeed. I wonder if they will have that team-up super attack? I just hope their performance isn't as lame as the PSP version. As in i hope this isn't just a graphically upgraded port of the 8 DYRL levels from the Ultimate Frontier game, but some new elements in the game engine too.

    A few hangar diorama updates.... I finally figured out a way to display Klan. She joined Miria's Meltran hit squad... My Macross quarters.... SDF style... Some more Destroid love, cuz you can't have enough.
