1. I'd like to know if Yamato has plans for any more 1/48 VF-1 variants. I sure hope the Urban Camo GBP is not the last release in the 1/48 VF-1 line 2. Please remind them that fans really really really want Max & Miria reissues w/Super parts
-
Yes We don't know. Maybe There have been 5 releases of the Roy VF-1S I believe. They're all the same from the 2nd release onwards (except the seemingly random crooked tail fin skulls). ADD: Go to this site for more information about the differences between version 1 releases and version 2 releases

Well, if it were on BluRay, aren't Japan and US in the same region? That'd be cool. I don't know about the regions on HDDVD

I *think* South Ataria Island was changed to Macross Island in Robotech
-
Before any of us get too worked up about this - I don't think it's been mentioned by Graham whether or not Yamato or HLJ will be charging for the replacement parts
-
I wouldn't go THAT far, but I do agree that it does seem overpriced
-
Did everyone just miss Graham's post about his sig? Maybe we want new Yamato/Macross news so bad that even when Graham tells us he's not hinting at anything, we don't believe him

I believe there are 3 distinct color variations for the support piece: - White (included with the stand-alone Super/Strike parts and the TV 1J's) - Dark Gray (included with the standard and LV GBP armors) - Black (included with stand-alone Stealth Super/Strike parts and Stealth Super VF-1J giftset)

Minor nitpick, but they have 011 on the Hikaru VF-1S instead of 001

Transformers Super Thread 4: The Return
mister_e replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Transforming shoes is a retarded idea -
God! That is still, in my opinion, one of the ugliest VF's Kawamori has ever designed. That said, I feel the NEED to own it to encourage the production of enemy mecha, if nothing else
-
Because they knew, based on the interior of the SDF-1, the general size of the aliens that had previously inhabited it

Transformers Super Thread 4: The Return
mister_e replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
For those complaining about how dumb, moronic, or idiotic modern cartoons are, I think nostalgia is severely clouding your memory. Until just a few years ago, I still thought that 80's cartoons were so much better than today's stuff. I remember seeing Transformers Armada and thinking, "Wow! That is crap. G1 was so much better than this garbage." Well, since then I've watched a bunch of my old favorites from the 80's on DVD (Transformers G1, GI Joe, Thundercats, etc) and I really wish I hadn't. They are every bit as corny, cheesy, poorly animated, terribly written, and horrendously voiced as today's cartoons. You just think they weren't because you have fond memories of them. -
Nope, sorry, still doesn't make sense the way you phrased it. And I don't drink lattes

Doubtful. Guns popping out of hidden panels and car doors (poorly) pretending to be wings doesn't exactly = transforming

It's pics like those that remind you that the Legioss is REALLY small. Even at 1/48 scale (or 1/55 if you believe Toynami), that thing is still dwarfed by the 1/60 VF-0S and YF-19 -
I had to go check. Mine is gray also.

Aliens Vs. Predator 2 Script and Movie Review
mister_e replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Uh oh indeed - your pictures got chopped in half -
I wouldn't really call Voltron a transforming mech though. I guess, technically, the combining of multiple lions/vehicles into one super robot could be considered transforming... EDIT: Spelling

Used 1/55's always have such...creative...sticker placement choices. Oh how I wish we were getting one of these in 1/48 scale from Yamato... Anyway, nice catch on the vintage Super O! Congrats

I have 14 1/48 VF-1's and 1 1/60 YF-19 and so far I have not had anything break (touch wood). I have had the occasional weird QC issue, but nothing that broke the toy. Looking forward to picking up a VF-0 soon, but I must admit that I've been a bit hesitant due to the all of the broken shoulder reports.

Kurt, I don't know if you ever get tired of doing the Enigma scheme for people, but I certainly never get tired of seeing it. Awesome work as always!!

I thought it was pretty obvious that we were only comparing the VF-1 releases. Also, I think there are a few members who think the 1/60 VF-0A, VF-0A Shin, and Ghost should be listed as non-canon j/k
-
I think the 1/48 line is more complete now than the 1/60 line. Aside from the 2 seaters, the 1/48 line has 3 non canon valks, Hikaru's VF-1S, Kakizaki, Angel Birds - none of which are available in the 1/60 line. Also, ALL of the releases can be outfitted with Super/Strike parts.
