We're all hoping as hard as we can.

... VF-25G is restricted to "One per Customer"... gonna have to get a little nefarious, because I need 2 lol ...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they're back-ordered before I was finished shopping... nuts!
-
hmmm... I seem to have run my mouth based on hubris, and Unconfirmed intelligence [i can't read Japanese either lol]... maybe I SHOULD run for politics Make it wave... I'll buy as many as still making my mortgage payment allows
-
Perhaps the fact the prices are noticeably higher than other kits of the same size/detail is contributing to that... Even if it came with some stores and pylons, or a fret of photo-etch it'd be an easier price-point to swallow. A certain online retailer sells VF-4 recasts of recasts for $55US... I would venture the quality is abysmal, but it's still cheaper lol
-
I wonder if they're going to justify that price-point with Gimmicks... If so leave 'em out and make it cheaper, we'll buy more of them!
-
... at that price my ambitions need to be reigned in significantly... Jesus, that's $80 Canadian... for a plastic 1/72 fighter...
-
those are some pretty Rhinos... I have Hase's 1/72 Black Lions Rhino-F, and it's such a pretty scheme... I think most of these would be gorgeous on a VF-4. I'm particularly enamored with the Vigilantes, and of course the World Famous Golden Dragons

After going over all the paint schemes I wish to do this in... I may need more than 10... eventually. I hope this isn't a limited run thing.

In modern ships: The bridge is where one steers/controls the ship. The CIC (Combat Information Center) is where the radar/weapons systems and tactical info all gets displayed, and acted upon. In NuBSG navigating and fighting the ship is all done from the CIC itself.

$US I assume? well it could be worse...
-
any ideas on what the price range will be?
-
How have I missed these until now?!?! must have...
-
how about one with a polaroid camera, and one "Keeping up foreign relations"?

As one who almost EXCLUSIVELY builds aircraft/Valk's gear-up, I wouldn't mind! It would be nice to be able to display a two-ship where it looks like the pilots are actively flying/communicating, instead of sitting like Gargoyles in their seats, supremely focused on their instruments... that said, I do plan on doing a couple on the ground, so I'm likely going to pick up a ground-crew set or two anyways... One can never have enough good 1/72 flight-crew/ground-crew!! As far as planning out your sets, how many pilots are you thinking per set? Male/Female mix does not matter to me, as this is supposed to be the future, where women who can hack being a combat pilot get to be one, just like the men who can hack it. If you're doing 10 pilots per set, I don't think you'd have any trouble mixing in 3 or 4 females.
-
... Gonna need one of those too... any data on when either of these will be coming out? or are we all just going to have to salivate until more news?
-
Whelp... gonna need 10 of those... hope they're not TOO pricey

Perhaps it's a purpose-built VE training bird? The Ostrich is the same air-frame [which is markedly different from the VF-1's] as the VE, same fastpacks/leg armour... they may only have had 1 or 2 Ostriches aboard just so crews could train-up/Qualify on the VE without potentially pranging a very valuable/expensive ELINTSEEKER in a training accident... Or maybe they just built a block of VE/VT Airframes all to the same spec, and because they happened to be two-seaters, UNSpacy decided to use it since it was already there. Regardless, you're correct; it is a pretty design, and the trainer designation is... unbecoming of it's lines. I really like this low-er-vis scheme[not my work]

Very nice

Pilots with poses? THUMBS UP and SALUTES?! I'm in!! I'd like both DYRL and SDFM if that's the plan, but I'll probably pick up a couple sets of whatever gets made. good 1/72 pilots/ground-crew MADE for Macross?

the only way you can be hidden in space combat is to be at 100% EM emissions control... I always wondered about the wisdom of sending an AWACS anywhere near a space battle when it couldn't defend itself... now that I've read your post the ELINTSEEKER nomenclature makes A LOT of sense... it passively monitors it's assigned area, intercepting comms/radar and other EM emissions from EVERYONE ELSE to build an image from a more front-line position than the SDF-1 wants to get... Kind of analogous to a passive SONAR picket, only listening for EM instead of sound... neat idea... Sub-Surface warfare tactics applied to space...

Very nice! I'm loving that Reloader and ammo-belt as well. did it come from a kit? or did you scratch it? USAF Thunderbirds #5 is lead solo, and in this pic you can see his #5 [it's on the intake] is right-side up during the "Calypso Pass"

me too, but I managed to grab one of the last from Starship Modeler

Clear styrene is simply more brittle as a rule; the above is good advice, particularly if you're trying to keep it clear. all the other issues with it kinda fall away if you're painting it. I'm looking at the clear NCC-1701D on my shelf with a certain level of dread...
